Christmas in Tahoe (2021)
After reading the user reviews
I felt compelled to mention three reviewers actually had the nerve to mention that Laura Osnes is an "anti-vaxxer". Who cares? That's her decision and her right, yet some people actually have the audacity to judge her? Hypocrisy knows no bounds. Spoiler alert: the vaccine didn't even stop the spread.
As for the film, it is not bad. It is worth a watch. But as others have mentioned, you would never know this was in Lake Tahoe. Odd. Osnes is a very capable actress and entertainer. In fact, she needs better roles. She is talented. But what bothered me the most was it never felt as if anyone took a breath. Too much dialogue, especially at the start. Others also seem to not buy the romance due to the apparent age difference, but I believe that is overblown. The two leads did have chemistry in my humble opinion.
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: Overload (2001)
Funeral director scene
I read the other reviews and could not believe no one touched on the scene with Gesek, our old friend the funeral director. The entire scene is rife with superbly acted dry humor between Grissom and Gesek. Warrick is present and adds to the scene as well. The pacing is perfect and I honestly laughed throughout the scene.
I'll add, and I wouldn't consider this a spoiler, your cue is when you hear the beginnings of Vivaldi's Violin Concerto in F Minor. I won't give it away, just look up the episode and enjoy.
The Rockford Files: So Help Me God (1976)
Nothing tops this
This will be a short review. In my humble opinion, So Help Me God is the single greatest episode of television entertainment ever filmed.
M*A*S*H: Point of View (1978)
Greatest 24 minutes in television history
And that is not embellishment, or hyperbole for that matter. I watched this episode live in 1978 as a six year old and I have seen it no less than fifty times: I still get a lump in my throat at age 46 as the episode concludes. Sheer brilliance in every facet of production is beyond understatement when referencing "Point of View".
The Andy Griffith Show: Fun Girls (1964)
Fun Girls
No matter how many times I see this episode I laugh like it is the first time viewing it. Priceless piece of comedy.
The Andy Griffith Show: Dinner at Eight (1967)
Superb
For the TAGS snobs who believe the color episodes are blasphemous... you may never appreciate the sheer genius of this episode. There is a reason Andy went out number one in the ratings (one of only three shows to end their run number one in the ratings in television history) and this episode in the final season illustrates why: the magic was still there. I won't bore you with a rehashing of the details but the previous poster is wrong... Howard and his mother didn't "forget"... she said "If Andrew thinks we invited him to dinner then we will serve him dinner. Now go!" It was a very funny scene. I will say if you have ever eaten too much spaghetti then this episode will make a ton of sense. Enjoy!
