Kepler's Dream (2016)
Stereotypical "heartwarming" movie
Mom severely ill,divorced dad has no time to take care of his daughter, shuffled over to a grandma she doesnt know! Family has a "bad-sad" history and the person she befriends is blamed with stealing a book!
Girl tries to find the real thief and guess what? At the end the last one who had his hands on the book is Dad,because he wants to pay the hospital bill for his ex-wife !
And tataaaa!!!! Grandma pays the bill! All is good all is fine ! The family is reunited!
A family movie it is,but so predictable and cheap made that I can't find it entertaining! The only thing missing to make it even more "cheesie" is to mention every 10 minutes God,the Bible, bible verses!
It is wishful thinking that a Dad without time for his kid all over sudden changes or a Grandma with a hardened heart turns into a loving and caring person just in a matter of weeks!
Well thats just my two pence!
Breaking Legs (2017)
Not a bad movie
I must say ,it is not the best movie but a entertaining one!! I would not name it a family movie,I see older kids and young teens(around 10-14 years old) as audience,but not so much older viewers! I guess that the bad ratings are coming from older viewers. The dancing scenes are well executed and the music good! The plot, "nice,shy and friendly school kid bullied by evil fellow student" has been done many times now and was "okay'ish" executed and more on a comedy level! The acting from the kids was good from my point of view. I really saw much worse made kids/family movies than this one and thats the reason I gave a 5 star rating!
