The worst pile of crap I've ever seen
17 April 2023
I've watched a handful of Zach's movies and a few of his shows. I loved his character in Reno as well. I saw this on Hulu and thought I'd give it a shot. It was the most repelling thing I've ever seen, it was so bad and left such a terrible taste in my mouth that I I don't know if I'll be able to watch anything else with him in it. His character was boring and his and all the other characters were mopy, uninteresting and have this irritating "pity me" feel. The situations and circumstances were drab, unintelligible, and nothing had any point. I was really disappointed by this show. He can do so much better than this. I don't understand for the life of me why this got a 7.6 on IMDB.

Haunting love story
12 February 2023
This is a beautiful re-telling of an Edgar Allan Poe story. I don't understand why it has such a low rating. Like many of Poe's stories it's a slow build and not your traditional horror, but i feel like it should be recognized as an amazing occult classic. It's a haunting love story and the ending is just as macabre and beautiful just as most of Poes stories are. It's definitely worth a watch if you like classic 70's horrors, but don't expect a repeat of the films you've seen before; remember this is based off Poe's work. It also shows as a nice period piece as well as the struggle of love in that era when your expected to marry the "neighbors son" to benefit the family or to be able to have an opinion and not just serve the family.

Unique drama with sci-fi twists

Surprisingly good! These not well known actors and actresses really deliver. Even the kid child nailed it and was wonderful to see a competent (non whiny) child actress.

Its labeled as a horror, but it really isn't a horror movie, there a a small element of haunting horror. It's unique, thrilling, suspenseful and drama-ful. I was happy to see there was no unnecessary gore as well. It was also really nice to see each and every final conclusion, not just the one with the main character like we see in so many movies and are wondering what happened with everyone else. Loved it, would really like to see what else comes from this writer and director.

A big statement for people - just like you and me.

I feel like you either get it and whole heartedly agree or you just don't get it. Maybe you understand but you don't feel that in your bones. Maybe you ou earn too much $ at your desk job, your role as a mother becomes your identity, you have no sense of self, or you don't know what it's like to work hard.

This movie is for realists, people who don't fall in line with the norm and understand no all of us want the same thing out of life. Some of us see the pointless suffering, the cycles, and no longer want to be a part of it.

I thought this movie was brilliant and bold. I'm so glad it was made.

Oh the charm, suspense, twists, and turns.

I thought it was great. If you like these old suspense classics, this one is worth watching. While it no Hitchcock, it was surprisingly good at keeping my short attention glued to the screen.
