Red Dead Redemption II (2018)
Never wrote a review on IMDb before, but why not write one for read dead redemption 2.
This review is only about the story mode, I am not reviewing online. And this is a non spoiler review.
Red dead redemption 2 is the sequel, or I guess it would be the prequel for 2010's red dead redemption. Red dead redemption 2, in my opinion has improved on everything from red dead redemption 1 and added so much more, just to make it clear I have around 15 hours on red dead 1 and around 130 on red dead 2, so I've played both quite a bit. I started this game in March because I had nothing else to play, and due to the worldwide restrictions I couldn't go out, so after many months of my brother recommending me this game I gave it a shot. At first I thought it was a bit slow paced for me, but I kept going, and then at around an hour in (probably less) I was hooked and played until 4 in the morning. I cannot stress this enough, if you gave up on this game in the first chapter, replay it, because once you get to valentine it gets better. The graphics in this game are unmatched by any other game that has come out, well ever. The story in this game is immersive and engaging, Arthur Morgan is easily rockstars best character ever. I'm glad rockstar decided to go with the one protagonist in rdr2 (red dead redemption 2) instead of the 3 in gta v, with a game like gta it worked because of how the story of gta v was told, but in a game like rdr2 which is much more of a slow burn, there wouldn't be enough time focusing on each character to develop them, speaking of character development, rdr2s character development is amazing, we kept learning more and more about Arthur, and the side characters are amazing as well, John, Dutch, Uncle, Sadie, etc. all are written so well, regardless of your opinions on Micah, he's even written well. The story takes so many unexpected turns. The world is unbelievable, it's huge and there is so much to do in it, the amount of different "biomes" keep for a experience that can never get dull. There is so many little side missions you can do. Now there's too much amazing things in this game to talk about in one review, so the last thing I want to talk about is the attention to detail. This game, along with most of rockstars games is so detailed, a character you meet at the beginning of the game will change the way they interact with you at the end of the game, well maybe gavins friend might be the one exception. This is easily my favourite game of all time, and I've played a good amount of games in my life. And rockstar did not disappoint with this game, I cannot recommend this game enough and I urge you to pick it up, it's one the only games I wouldn't mind spending the full 80$(Canadian) on. I rate this a 10000/10
