Let me start by saying that nothing affects me in movies with the possible exception when people drink coffee without sugar. So no the disgusting parts did not affect me. What did affect me was that anybody that's lucid and not into heavy drugs enjoyed this. I saw this at my wife's behest and we were unintentionally laughing at the end as to how ridiculous this was. The cinematography and editing were the most inept thing ever witnessed and this must be up there for worst directing. The award winning acting consisted of groaning in pain for most of the movie. If you enjoy closeups of Quaid's pores this is your dream movie. This movie has nothing to say except for people who need serious mental help or stop doing dangerous drugs. I'm astounded that this travesty is highly praised. Cronenberg would be horrified that this was given a green light and the people behind this should be ashamed. Absolute utter trash drivel.
