Watching this was like rewatching all the news clips and particulars involved The Gabby Petito Story. Yes the show takes the story from real life happenings. I don't look at the television ratings to see if this series still rates well. It has become stale. Yeah it's great to be the longest running series on television, but I would rather have better quality content. After seeing Ice Ts video cussing out the police in his real life, it steals away from the "bad attitude good cop"he plays.
Law and Order SVU has had many well played, emotive episodes. I felt emotional hearing the news about Gabby Petito, however watching this episode and seeing the similarities to her story, did not bring up the emotions I would have expected to feel. The storylines on the Wolf Productions shows seem to use the same story with different names and cities. Writing needs to improve if they want these shows to go on.

It is difficult to watch because the southern voice sounds totally fake. Why couldn't the producers hire someone with a genuine southern voice? They could have hired Savannah Chrisley or any of a number of females no longer starring on Southern Charm., or discovered a new star with a southern accent. This is a rehash of shows like Dateline or 20/20.
A true southern voice is attractive and appealing to the ears. It has inflections. The narrator's voice here is droll, sterile, emotionless.
The location scenery is nice so that is an appealing asset of the series, to see the wide open spaces of the southern states.

This might not have been the greatest one but I laughed and smiled through it. There was just this feeling of warmth throughout the scenes with John McIntire and Jeanette Nolan together. Their real life marriage must have been amazing with the banter in their communication exchanges seen here. From the beginning, when Christopher Hale says, "That voice! I know that woman's voice.", and makes those whimsically curios faces, I was cracking up. Later when Chotsie invites Chris into her wagon and he says in a happily curious way, "Why yes." before entering, it just seemed that their real love was emitted through my television. Then all the fist fights Chris Hale got into to defend this woman from his past that he loved, was chivalrous. Call me a hopeful romantic. The play between these two roles was romantic.
