Poirot: Curtain: Poirot's Last Case (2013)
Season 13, Episode 5

Used to be brilliant, but has been run into the ground, by dope?
23 July 2015
Poirot use to be brilliant. I used to love Poirot. Most recent and latest episodes though feel as if author was on dope and her brain was completely gone, or someone else was writing instead of her. Absurd episodes. This is opinion as if I were Poirot and had to guess what happened to what used to be a brilliant show, but now is completely nonsensical and ran into the ground mush. What is funny that this Review Process is behaving like latest Poirot shows. That is, it demands that I write at least 10 lines. So, I am trying to "water it down", my review, Mon Ami. Just like Poirot was watered-down with nonsensical lines, actions, and other stuff, just to make the show fit into required time length, I presume, Mon Ami.

Blood Dolphins (2010– )

Humans unbounded (exponential) proliferation causes nature and animals to disappear exponentially (into extinction)
18 March 2011
Earth Island Institute's Ric O'Barry, lead activist in the Oscar winning film, "The Cove," and his son Lincoln have one message: save the dolphins. "Blood Dolphins" follows their experience as they travel worldwide to stop dolphin slaughter. ---------------------------------------------------------------- The Vanishing World. We depend on nature and animals to survive. Pollution, eating species into extinction and massacre of environment happens on global scale: sacred and very needed by life on Earth trees are being massacred by human predator. Gold mining, illegal tree cutting, illegal ranching in Amazon already destroyed a lot of sacred trees. Animals' habitat is disappearing with exponential (unbounded) rate. Films: "AMAZON with Bruce Perry", "The End of the Line (2009)". Most vicious predator (human) must learn to stop destroying its own environment. (Aside: the human is most vicious predator because it kills for sports.) While most vicious predator propagates with exponential (unbounded) rate, the nature and animals disappear with exponential rate at the hand of most vicious predator. Most vicious predator must stop unbounded (exponential) reproduction: it leaves no space for healthy environment for most vicious predator and leaves no space for animals. CONSUMPTION is not "cool" anymore. Echo-systems sustain the economies. Economies do not sustain the echo-systems. Bottom-lines and corporations only destroy the nature, environment and animals. In the past, we hoped that our technology would help us to live better lives, but as of today, our technology (better traps, binoculars, nets, better sonars to track our prey, better guns, etc) only leads us to the SIXTH EXTINCTION of all life on the planet, at the hand of the human. If you cannot farm it - do not kill it. If you are religious: "go forth (be fruitful) and multiply" was repealed by Jesus in the new testament just like many such Old Testament "orders/commandments" were repealed by him in new testament (eye for an eye, etc). Even Jesus showed to you that the truths (commandments) must be changed with changing times.

Nature: Prince of the Alps (2008)
Season 26, Episode 13
10/10
Vanishing World
16 March 2011
NATURE reveals a breathtaking view into the world of a red deer calf as he struggles to survive in Prince of the Alps.

From the moment he is born, a red deer calf faces a life-long struggle to survive in his new home — the mountain wilderness of the Austrian Alps. His first six weeks are filled with exploration and discovery of his world, under the watchful eye of his mother. When he is ready, he and his mother journey along age-old migration paths from the forests up to the high mountain meadows, where the beginning of summer brings life and renewal to the slopes. There, they join other red deer mothers and their calves. The stags have already arrived, their antlers covered in tender velvet — and growing quickly.

Featuring panoramic scenes of lush landscapes, Prince of the Alps travels high into the mountains, where chamois and ibex are right at home on the nearly vertical cliffs, marmots emerge late from hibernation, and red deer prove their agility. The little prince enjoys special status in the herd, thanks to his mother's social rank. She leads him to the best feeding places and teaches him about his new surroundings. His first brush with civilization is a herdsman calling out to his cattle. Unlike drivers on the roads, and the hunters and hikers who also invade their world, the herdsman poses no threat to deer in the mountains. The young calf also learns his first lesson about dangerous weather in the mountains, where storms rage and lighting kills.

In September, the mountains echo with the calls of the great red deer stags. During the six weeks or so of the autumn rut, the stags compete for the chance to father next year's calves before the seasons change and winter claims the mountains. Snow, ice, cold, and hunger will also claim their share of the herds before spring returns. Many deer find it hard to feed and finding shelter takes all the energy they have.

Seven months into his life, the little prince is left alone and his chances of survival are slim. But when the sights and sounds of spring once again appear, and the red deer mothers and calves make their way up to the high mountain pastures, a one-year-old red deer calf with tiny antlers sets out with them. He has earned his place as Prince of the Alps. ---------------------------------------------------------- The Vanishing World. We depend on nature and animals to survive. Nature: The Good, the Bad, and the Grizzly (2004)
Season 23, Episode 3
10/10
Humans unbounded (exponential) proliferation causes nature and animals to disappear exponentially (into extinction)
16 March 2011
NATURE's The Good, the Bad, and the Grizzly looks at the grizzly bear's remarkable recovery and examines the controversy behind the conservation success story.

After a decades-long comeback, the grizzly bears of Yellowstone National Park appear to be thriving. Should they now be removed from the protection of the Endangered Species Act? This question has provoked one of the most emotionally charged wildlife controversies in America today.

In the mid-20th century, Yellowstone's grizzlies had been reduced to a relatively small number of bears that had stopped hunting and were living on trash intentionally left by the park's attendants. In 1972, park officials reversed their policy, and the garbage dumps were closed.

Today, after 30 years of protection under the Endangered Species Act, grizzlies have learned to hunt once again, and have made a resounding return, with an estimated 600 thriving in the 17,000 square miles that comprise the Greater Yellowstone area.

With the rising bear population, however, comes conflict, as the grizzlies interact more and more with encroaching humanity — roaming in residential areas, raiding dumpsters, attacking livestock, and unknowingly inspiring tourists to take chances on roads and trails so they can glimpse the great bear.

In short, the success of grizzly restoration has spawned a complex web of social and environmental issues that many disagree upon. While some lawmakers argue that grizzlies should be delisted as an endangered species, others believe this would be a premature maneuver.

Discover the complex issue of grizzly bear management and conservation from ranchers, conservationists, and government officials who share their stories and insights on The Good, the Bad, and the Grizzly. --------------------------------------------------------- World of animals is The Vanishing World. Politics of fishing industry does not care: it simply continues to kill everything into extinction
13 March 2011
I would give this documentary 15 (on the scale from 1 to 10) if I could. The film is a very sad story. Have a lot of tissue when watching this movie. Latest from Wikipedia: "In Delaware, a two-year ban on the harvesting of horseshoe crabs was enacted but struck down by a judge who cited insufficient evidence that the ban would help restore the Red Knot's numbers to justify the potential disruption to the fishing industry." As we can see, the Bottom Line and the "Industry" matters most to politicians, but the extinction does not matter. Very sad. We depend on nature and animals to survive. Pollution, eating species into extinction and massacre of environment happens on global scale: sacred and very needed by life on Earth trees are being massacred by human predator. It is not about gas. It is about exponential propagation of most vicious predator (human)
13 March 2011
The problem of "gas" is only a little part of a larger problem. Consumption is not "cool" anymore. Human predator is multiplying without bounds (exponentially) while nature and animals are disappearing exponentially. Natural resources are very limited. By stopping consumerism and stopping multiplying like rats you will only do yourself (and your children) a favor: you will stabilize YOUR environment. CONSUMPTION is not the answer to very limited world resources. "Alternative fuels" will make things only worse: more exponential growth of most vicious predator (human).

13 March 2011
Season of the Grizzly: The grizzly bear is the spirit of the wilderness. They symbolize wide open spaces, freedom and the independence of the American West. Following the Yellowstone grizzly population through the course of one year, 'Season of the Grizzly' explores the often-tenuous relationship between humans and bears. The preservation of environment has to do with only one thing: preservation of environment and its animals. For the sake of the most vicious predator (human) and his / her children if they are to enjoy life on Earth. Human is most vicious predator because s/he is the only animal that kills for sports (pleasure). If human cannot control the environment and causes nature and animals to go extinct - then human must begin to learn now to preserve environment and animals, because human population is growing exponentially (without bounds) and nature (trees) with its animals are DISAPPEARING: there will be no place left for forest, nature, animals. No place left for Healthy Environment. CONSUMPTION is not "cool" anymore. Stop destroying your own environment you depend on. Stop consuming, eating into extinction everything around you. Live in harmony with environment. Jesus repealed "be fruitful and multiply" in the New Testament just like he repealed many bad "commandments" (such as "eye for an eye", etc). So, stop multiplying like flies so that your children can enjoy the Earth.

Beautiful: it shows the nature. Warning to humanity: if you cannot farm it - do not kill it
12 March 2011
While many viewers found the film beautiful and made them love nature, it also should be a warning to us all if our children to see this disappearing beauty. Here is why.

Wild Pacific: Endless Blue (2009)

Stunning. Astonishing. Magnificent. Facsinating
12 March 2011
Narrator keeps using words "endless", "vast", and one cannot ask himself / herself a question: how can the human predator eat all life in the ocean to extinction which is depicted so well in another masterpiece documentary "The End of the Line (2009)"? The answer is simple, as follows. In the past, we hoped that our technology would help us to live better, but as of today, our technology only leads us to the SIXTH EXTINCTION of all life on the planet, including human, at the hand of the human.

Nature: Kalahari: The Flooded Desert (2003)
Season 22, Episode 3
10/10
Film explores one of the last truly wild and disappearing places on the planet
12 March 2011
The Kalahari Desert in Southern Africa is a world of extremes, its apparent emptiness punctuated by explosions of life. Relentless cycles of dry and wet, scarcity and plenty, dictate which creatures can live here, and which will die. Shot in stunning high definition and 35mm film, and told through the eyes of renowned naturalist, filmmaker and longtime resident, Tim Liversedge, two remarkable films provide a masterful account of the inner workings of one of the last truly wild places on earth.

Kalahari: The Great Thirstland Long spells of sparse rains leave riverbeds dry, and little to eat. Then, as if by magic, swarms and multitudes of birds and insects come to life, great herds of wildebeest and zebra gather, flamingos coming home to breed fill the skies, and bullfrogs arise from years of sleep, when the great rains come to the Kalahari.

Kalahari: The Flooded Desert The Okavango River flows inland through Botswana from mountains in the north, creating a spectacular delta – a permanent wetland in the heart of the desert. It supports a vibrant community of wildlife which would otherwise never call the desert home. But this world of water is no 'safe' oasis. All life here is at the mercy of the delicate balance between the desert and the flood.

Such remaining places with wild animals are rapidly (exponentially, at colossal and monstrous rate) disappearing because the most vicious predator (human) destroys the remaining environment and kills remaining animals with exponential rates while the most vicious predator multiplies with exponential (unbounded) rate.

A Sea Change (2009)

World without fish and without animals is not so far away
12 March 2011
We depend on nature and animals to survive. Pollution, eating species into extinction and massacre of environment happens on global scale: sacred and very needed by life on Earth trees are being massacred by human predator. Gold mining, illegal tree cutting, illegal ranching in Amazon already destroyed a lot of sacred trees. Animals' habitat is disappearing with exponential (unbounded) rate. Film "AMAZON with Bruce Perry" is a good example. "The End of the Line (2009)" completely confirms the findings of "Sea Change". The solution of the problem is that the most vicious predator (human) must learn to stop destroying its own environment. (Aside: the human is most vicious predator because it kills for sports.) While most vicious predator propagates with exponential (unbounded) rate, the nature and animals disappear with exponential rate at the hand of most vicious predator. Film offers mock solutions and distracts from main solution / problem
12 March 2011
The film distracts from main problem and its solution by presenting other mock "issues" / "problems" such as AIDS, terrorism, health issue, hunger, lack of food, etc, etc. Here is the main problem and solution: We depend on nature and animals to survive. While most vicious predator propagates with exponential (unbounded) rate, the nature and animals disappear with exponential rate at the hand of most vicious predator. Most vicious predator must stop unbounded (exponential) reproduction: it leaves no space for healthy environment for most vicious predator and leaves no space for animals. CONSUMPTION is not "cool" anymore. So, most of addressed by film problems can easily be solved if YOU, most vicious predator, stop to propagate like flies. Do not send food to Africa. Send condoms and the Morning-After Pills.

Echo systems sustain economies. Consumption, economies, corporate profits and bottom lines do not sustain echo systems.
11 March 2011
Echo systems sustain economies. Economies, consumption, corporate profits and bottom lines do not sustain echo systems. This documentary examines the battle strategies of citizens, scientists, loggers, environmentalists and First Nations people who are fighting over the liquidation of public forests and, with it, not only a way of life but entire habitats that support all life on this Earth, including human life. We depend on nature and animals to survive. Pollution, eating species into extinction and massacre of environment happens on global scale: sacred and very needed by life on Earth trees are being massacred by human predator. Very bad idea to hunt today. Here is why:

The movie serves a good example of how the world can change in only a few decades. But that's what few decades allow to happen: for human predator to multiply exponentially (at unreasonably colossal rate) and the rest of animals and nature to disappear with exponential rate. Welcome to SIXTH Extinction!
