Contrived
Hitchcoc21 September 2023
Faye is at the center of everything in this show now. Katrina is in her good graces with her because she is a solid citizen. Susan tries to pull a fast one. Louis is out of his mind, screaming and accusing. Faye insists that Harvey and Donna become one voting unit because of their relationship. Alex returns to the thing that has been producing guilt in him for years when a guy he worked with forces his hand. Ultimately, it would seem that for the first time we really do get to see Faye has having personal motivations for her puppetry. There is also a tiresome thing going on with Harvey and Donna coming clean to their parents about their relationship. The ending is just too precious.

Unnatural

Warning: Spoilers
The writing in this season has taken a noticeable dip in quality. This episode in particular wasn't poor overall - it had some redeeming qualities, including the Alex's past plotline. However there are certain recurring features which detract from the overall quality.

Squabbling and petty conflicts amongst our favourite characters have been shoehorned in at every opportunity, and this episode demonstrates this repeatedly. The Donna vs Harvey vs Louis scene in particular was ridiculous. They're all made to bicker with one another even though those characters wouldn't normally over something so petty. These unnatural conflicts have been manufactured in an attempt to keep us interested, because the bravado of the storytelling isn't up to par. And we know how pointless this filler-conflict is because by the end of the episode everything's back to normal and the silly disputes are long forgotten about.

Suits didn't used to need to manufacture these pointless conflicts, because it had a solid season-to-season storyline which was always building in the background. This season (and last season, arguably) has been a completely mish-mash so far.

I really hope the rest of the season improves, but I doubt it will. It's a shame that what was once a 10/10 show (seasons 1-4, perhaps beyond) has become one which I roll my eyes at nearly every other scene due to the poor writing.

I love Suits, I love these characters, and I love the cast. It's such a shame to see them having to run with these mediocre scripts.

Wheres the grown ups

Watching this episode Donna has problems and Harvey's part of it but he doesn't understand why. Neither do I, how old are you? Everyone seem to be so unhappy. 'You should have told me before. ' but hun I just got the summons 5 seconds ago, you should have pre emptied it. Now I must withdraw and think about life.

Bring back the Black Goo from STNG

Tasha Yar needs to die. That's right Denise Crosby's character brings nothing to this season but unnecessary discord. Louis v Donna v Harvey the entire cast is at each other's throat for no real reason other than the underlying animosity that her character brings. All that pain for no real gain.

Donna becoming intolerable
akiarora24 November 2020
It's about time the season ends. Not only have I started to hate two of my favorite characters, one of them has even become intolerable. Donna's habit of sticking her nose into everyone's live, is just something I can't stand. I have to fast forward. And then there's Harvey, he's not living upto his stature and power anymore. Not the SUITS I've been watching

Just a bunch of little kids

Warning: Spoilers
One would think that at some point in this season, someone would come to their senses and say "hey, let's just suck it up for a couple of weeks and be at our best behaviour until Faye sees no more reason to be here", but NO! They just keep running around in their old ways trying to futz their way out of any situation. It's truly disappointing that the writers and directors of this otherwise wonderful series thinks so little of their audience that making the cast behaving like a bunch of spoiled brats who keep chucking their toys out of the pram, would actually be believable. I think this was painful to watch. Also, they missed the opportunity to restore the firm to its former glory with some dazzling legalese scenes and baffling brilliance. Shame.
