The Head of Social Services, Mrs Pool catches Roger doing his atrocious busking act. She remembers him applying to be a carer for his mother. The assigned caseworker thought the family being really weird and left her job.
Mrs Pool finds his file and makes further enquiries. This time Edith does talk to social services while Phil decides to inexplicably put his head in a paper bag. To his surprise Roger is accepted as a carer for his Aunty Joan.
There is a shock in store for Edith and Phil. Wendy's published children's book is a big hit but it is a thinly disguised story about them all as the Lemming family.
Another mirth free episode. The only bit I liked was Phil and Mr Dugdale having a tender chat about the souls of animals. I like to think that somehow Phil and Edith are getting closer to walk away to the sunset.
