You Will Either Love It, or Hate It ......
5 January 2003
I found this to be quite enjoyable, some very funny moments, which had me in side splitting laughter, others which overdid the point....

I think that if Sean Connery or Roger Moore had played the part of Austin Powers' father, it would have made the farce even funnier....

Plenty of action, a genuine attempt at a follow-up to the original

Without a doubt one of the easiest films to sit back and forget about the outside world. Two hours of kicking back and just enjoying what was on the screen. The biggest disappointment was the digital work of the Scorpion King at the end of the movie, he would seem more at home in a totally digital movie, but apart from that no complaints.

Fast,Action Filled

Very briefly. This movie really surprised me. It has a very good story line, action aplenty, two of the best 'car chase sequences', I have seen in a movie. The basic premise of the movie is how political changes impact on a group of men, who were previously enemies, but now there are blurring of the allegiances, with 'money' as the allegiance not the previous 'master', thus the title of the movie. For a change Robert de Niro is less 'intense', which is a big plus in this movie. See the video yourself, it is well worth it.

Crap, Crap, Crap

Without a doubt the biggest waste of two hours and admission price I have spent in the past year. I could go down to my local beach to see this sort of drivle. The story was 'flaky', the acting was pathetic and anything else to say would be a waste of my energy.

Visually stunning, candy for the eye.

Possibly the most breath-taking visuals I have seen in a movie released in the past 2 years. The colouring, sharpness and vibrancy, each created, to me, something special.

The movie in parts reminded me of, 'The Matrix', 'parts of '2001, A Space Odyssey', and 'Altered States' whilst at other times it reminds me of a 'B' grade movie from the 60's.

The actors do not particularly inspire, but do a 'solid' job, and the storyline is pretty average, except for the parts where the psychologist is 'getting into the psycho's mind'.

8/10 for the Concept and Cinematography, 6/10 for the rest.
