I was born and raised in Chicago and I must say I love this series, Kelsey Grammar should get an Emmy for this because his acting is the best I have seen. I was very interested to see how the series would play out, for the most part it is believable, Chicago/Cook County does run/control the State and the mayor has a great deal of power and influence over what happens or doesn't happen throughout the entire state, no Governor will ever get elected without winning Cook County, that is how it has always been. Politics within the city dealing with alderman and ethnic divisions seems common and it is a high crime city with lots of violence so expect that in the show. I seen a reviewer who said "Mayor Daley can't do a thing without the SunTimes writing about it" well, I would say there is plenty that happens behind the scenes that people outside of city hall don't see or know about. It is a BIG, Powerful machine that can do a lot of things, good and bad.

It is a fictional story and it takes a few liberties but that is called entertainment and this show gives you an hour of pure and intense entertainment! I wouldn't be turned off by those who complain about the show not being PC, it isn't PC nor should it be, this is a raw, in your face political drama that doesn't wash it down with to much male/female love story crap, it is telling a much deeper story than that and it is a MUST SEE!

I gave this film four stars and that is only because of Micky Rourke and his great acting, at times his acting was outstanding and you could tell he was giving it his best! Megan Fox fans will love her in this and Bill Murray does a great job playing the mobster in a drama, he was very good. The film was entertaining enough until the end, which I thought was far fetched and just to strange for my taste. It reminded me of the movie "Lovely Bones" at times, but just not as good. Overall Micky fans will like him in here, he plays himself in many ways, I wouldn't call it a waste of time to see the movie but i think only for fans of the stars will really like it.

I just seen this film and was disappointed in it, the story was OK but slow and boring to me, I thought there would be more action scenes then the few that were shown and I simply expected more from such a big budget film, the CGI was excellent and better than others I have seen but I am no CGI fan anyway. The acting was really outstanding, James Franco was good and will be liked by fans of his, but beware this is nothing like the original films if you are comparing the stories. The film sets up where and how it all started with the apes and does nothing else, there was to much about personal stories and feeling sorry for the apes and not enough about anything else. My girlfriend loved it while I thought it was slightly below average, then again I am a huge original Planet of the Apes fan and she is simply a movie goer who loved the CGI apes. So to each their own just don't expect to much until the sequel which I am sure isn't far behind.

I really liked the story though it was cut in parts that would have added to the story about confederate prisoners that rebel against a righteous union officer,Inger Stevens plays the love interest of one of the union officers who would later be chasing the prisoners through the desert towards Mexico. Not a typical 60's western but a well done civil war western that is nothing like the spaghetti westerns that were so popular at the time, the filming is of much better quality and the acting is above what the films had to offer. I thought George Hamilton gave one if not his best performance ever in this film. Inger Stevens looks as beautiful as she had in any film, she really shows how talented she was in her performance, many of the confederate actors were very good though most are unknowns, the story focuses on the confederates throughout most of the film so this is most likely why they cast the best in one group. I gave this film 9 out of 10, I am not comparing it to other movies that are not westerns, I am comparing it to westerns of that time era only, and this is one of the better ones, it is very entertaining with lots of action, but it has very little suspense or anything else really.
