The Rockford Files: Dirty Money, Black Light (1977)
Season 3, Episode 22
An excellent Rockford Files episode.
4 March 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I can't wait till they release the remaining seasons of Rockford Files ....They released season one recently....................................1977 is probably a pinnacle year for Rockford Files...It was dominating the ratings each week and won Emmys.....Dirty Money,Black Light is one of my personal favorite episodes. .....Lots of twists and turns,Ooodles of the wry witted one-liners...this episode is like a black comedy. ....It's an episode that you can't miss one minute of or you might get confused...................................a crooked land development company,a hot-headed loan shark and his goons, and pushy FBI agents intertwine as a result of a mistaken mailing of thousands of dollars in cash sent to Jim's dad,Rocky...................................Stuart Margolin who plays Rockford's sneaky buddy,Angel... directed this awesome episode....... Roger E. Mosley from Magnum P.I. fame plays "Electric Larry" the loan shark who I think steals the show in this one with his meanness and his hilarious one-liners.......Definitely an episode that makes the Rockford Files a one-of-a-kind TV series that can combine action, suspense,a thick plot and humor.

Rocky V (1990)
5/10
Back to the neighborhood
11 March 2005
Warning: Spoilers
Rocky and family end up broke because the stupid brother-in-law Paulie gave power-of -attorney to crooked accountants while Rocky and Adrienne were in Russia.....They end up back in the same old neighborhood....pet shop and all. Rocky is retired because it's discovered he has brain damage.....so he trains a an up-and coming fighter from Oklahoma named Tommy Gunn...Things are going well until a shady promoter (in the Don King mode) lures him away with money, cars, limos and a red-headed, big-breasted bimbo ......A big promoted fight takes place and the media deem the fight as a 'joke' saying Gunn's opponent was not worthy as a legit contender...and the reporters have a field day........This time Tommy turns on Rocky walking into the bar and calling him out to fight......Paulie goes "brain dead" saying to Tommy "you're a piece of dirt" "get out before I smash you" pushes Tommy......Tommy,not scared and why would he be,punches Paulie in the mouth knocking him on the floor with probably a few teeth.....Rocky come to defend..............First of all...the character of Paulie is completely devoid of 'common sense'......Did he actually think he was going to intimidate Tommy?! A regular guy against a boxer! Real smart Paulie.......you got what you deserved! Regular guys who are not trained boxers or blackbelts in martial arts CANNOT win against a boxer ....A boxer's hands are legally considered "deadly weapons".....but yet Paulie "don't sweat" them.

The Simple Life (2003–2007)
Rich spoiled brats...with NO CLASS
11 December 2003
That's right NO CLASS! ...Nicole retorts to a few friends of the family " So do you guys like hang out at Wal-Mart?" ......is that not rude or what. Paris says "What is Wal-Mart? Do they sell like wall stuff or something?" (giggles). Buy some brains Paris, and maybe a little tact. ......You would think that Paris had some charm school behind her. She's totally rude and obnoxious. Paris and Nicole are very immature as well...They act like 14 year old little brats with attitudes..almost like "stoner chicks" but better dressed...not debutants. It just goes to show you can have all the money in the world..but you can't you buy class and they have NONE!!! OK maybe they never had to work hard physically but the whining and lack of effort is really not what I call entertaining. Shame on their parents for not bringing them up to be "ladylike".... Most millionaires and billionaires are expected to bring up their daughters to be sophisticated, charming, gracious and reserved....not spoiled, rude, trashy 'valley-girl' types. But hey it's a free country and if rich people want to bring up their kids like that...then so be it...WAY TO GO...morons!

Very Funny!
1 September 2001
The thing that makes this Sylvester & Junior cartoon so funny is the mean-spirited,hillbilly lady that takes Junior in but makes it clear that Sylvester is NOT welcome. Hitting him with brooms, throwing him out the window,(I guess she didn't like his cat food commercial imitation.) and pounding him on the head after his mouse infestation plan backfires(after she pounds him in the head,it made a funny sound.....was that a guitar?).....Her singing of "Home on the Range" is hilarious. ...Is she supposed to be like a Marjorie Main or something.

4.5 rating of 10?? I don't think so...try 9 at least
1 September 2001
This one is hilarious! ...Especially Ralph ....."dont steam me,alligators..don't steam me I said! "Where did he go,where did he go" (Ralph mocking Norton sarcastically) then bellows..."HOW DO I KNOW WHERE HE WENT!!" Ralph losing his temper in this one is actully funnier than Jackie Gleason himself.

Goodfellas (1990)
The best Scorcese-almost too good.
6 July 1999
Almost too good? I'll explain why. GoodFellas had a big impact on the movie fans and film industry. To the point where any picture you see with DeNiro,Pesci,or Liotta you look for GoodFellas in it. DeNiro can play anybody or any thing. Pesci can't! No matter how hard he tries to do something different. Jimmy Hollywood,With Honors-Yeah right! Don't work that way,Joe! It's a no-win situation! He does something different-he's unconvincing. He plays something similar to Tommy DeVito in GoodFellas-it will be obvious and no where near as good. It's almost like he used up all the good one-liners in GoodFellas. Liotta can try to to something different, but he'll always be remembered as Henry Hill. There were a lot of GoodFellas/Scorcese wannabes after GoodFellas was made. Like Quentin Tarantino(who I can't stand). GoodFellas was great! It's too bad that a lot of directors and screenwriters can't think of something original. Too many copycats after GoodFellas. That's why it was too good!

Mediocre
25 May 1999
Dazed and Confused has its good and bad moments. Realistic? Sometimes. The good parts were the props, clothes, hairstyles and music. Loved the music! The bad parts were the hazing of the freshmen. They did it to excess. Besides,if these high school kids were considered the "cool" kids they wouldn't even bother wasting there time hazing the younger kids, they would just hang out with their own friends and go do whatever they normally do. Plus that one kid with the hat got on my nerves to the point where I almost wanted to kick in the TV screen,I liked when that other kid in the car finally called him a dork. If those kids(the"cool"ones) went to my high school,me and my friends would have tormented those chuckleheads. They would be considered the retards of the school. This movie is typical teenage stuff.

Vintage B-movie classic!
7 April 1999
The last time I saw this movie was in 1991 on USA "Up All Night" and I haven't seen it since. I first saw it in 1983 on cable when I was 12 years old,I had to sneak downstairs in the middle of the night to watch it,because it was a "dirty movie". Those were the days. It may be cheesy as hell, but I like it. I noticed that Colleen Camp is in this, and no, there are no nude shots of her. One thing I've wondered about this is what type of movie this is: Comedy? Drama? Action? I think it's all three. I miss this movie and I wish it was available on VHS. I see SWITCHBLADE SISTERS is! Why isn't this one?! SWINGING CHEERLEADERS is way better than SWITCHBLADE SISTERS!

Best of the "Confessions" series
1 March 1999
I saw this 1975 British comedy classic the first time in 1982 on cable. I loved it. I've seen all the "Confessions" and this one I think is the best. I see that it is no longer available as well as the others. That is too bad. I searched high and low to get it on VHS and I finally got it. Simple story of Timmy Lea, an accident-proned blunderer and his brother-in law Sid Nogget a get-rich-quick schemer decide to manage a local pop band and try to get them off the ground. Of course Timmy runs in to his share of promiscuous women in the process. Very funny British humor.
