Kyon Ki... (2005)

Crap...
15 August 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I did not have any expectations of this movie, and I am very glad I did not anticipate about this movie or contribute financially… the first part of the movie moves very slow and doesn't seem to progress thus there is not much of a plot apart from Salman being thrown into a mental home where so called 'patients' that require special treatments are treated, if possible worse than animals with the occasional electric shocks when they 'misbehave'. As soon as Kareena finds about Salman's ludicrous love story, (Which involves throwing his fiancée in a pool and then leaving her and come back to see her dead)… and in no time at all when he falls down some hill, he is normal again? This is an insult to our intelligence! In contrast to the slow beginning, the ending of the movie was a rushed 'quick fit' and decide to have a 'tragic' ending by Salman being murdered and Kareena being put into the same mental home. The time it took for all this to happen…5 minutes, which in a way was good as I could not endure it any longer so if you are thinking about watching this movie go and watch some paint dry instead. Ps: The one 2 points are dedicated to the average performance by Salman Khan.

Garam Masala (2005)

Hiarious!

These are one of the movies that don't require any brain or thinking, it's a very funny time pass which you forgot in the next hour or so. I was really surprised with John Abraham's acting he usually playing the gangster like character with the emotionless face,so from that to playing the complete opposite and does it successfully,by managing to shine amongst the comic geniuses such as Paresh Rawal and Akshaye Kumar. I was also quite surprised with the Akshaye's 3 girls because there roles don't require much talent but mostly moaning about Akshaye's dissapearence(to the other girls) i was surprised as they managed to establish and actual persona and you could differentiate between them which is a good thing ,also majority of songs are good,it is colourful and fun so on a boring Sunday evening this will sure lighten your mood.

Boring...songs are okay though

I really do not understand why this movie seems to be one of everyone's favourite Indian movie. Shahrukh Khan whom I admire and absolutely love his acting, he was a real disappointment in this movie, I think any other mediocre actor could have took up Shah Rukh's role,Aishwariya once again another talented actress gone to waste! There love story was...well crap i really wanted more from these two, and the whole idea of Sharukh being a violin player...please. As for Amitabh he was OK nothing memorable and to be honest I do not even know who the others were, that is how much impact this movie had on me,and dragged on way to long however some songs were nice...that's it.

Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003)

If kal does come...watch it!
25 December 2006
Due to the rave reviews this film received from family and friends I had eagerly anticipated watching this movie despite knowing Aman (Shah Rukh) was to die in the movie. However after viewing this movie I was severely disappointed, until watching again I realised my initial judgment of this movie was mistaken, Despite Sharuk's acting being magical as the angelic like Aman, Saif and Preity still shined. The timing of the movie is perfect, the photography of New York is breath taking makes you want to move there yourself! The songs were fresh and really fun…and the whole message 'kal Ho Na Ho' was delivered brilliantly. Overall this movie has definite repeat value and just magical. For those who haven't watched it yet, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR…Kal ho Na ho?! PS:1 point taking away because Naina didn't deserve Aman...I did, lol.

3 hours of my life i'll never see again.
19 April 2006
As i have obsessively watched K3G over 20 times i anticipated Hrithik and Kareena's reunion, so i could see them put their on screen magic to use once again, tut tut tut. I honestly believe the actors signed to this film blindfolded, with guns to their heads. WHY... the cartoon Parrot, the scary overacting we see from Hrithik and kareena. Although Abhishek's character was a Complete robotic LOSER, who kept staring at her in his stalker-like-ways, he was a better match for Kareena, but to be honest i couldn't care less how was BURDENED with her at the end. It wasn't boring because you were constantly thrown into confusion, it was hard work watching this film, cringe worthy. The 3 points are for the music, which was good.

'waqt' race against time, more like race out of the cinema doors
19 April 2006
Those 2 points are dedicated the reasonable performance from Akshay Kumar. I know Bollywood films do not really strive to be realistic but PLEASE a Walt Disney production is more realistic than this plot. The father is dying and does what any good parent does...kick his son out the son with his PREGNANT wife. A few things that were too hard to swallow- 1. Priyanka 'cool indoor swimming pool in the bedroom' and to go from that to living hungry in her in-laws garden shed???????? 2. Akshay suddenly got the job as a stunt man, gets bitten by rabified dogs, to then just walk off. This film is an INSulT to our intelligence I really cant believe i contributed financially to the 'people' who made this film by taking my family to see it, we left the cinema with a frown, please do not subject yourself to this mess to watching this take my advice and do not waste your 'waqt'.
