A solid ending to a very good Arc
nicofreezer26 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The Governor ans The saviors were a better arc, but Alpha and Beta were also fun to watch, even tho we miss Rick Grimes... Very emotional arc with a great idea ( Zombie Talking !!) Gabriel survive, and what a badass Kill of Beta.

Eugène has become one of my favorite character, same for Judith Grimes 8.75/10 episode.

Carole and Daryll.
BoulosSoueileh4 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
It was a good episode, I liked to many aspects in it, we expected a fight episode but we got an emotional one, It was so good to see those guys back again working, I was so happy seing Carole and Daryll, and MAGGIE! The way Maggie came back was epic, you'll cry at this moment, the love between Carole and Linda was so emotional. "she wouldn't have left if she didn't know you are here with Judith". No Carole you were wrong, Daryll was there for everyone. One thing Beta fight with Negan should have been longer, and more actions. That's the bad part about the episode. BUT yes the way he died surrounded by walkers was so good, It was the end Beta.

a successful way to end the whisperers
hashemsaydali4 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This episode is the conclusion we've been looking for, don't make that fight scene ruin it for you, It's not an action series, just know that Beta's madness made him go that way and it's just the right way! this episode deserves to be 9+/10 , it reminds us what the Walking Dead really is

Incredible finale that is well worth the wait. This is the first episode that had me on the edge of my seat since episodes like 7x01 & 9x15. Phenomenal moments, character interactions, & plot twists all throughout!

Hands down, one of the best TWD episodes!
Alexlionfire4 October 2020
What a ride! What a crazy, crazy ride! I've been with TWD since 2010. This, here, is one of the best episodes in the series. The tension, slowly building, the sheer terror, the amazing acting, the bonds, the enmity, the hidden dagger in a crowd of walkers. Daryl, Carol, Negan, Maggie! They have all come this far. A very fitting ending for the Whisperers. The entire episode was such a masterpiece. The wait for the next episode is going to be a loong one.

Brought me to tears.
VOIIIXI5 October 2020
Season 9 and 10 of this show have been close to a masterpiece. I can't tell you how much I loved the way they turned the show around. The character development is fantastic and very emotional, the cinematography, the acting, the directing, the score, all perfection. 10 is one of the best seasons in the walking dead. I love every single character in the show. And I absolutely loved the ending. This show deserves awards. I cannot wait for season 11.

Overall, this episode was great
thiagocurty4 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This episode had ups and down, with moments of great tension. What left me disappoint was the Beta's death, this scene was very fast, there wasn't the big fight Daryl and Negan vs Beta that everyone expected.

Very disappointing
instarunners5 October 2020
For me, one of the worst season finale, probably the one I was most disappointed with. Very poorly directed and a totally confusing story, they had good ideas, however, in execution it was completely confusing. Everything was too fast and looked like a children's soap opera. Sometimes, I think this series started to be afraid to kill its characters. Honestly, this episode managed to get worse and more disappointing than the season finale of season 8. I didn't wait all these months to see a silly soap opera.

Warning: Spoilers
Let´s see. We´ve been waiting for this for six months. I was hyped at first but i´ve been losing it while the time was walking. There is a hord around our heros but the hord doesnt do so much. There is a really short fight between Beta and Negan, but he´s killed by a knife, cmmon you´ve should done it better. Maggie and the mask one did enter to the hospital (around walkers) with 0 difficulty. A good plot developed poorly.

Ridiculous ending!
egatheral2 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Big big up for nothing much really. Poor flaws yet again like some of the characters managing to walk through the herd with no masks on and barely get recognised by any of the whisperers.

Never get why the characters insist on meeting strangers they meet over a radio then get surprised when they aren't who they think they are!

The stormtroopers at the end was enough for to confirm I've gone as far I want to with this show. You have Carol & Ezekiel dressed like they are characters from Robin Hood Prince Of Thieves and then you have stormtroopers rocking up at the end of this one.

Awesome climatic finale supposedly.
cruise015 October 2020
5 out of 5 stars.

Finally after a long wait for the finale. Until there will be more episodes to cover after this for this season. It was an awesome whisperers war that does not disappoint. It was thrilling and exciting throughout. A few parts of gory that makes it feel like George Romero was involved with a person being eaten by the dead.

There are a few surprises. Some characters returning after there absence. And a mysterious character that may raise questions. The final scene does end in a cliffhanger and raising more questions on certain people encountering something new. I can not review this season yet since there are additional episodes being added for this season. But this season so far has been one wild ride. That brings some scary villains. Gory and gritty direction. And a lot of edge of your seats moments.

A breathtaking experience
Exodus2335 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I went into this episode with sky-high expectations after many months of waiting. Was it worth the wait? Yes, absolutely.

The episode covered several of my favorite scenes throughout the show's lifetime. Among the favorite moments were the intense maneuvering through the horde, the music wagon, the fight scenes with the remaining whisperers and not least Beta's epic death.

Season 10 remains one of the very best seasons that The Walking Dead has produced. Nevertheless, six new episodes will be released in the spring of 2021. Let's hope that these cover Maggie's adventures, Virgil, Connie's story after the cave, The Commonwealth and other potentially interesting angles.

The anticipated season 10 finale is here and it didn't disappoint, a superb conclusion to The Whisperer arc
Holt3445 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
A Certain Doom takes place directly after the previous episode that came out in the 5th of April, in that time I took the opportunity to re-watch the show once again. The previous episode was a build up that ended with Aaron and Alden held at gunpoint by the Whisperers, The Tower under attack by Beta and finally Eugene and his group of people on bicycles to get to the meeting with Stephanie.

A Certain Doom is suspenseful from start to finish and filled with moments that fans of the show and graphic novel will enjoy. I was sitting on the edge of my seat the whole time, except for when we followed Eugene but the arc with The Whisperers was incredible. The Tower is the group's strategic stronghold where they'll make their stand against the horde of walkers and The Whisperer. In some episodes the characters make some really stupid plans or a character thinks of doing something that will mess it up, but that isn't the case here. The plan was well thought out and well written plans makes it much more entertaining for us viewers as we get to see the characters we love really be the strong survivors they are. The episode has some great horror in it as well, the musical score plays a big part in that horror. It felt like the horror from season 1 that we love There were lots of memorable scenes in this episode and many good performances, there were nothing mind blowing as there were so many across and characters to follow but the actors that I really stood out was: Ryan Hurst, Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride and Cassady McClincy. Their performances was my favorites of this episode. The return of Maggie Rhee was also nice, it wasn't a great performance as she was just there and didn't say much but Maggie is back and it made me happy after all that intense and suspense.

Greg Nicotero directed this season finale, like he usually does and this have to be one of the best episodes he have directed and I could see him in the director chair for the Rick Grimes movies. His direction plus the script was amazing, perfect even, Corey Reed nailed the writing of this episode. Greg Nicotero is also head of the makeup and special effects department and I can say that there are some stunning and terrific zombies in this episode, how they keep making completely original zombies blows my mind every time. There were also some incredible cinematography in this episode, the camera work and the beautiful scenery made for some great looking shots. As I were watching I could just understand how much this episode mattered to everyone, 10 seasons of TWD and now we're waiting for the final one.

I want to talk about Beta and his demise, I found it really fitting and he couldn't have gotten a better death than that. Ryan Hurst, the actor who played Beta totally nailed the performance of this fan favorite character, actually making it better than the comic version of the character. The change from a well known football player to a well known country singer made much more sense. It was a brutal death, but it was beautiful in a way. Maybe thanks to the direction and editing, but it was a beautiful ending for the character. Let's talk about one of the last scenes of the episode, seeing Connie alive but that Virgil was on a horse next to her, will he grab and kidnap her? So many questions, I can't wait! I also want to comment on the cliffhanger ending, I wasn't surprised as that would have been the perfect way to end the season, and it reminded me of the season 4 finale. The guards of Commonwealth looks comic accurate, a little bit funny for non comic readers I can guess but I love the costumes.

Fantastic ending to the Whisperers story arc
WeAreTheWalkingDead5 October 2020
Amazing episode & certainly another instalment of TWD that I can add to my favourites list. It had everything I wanted to wrap up this Whisperer arc & can't wait to dive into the Commonwealth story next season.

A couple of reviewers that some may be familiar with here, criticises how Maggie was able to get into the Hospital to save Gabriel despite the Walker hoard surrounding it. During the sequence of events during the episode, they started leading the hoard away by playing music, during this was when Maggie & her masked friend were able to get into the Hospital as the Walkers would've been considerably thinner, if any were still left, & easier to get past & into the building. Try harder to troll next time.

I've also seen people moan about the 'lackluster' fight between Negan & Daryl vs Beta. There's only so much fighting you can do while amongst a Walker hoard, if that fight lasts any prolonged amount of time they're all dead. Look at how quickly Beta was consumed by the hoard after being defeated. Anyway, it was also an ambush on Beta, distract him, kill him. There was no way Daryl & Negan beat him in a 1v1 fight in that environment.

Finally, people are complaining that this episode 'wasn't worth the months of waiting.' Unfortunately this episode wasn't months in the making, it wasn't as if they decided themselves to take a 6 month break from airing to film a blockbuster episode that needed those months to film. Not anybody's fault this had to wait 6 months to air.

Don't know why we had to wait 6 months?...
ellaloujoyce6 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The episode was pretty good to be fair, but it was almost like watching the last hour of a film and thinking, I will watch that from the start next time. It took so long to be edited (which looked crap) that I kind of forgot what happened before. The series has become repetitive and a bit boring, so I was exactly looking forward to the episode. I will say, I was very sad at the thought of carol going out like that. Suicide I get in that world, kill yourself before a walker does, but don't literally go down with them!

Why would this be 10/10?
sbuhrman-747985 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
A lot of people are saying this was the best episode of the season AND as someone who quite the show because of hating it and then returning to find that the show only got 100% better, I'm very confident this was not the best episode of the season. A disappointing finale (which luckily won't be the "finale"), but a lot of great payoff for character arch's and relationships. Very little dialogue in the entire episode and even though it's an intense feeling scene during the whisper ...march?.... we know the expendable characters will die and the main ones will walk unscathed. So I was never really worried.

Maybe it was just because I had many months of a break and jumped into the finale without rewatching the last episode again. Either way, was expecting more. Way way more. Non the less, it was entertaining and on point with a very good season. I still look forward to the rest of this show! And beyond ;)

A Very "Middle of the Road", Has it's Moments, But Falls Before the Finish Line, Finale.
Liam30115 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
To say we waited 5-6 months for this finale, I hate to say it...

Disappointed.

While it has it's moments of excitement and tension, it ultimately falls short and lacks pay off. It proves my point that the Whisperers weren't really that big of a deal, as their send off felt unsatisfying and rather 'meh'. I've said it since day one, The Whisperers haven't felt threatening and their send off here just proves that. There was no feeling of "Yes, our heroes won!" by the end of it. In fact, I was rather empty when it happened.

The Whisperers are gone. Wait. They were here in the first place?

This episode sums up the season very well. Extremely Jekyll and Hyde. At times you have something amazing, other times? Nothing really worth watching. This episode had a mish-mash of both. (because despite me complaining, there are moments I thoroughly enjoyed, such as Maggie coming back and saving Gabriel from death; as well as Lydia saving Carol from suicide.)

For those praising the episode's ending, by the way, are most likely the same people trashing on 06x16's ending. We waited how many months for a cliffhanger ending? (For one episode, might I add! Not 8!) And now we have to wait even longer to actually see a continuation. Utterly ridiculous.

This episode also didn't feel like a finale. It felt like a regular episode, with a finale-esque ending.

Shame it couldn't have been so much more...
