Yuva (2004)
The film is worth the wait of 4 yrs.(every Maniratnam film is....!!)

OK..

lets be frank...

Maniratnam is India's best director its a film about change (or the need) of mindset of youth about politics and certainly it convinces you of the same....

Every good thing needs an inspiration and the first step and who else can do it better than Maniratnam... - the man who taught Indians that candy floss is not what LIFE is.... and who could tell that to a wider audience.....

hell with hypocrites and sales persons of Indian cinema....

We are just happy being with him............

Yah it's refreshing not just by the topic but every frame....

Ravi K C's cinematography to Srikar's editing everything complements the director's control over the film......

How will u stop praising junior Bachan's performance...all though rest did an equally good job... (Only Mani can make Esha do so well)

(Yah the choreography of "Fana" was disappointing - quite....)

The film is worth the wait of 4 yrs.(every Maniratnam film is....!!)

after a long time we get a good indian movie to watch.
7 March 2002
Mitr, which is all about alienation an average woman starts feeling when her daughter and lifemate starts blaming her to be orthodox and a nag; and hardly find time to understand her. It also depicts how one forgets to live her own life for relations and a very positive ending marks states that still we can believe in relations.

It's a film which is so much refreshing for all those who got a heart to empathise and understand problems of others.

The same hands that point out the mistakes being commited doesn't go without touching the deeper core of our soul.

cinematography of the film by fowzia is unbelievably merged with the narration and fellings dealt.

Also the music score by bhavatharini needs special mention which simply complements the visualisation and moods.

If films like this are never being appreciated when can india come out of melooodramas and "got all the crap in this" type of films.

Director Revathy and her crew which consists only woman deserves cheers...(but why this gender division? for ads?)

never miss this movie.

when it comes to cricket indians are fooled most of the times.....
22 February 2002
lagaan.. what's it all about? nothing but some idiotic story line but surely directed fairly well. and this cricket stuff makes u itch when you come out of the theatre ( thank director for late itch..)

And as any other movie that could make it in the box office some irritating love track and bajana and some mother's tears...

oh god save me from such "different ventures"

also plz save indian cinema...
