Probably the most boring SchleFaZ episode.
The movie itself is veeery boring, and when the movie's boring, the moderations get quite boring too.
Crooked House (2017)
Nice Whodunit Mystery
Fun to watch - due to the characters (It was Agatha Christie's favorite novel because of them!), the very classic story (big mansion, many suspects, a family in fight, etc.).
The atmosphere is great, the story is smart and full of plot twists, etc., etc.
I had a splendid time watsching this, though it can partially get a bit boring.
I'd rotally recommend it! 😀
Dr. No (1962)
I really enjoy(ed) this Bond movie. It is a classic among Bond fans and also if you're not a Bond fan, you'll have lots of fun with it.
But don't expect too much action! (except in the ending scene, which is rather short). This is more like a crime/thriller than an action/thriller.
The plot is quite weird and rather harmless (disturbing U. S. rockets, so what?), and also some scenes are weird (nuclear check, I say), but most of the movie is just great - as an agent movie should be!
This is one of the movues I'll never get tired watching.
Some Like It Hot (1959)
Oliver Kalkofe is right - This might be the best comedy ever made!
I admit that I have to change my mind: I just watched this movie and it might be the best comedy ever... Sooooo fun to watch, and I had to laugh put loud many times (this is a sign of quality - I ususally just grin...). Wonderful movie!
Casino Royale (2006)
Best Bond movie? No. Best action movie? Yes!!
I think it's hard to review this as a "typical" Bond movie, because it is just too psychological for that. "Typical" Bond movies are more light-weighted, in my opinion.
But that does not make the movie worse! I would say that this is one of the best action movies ever, because of its coolness, its story, the action, etc. I really like watching it as an action movie/thriller with psychological acts inbetween.
Fun to watch, also after the 1000th time! I totally recommend it. 🙂
Die Feuerzangenbowle (1944)
The perfect comedy doesn't exi-
Oh yes it does.
Or at least this one is a candidate for "the perfect comedy", if this award existed somewhere.
Although it's quite old, I loved watching this movie. There are only few comedies where I don't have to snicker, but I really have to laugh out loud. This is one of them. The movie is easy-to-watch but still has some deepness; I won't talk long, it's just great.
One of the best SchleFaZ episodes
As I said - one of the best SchleFaZ episodes. Not boring, not exaggerated, good moderations, good commentaries during the movie, funny movie - nothing to complain about! :)
The Man from Laramie (1955)
This movie is thrilling when you're lying apathetically in front of the TV with 38°C fever.
I haven't finished the movie, to be honest. Maybe it got thrilling in the end, I don't know, but that wouldn't have made the rest of the movie more thrilling. I think it is meant to be psychological, but it is just too much talking.
The content is a good idea though. Waiting for a remake. Maybe... with Daniel Craig as the good guy?! ;)
A great Daniel Craig Bond movie
I really enjoyed watching this, mainly because it's more like the older Bond movies with Sean Connery. It has very good action, it has humour (which I missed in the movies before), and it has less psychological stuff than Skyfall. It just has more good moments. Fun to watch, for Bond-fans and for those who want to be one.
And Then There Were None (1945)
Christie's best novel (/play) as a great movie
This is one of my favourite Crime Movies!
I read the novel and was really happy - as I said, it's one of Christie's best novels. So I thought, there HAS to be a good movie for it! And my second thought was that it has to be an old movie, since it's an old novel and modern films are just too dark and eerie.
This movie was exactly what I wanted to see. The setting was great, the characters and everything else too. I had a great time watching it.
The only problem is - despite the racism ("Ten little Indians") - in my opinion, that they used the theatre ending and not the novel ending. Personally, I liked the novel ending better since it is more logical. (I will not get more detailed since I don't want to spoiler anything.) Absolute recommendation!
This movie is avavible for free in English on Youtube, by the way.
