On the heels of What If…? season one’s warm reception, Marvel Studios head of streaming Brad Winderbaum knew that now was the time to pursue his longtime dream of reviving the beloved Fox Kids show X-Men: The Animated Series. The series aired from 1992 to 1997, and Winderbaum, as executive producer, is on the verge of releasing X-Men ’97, which picks up right where the original series left off as the classic X-Men characters are forced to find a way forward without the leadership of Professor Charles Xavier.
Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige required only two conditions before giving his blessing on the latest Disney+ animated series.
“Following the success of What If…?, when we were able to make more animated shows, [X-Men ’97] was my first idea out of the box. And Kevin [Feige] was like, ‘Alright, if we can get the [original] cast and we can get the song, let’s do it.

Back when the Marvel Cinematic Universe was still in development, Neil Gaiman was brought on board to develop an animated Thor series which would have led into the first movie.
The writer revealed this on Tumblr when a fan asked him if he’d like to work on Thor if Marvel asked.
“Long ago — around 2006 — I was asked to create a Thor animated cartoon, and I got all excited, and the brief was it had to be set before the Thor movie,” Gaiman said. “I did a deep Thor dive, reread everything Jack Kirby drew, came up with a whole story shape that ran a few seasons showing young Loki going from hero-worshipping his big brother to Going to the Bad, and then they told me I wasn’t actually allowed to have any of the characters at any point be different in any way from how they were in the Thor movie,...

Loki's sacrifice was a result of his journey to heroism, mirroring his mother Frigga's selfless act of protection. Loki season 2 and Loki's sacrifice reflecting Frigga's showcases the bond between them and his redemption arc. Loki's sacrifice solidified his status as a hero and protector of the multiverse in the MCU.
One of the most tragic MCU deaths from 2013 may have been responsible for Loki's sacrifice, and therefore saving the multiverse. Loki’s MCU journey is one of the most complex in the franchise, with his time on the Sacred Timeline culminating in his gruesome death at the hands of Thanos at the beginning of Avengers: Infinity War. Avengers: Endgame then saw his MCU tenure resume as he became a variant via the use of the Tesseract, thus commencing his character-defining adventures with the Tva.

X-Men ’97 will have surprise cameos just like its predecessor, X-Men: The Animated Series, as confirmed by the series’ executive producer. While the original show revolved around mutants, it also saw several Avengers paying them a visit.
X-Men: The Animated Series
The animated show featured appearances from Marvel heroes the likes of Captain America, Thor, Black Panther, and even Doctor Strange. Indeed, the reboot will follow just the same. In fact, an insider revealed that the Sorcerer Supreme will briefly join the project as well.

Anthony Mackie is all set to get his solo Captain America project in Captain America: Brave New World, slated to release in 2025. Sam Wilson has to fill in great shoes and carry the prestigious mantle after Steve Rogers passed his Vibranium shield and his title to him in Avengers: Endgame. However, the Disney+ show, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, explored Wilson’s journey from being Falcon to Captain America.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was the second Disney+ MCU series following WandaVision. ‘What If…?’ brought a new flavor to the MCU. Despite mixed reactions to its first season, its success led to more seasons and an expansion of the multiverse.
Season 2 unfolded unconventionally over nine days, with each episode serving as a holiday treat for fans. Even before its release, Season 3 was confirmed, rumored to be the show’s final installment, possibly airing in 2024. Brad Winderbaum hinted at the inclusion of boundary-pushing characters and deeper exploration of the multiverse.
Rumors have long hinted at Storm’s appearance in ‘What If…?’ Season 3, though some speculate she may debut in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’ Regardless, according to leaks, Storm will wield the iconic Marvel weapon, Mjolnir, in the show.

The Shin Megami Tensei games have become some of the world’s biggest and most popular RPG series of all time. Standing alongside the Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy franchises, Shin Megami Tensei has proven itself to be an incredibly successful and long-lasting series, spawning multiple spin-offs, sequels, and cross-media expansions over the years. With three major series to its name with multiple titles attributed to each, plus over 20 spin-off titles, the Shin Megami Tensei series is simply massive.
It would be only natural for the series to enjoy various anime and manga adaptations over the years. Existing across many of the Shin Megami Tensei titles, the many animated films, OVAs, and anime series have all helped to broaden and expand the worlds of their respective games. With so many having been released over the years, it can be easy to overlook a few that may have fallen through the cracks.

‘What If…?’ was a breath of fresh air in the MCU; despite the first season of the show receiving a somewhat mixed reception from fans, it was successful enough to warrant additional seasons and expand the multiverse.
Season 2 was released in a somewhat unconventional manner over the course of nine days; a single episode was released, like a gift for fans to unwrap over the holiday season. Long before Season 2 was even released, we knew that Season 3 was in development. However, it’s important to note that Season 3 is rumored to be the show’s last, and according to some reports, it might even be released in 2024. Brad Winderbaum recently discussed the potential characters that might appear in the third season, he claims that they have started pushing the boundaries a little bit more and that they’ve started playing around with the concept of Multiverse a bit more.

Road House 2024 successfully updates the 80s cult classic with a diverse cast and a more explicit backstory for Dalton. The chemistry between the A-listers and debutants in the remake elevates the action film, drawing in positive reviews. Jake Gyllenhaal's charismatic portrayal of Elwood Dalton, along with Conor McGregor's Knox, add depth to the character dynamics.
Despite following the same basic story as the original, Road House is a surprisingly worthy update to the 80s cult classic, introducing a range of new and replacement characters. Like the Patrick Swayze version, Road House is an irreverent action movie, drawing inspiration from Western movie tropes and conventions. However, while the original movie failed to impress critics, Road House 2024 has enjoyed a generally positive reaction, largely thanks to the performances of its impressive cast.

Terence Davies, the poet of regretful longing and crushing societal constriction, passed in 2023 and left behind an impressive filmography. Let's sweeten the pot by choosing a film that happens to star Tom Hiddleston, just before he officially became Loki. Even better, let's throw in international treasure Rachel Weisz as top billing in top form. If we add all of those ingredients together, we get a slice of the most achingly British and tragic of melodramas. I'm talking about a little film called The Deep Blue Sea.

When we reviewed Mythic Battles: Pantheon just a month or two ago, I had no idea that soon-to-follow would be a newer, more refined take on the divine conflict genre that I had immediately fallen in love with. Mythic Battles: Pantheon is brilliant, and for me, the Greek mythology setting is perhaps the absolute pinnacle – but Mythic Battles: Ragnarok is more refined, more balanced and arguably – even though I enjoy the Norse mythos less – even better. The fundamentals of gameplay are the same, but you can see where four or five years of feedback has been invested in Monolith’s immense follow-up.

Marvel Studios has been setting up several superhero teams that could replace the Avengers in the McU's future. The Avengers began as a New York-based group, but have since expanded their jurisdiction across the entire world, and even into space. The Defenders and the Young Avengers could protect New York City while the Avengers head off to fight multiversal threats.
Two upcoming superhero teams in the MCU could replace the Avengers by embarking on adventures closer to home. The Avengers first formed in 2012's eponymous The Avengers to protect New York City from the Asgardian God of Mischief, Loki, and his Chitauri army. Initially comprising Tony Stark's Iron Man, Steve Rogers' Captain America, Thor, Natasha Romanoff's Black Widow, Clint Barton's Hawkeye and Bruce Banner's Hulk, the Avengers quickly became worldwide celebrities. As the Avengers line-up has grown over the years, the team seems to have forgotten their roots,...

It is true that when you start portraying one character so perfectly in the film industry for an extended period of time, they start getting recognition and become synonymous with it. Such was the case with Elizabeth Olsen, who rose to international stardom with her portrayal of Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Well, if one gets an opportunity to work with one of the most successful superhero franchises in the world, they would definitely take it, as it’ll put them on the list of the top stars in the industry.
Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
However, the Kill Your Darlings actress had grown bored of her superhero role and wanted to step back because she felt it killed the acting range and limited her opportunities as an artist. Now, her dream has come true as Olsen is going to...

Universal is bending time and space to set a date for Ke Huy Quan’s next movie. The studio will release With Love on Feb. 7, 2025. With Love marks the Oscar-winning actor’s first time leading a major movie.

The film continues the trajectory for Quan, who broke out as a child actor in movies like Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Goonies, before spending decades without acting roles only to return with an Oscar-winning performance in Everything Everywhere All at Once. He has gone on to star in season two of Loki.

MCU’s attempts to change how studios approached TV has been a hit or miss, as apart from Loki and a few exceptions, the reception to most Disney Plus MCU shows has been mixed. And it seems the failure of high-budget shows like She-Hulk and Secret Invasion was the last nail in the coffin, as moving forward, the studio will be approaching the medium more traditionally.
This resulted in MCU’s upcoming show, Daredevil Born Again, starring Charlie Cox, undergoing a complete overhaul, with its production going back to square one. Fortunately, this resulted in two fan favorites from the original show being incorporated into the new one, and Cox couldn’t be happier about the matter.

Following Daredevil: Born Again‘s initial announcement, it was revealed Foggy and Karen weren’t going to be jumping ships from Netflix to the MCU.

Parting is such sweet sorrow, particularly when it comes to Emmy voters. In recent years, the TV academy has given goodbye hugs to four Best Drama Series contenders for their final seasons: “Succession” (2023), “Game of Thrones” (2019), “Breaking Bad” (2014) and “The Sopranos” (2007). The only other dramas to land on this farewell list all hail from many decades ago: “Upstairs, Downstairs” (1977), “Elizabeth R” (1972), “The Bold Ones: The Senator” (1971) and “Playhouse 90” (1960). Will “The Crown” now become the ninth such program at the upcoming 2024 Emmys?
According to Gold Derby’s early Emmy odds, “The Crown” is way out front to win Best Drama Series for its sixth and final season. Rounding out the likely Top 8 nominees are “The Morning Show,” “The Gilded Age,” “Slow Horses,” “Loki,” “3 Body Problem,” “The Curse” and “Sugar.” Netflix notably split up the last episodes of “The Crown” into two parts — the first part streamed November 16 and dealt...

Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror was positioned to be the Thanos-level threat for the Multiverse Saga. However, given that Disney has cut all ties with the actor in the wake of his conviction, the race for who would be the next big Avengers antagonist has been thrown wide open.
Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantomania
There are two tiers of the conversation surrounding the fate of the main antagonist of the Multiverse Saga. Despite Kang Dynasty no longer being the title for Avengers 5, a certain number of fans are still sure that Marvel will simply recast Jonathan Majors and continue with their plans as they were, while another section of the fandom is busy speculating who would take Kang’s place as the new multiversal villain.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is having a rough time lately. After being inundated with Marvel media in recent years, audiences had basically been given too much of the MCU, and things were getting ridiculous. Marvel Studios head and the chief architect of this shared universe, Kevin Feige, had basically saturated the marketplace with movies and streaming shows to the extent he'd essentially devalued the currency of the MCU. Ultimately, way too much Marvel became the company's kryptonite.
Thankfully, it seems Feige and Co. are trying their best to course-correct, with just one MCU movie scheduled for 2024: "Deadpool 3." Existing projects have reportedly been undergoing rewrites, and upcoming streaming shows will seemingly adopt a more grounded approach to the source material, as was the case with the action-packed "Echo," which debuted on Disney+ in January, 2024. Whether any of this will manage to restore the MCU to its former glory remains to be seen.

McU's Phase 6 Avengers team might be led by Sam Wilson, whose tactical skills, strategic mind and good instincts would make him a strong leader. Superpowers usually have a lot of implications that we don’t see on screen. While properties like My Hero Academia dive deep into these implications, superhero universes like the MCU tend to shy away from them. For example, Captain America has a metabolism that is four times faster than the average human being, as revealed in Captain America: The First Avenger. While it keeps Captain America from getting drunk, it also has certain other implications for his body.
