Having trouble sleeping?
Fell asleep until it was about 8 minutes left when she started screaming. Wouldn't recommend it to anybody, unless if you're having trouble falling asleep cause it was really boring. Little addition, the animation looks nothing like her, I don't know if it was the point, I wasn't paying attention anyway yeah it looks nothing like her.
Pointless and boring. The animation is sometimes a little cool but it wasn't anything special. None of the character is interesting. The story is boring and uninspiring, the conclusion is forced and the message is really dumb. There's a subtle gay message or whatever, it's not really explicitly told but it's still gross. It does have it's funny moment, but not really that funny, it gave me a chuckle and a smile I'd give you that. Anyway it was a pretty horrible experience.
Lost Highway (1997)
So much fun
Nothing different than any other Lynch's movie, the plot is incoherent, absurd and confusing. But if you stick with it you'll be able to somehow understand. In fact the confusion and the process of understanding the movie is part of the fun and I had a great time.
Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)
better and worst
Starts of really boring and stays boring till the end. Special effects quality is horrible in some scenes, it's comical, like the scene where Thor trying to save the gal from falling down the bridge. The connection between the character doesn't feel genuine and the dialogue still hasn't improved. Though the moral conflict in this movie is so much better than any of the other it's still boring to watch.
The Florida Project (2017)
That was a lot of fun to watch, it was fun, heartwarming but also sad knowing that there are kids out there who live this life and that's all they ever know. Willem Dafoe is amazing as always. Brooklyn Prince is also amazing as Moone, she has relentless energy throughout. My only problem is the ending, It feels unnecessary and doesn't really say anything but maybe I'm missing something.
from ok to atrocious
Actually has a promising start but it fell pretty quickly. Nothing happened in the entire movie, it's full of unfunny comedy filler with occasional story clues. The final act is about 1/3 of the total runtime which is bad considering there's no build up to that. They have this nice concept but can't capitalize on it. Too many plot conveniences, such a lazy writing. The jokes are unfunny. Bloated with CGI and over the top action scene but still manages to make itself uninteresting to watch.
Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
I was enjoying it but quickly I realize it's the same old story all over again, nothing new to see. If you can look past the story it's a pretty decent comedy action flick, probably as much fun as a Marvel movie can be.
Vacation Friends (2021)
It's not even remotely funny, the only time I laugh is when I saw John Cena and I remember the bing chilling meme. There's no build up for the jokes it's all in your face type thing. The characters are one dimensional and have no depth. They don't seem to know where to steer the narrative, after an hour it feels like a completely different movie. There are some pretty obvious product placement, they even dedicated an entire scene near the ending for waffle house.
Hauru no ugoku shiro (2004)
A visual treat
Visually wonderful, such a delight to watch. Though it's a bit of a disappointment, the story is murky and it's a bit difficult to understand what's happening but it never got to the point where I was bored watching it. I've checked out both english and japanese version, and I can confidently say that the japanese voices is more in character. While the story is not all that great it's still a great movie and certainly can be appreciated by its visual wonder.
Summer of 84 (2018)
A kid who knew he was right
Trying so hard to make it look like the 80s, they just couldn't stop playing this hideous 80s beat on almost every scene. As irritating as that may sound the performances are even worse, though some of the dialogue seems strikingly accurate the delivery is not convincing enough. To top it all off you got this abominable final act that'll left you questioning your existence.
The production value has improved since the last movie well of course these garbage made so much money from the fans. Fight choreography has also improved but apart from those two nothing changes, same boring old story about a group of people trying to take over the world and a bunch of heroes who rise to the occasion.
weird and beautiful
That was a weird and intense cinematic experience. A great deal of it comes from the acting well overacting, it may look a bit ugly but overacting is an art in itself, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't and in this case it works really well except in some parts towards the end. The cinematography is exceptional the movie was shot eloquently and it was such a pleasure to see.
As for the story well it's not like there isn't much to it, it actually contains quite a lot, I could even say it contains too much that the idea became absurd. It is so much more than just two people having a direct philosophical argument in a cinematic way. There's really no universal way to describe what the movie is about, it holds different meaning to each individuals, so just watch the movie and draw your own conclusion.
Thor: The Dark World (2013)
Eh not an improvement
Just like its predecessor the movie hold no weights in the story whatsoever, but this time it's even worst because it's all over the place. They decided to just ruin the movie by narrating exactly what the entire thing is about in the opening scene. Just another forgettable Marvel garbage.
How to Be Alone (2019)
Great visuals but not much else, I don't see the point of it all.
Iron Man Three (2013)
There was suppose to be a certain mystery element to the story but I just couldn't care less about it somehow, maybe it was the way the deliver it, anyhow the story is garbage. Watching Robert Downey playing the Tony Stark persona is an absolute torment add Don Cheadle to the mix and you have a perfect torture method.
Free Guy (2021)
Obvious cash grab, these people don't care about gaming culture and whatnot they only wants the money, I'm sure many creative people are involved in the making of this but still. The streamers cameo is probably the worst thing after the story, boring, bland, predictable and uninteresting. The whole game is so unartistic, supposed to be a free world game where crime is everywhere they instead made it look like Candy Crush. I don't recall myself laughing at any of the jokes, they're not cringe they're just not funny. Ryan Reynolds once again being Ryan Reynolds not necessarily a bad thing but I'm kind of fed up with the guy. I do realize that movies like this are made for entertainment, but if by entertainment means making me fall asleep they sure did their job.
A good *horror* movie
It takes a while for the movie to get going, the movie took it's time to build the characters and their situation. I love how each scenes connected to each other, there's no filler whatsoever, so scenes that somehow looks unimportant would matter later on in the story. Anya Taylor-Joy is incredible. This is not your typical horror movie, more like a psychological horror/drama so it might not be for everyone.
House on Haunted Hill (1959)
A dull mystery horror minus the horror, the only horror in this was the acting, pure tripe. I can't believe some people call this campy garbage entertainment, the 1h 15min runtime was an insult to my intelligence.
Only M. Night Shyamalan can turn an interesting idea into an incredibly boring movie. The movie keeps dragging on and on and on and its boring. It took the characters almost an hour to realize there's something going on with time on the beach, I mean come on the kids aged and getting noticeably bigger like 20 minutes ago, how dumb are you. The acting in this movie is awful, it's awkward and feels fabricated, same thing goes for the dialogue it is horribly written and every line felt forced, M. Night really needs a co-writer. This movie probably has one of the laziest character introduction ever, they just set up the kids to go around and ask people their name and occupation, really M. Night can't you come up with something better. I think I was supposed to feel bad for the characters but instead I'm suffering with them, I was in complete agony and I just wanted the movie to end. I'm just scratching the surface with how bad this movie is and the twist in the end really isn't worth your time so don't even bother to watch this movie.
The Incredibles (2004)
On the surface it may look like a goofy movie but trust me it's pretty fun an enjoyable it also critiques some stuff. Being a 2004 movie of course it doesn't have the best animation but it's still holds up to these days.
Sunset Blvd. (1950)
From the opening monologue this movie promised something interesting, and it delivers but it almost turns into an endless wacky drag, luckily the love story saves it from happening. Flawlessly acted by Gloria Swanson, she really nailed the grand delusion. I had the general idea of where the movie was going but I was still really excited to see what will happens next, perfectly constructed story and what a way to end a great drama with a great big metaphor of the killing of Joe Gillis. Joe walking down silently was a metaphor to the once great silent movie and the loud bang from Desmond's gun is the current state of cinema where dialogue rules.
The Avengers (2012)
Straight came out of a factory
This movie further establish that these kinds of movies are more or less the same. There's a bad guy with a plan to destroy the world and there's the overly dramatic good guys who wants to stop it from happening and then there's a long tedious battle with cars getting blown off and buildings getting torn apart.
Nothing impressed me, bland story, one dimensional characters, forced romance and comical dialogue.
Iron Man 2 (2010)
Don Cheadle Don Cheadle Don Cheadle
Yeah this was terrible and you know what else is terrible, Don Cheadle.
Captain Marvel (2019)
Unlikeable characters, unfunny jokes, uninteresting story and a lot of other bad things.
