Pilots for a series are...Generally pretty rough territory. They're given the hard task of trying to show the audience the best of what they have to offer, but in the process must deal with the fact the show clearly hasn't found it's roots yet and needs time to improve.
And sadly, WTF 101 is no different. This is pretty clearly the episode they had the hardest time with. The humor doesn't really land, we don't learn anything about the cast outside of Professor Foxtrot and sort of Jason, and it's honestly just very generic compared to the rest of the season, and you're unlikely to revisit it. The side characters are pretty memorable though, which saved it from being unwatchable.
I honestly encourage sticking with the show, as it really does eventually find a groove, but this episode and the two that follow it really only showcase the worst aspects of it.
