It's time for the church bake sale in part to raise money for a new roof. Although Pastor Nina has mentioned it to him before, Umma seethes about wealthy Jimmy Young's misogynistic attitude where baking is women's work, while he can feel superior in writing a big fat check as a donation. In turn, Umma is mad at Appa for not saying anything against Jimmy. This attitude extends to Umma wanting to take charge in items that normally Appa would have taken care of, Umma not realizing that her behavior, as it relates to a fender bender in which she is involved in the church parking lot, is her trying to be a "man" instead of an empathetic human being. Umma's attitude also extends to the bake sale, where someone else who remained quiet during Jimmy's misogynistic rant has to take charge of the Kim family donation. At Handy, a birthday card for Shannon is being passed around the employees. Jung is told that he signed the card "Love Jung", which he doesn't think he did but under the circumstances can't get the card back to check himself. In the chance that he did sign it "Love", Jung has to figure out a way to diffuse the love in this circumstance not to mean the four letter word. And Janet gets into a venting relationship with Gerald about Chelsea, which Janet eventually learns is not the only venting relationship between the three of them. As such, Janet tries to get into a venting relationship about Gerald with Chelsea, which may be more difficult to establish than Janet expects.
