Crank Yankers (2002–2022)
good old fun
14 September 2002
this is probably one of the better american comedic shows to come out for a while. Crank Yankers does a very good job at what it does, which is make crank calls on un-expected employee's of various jobs and positions.

Some times they, as the proverb goes, flog a dead horse.

Well lets face it americans aren't the most subtle of humorist's, but we love them just the same.

Crank Yankers is a show that likes to take the p*** and if that type of humour appeals to you then you should deffinately check it out.

Life Support (2001–2003)
Aussie Humour at its sickest.
9 September 2002
This is australians doing what they do best, taking the mickey out of everyone else. Is anything sacred.... absolutely NOT! "Life Suport" is a show pushing the limits and if you take it to seriously your sure to be offended, but if you take it the way its inteded your in for big belly laughing fun. After just finnished watching the second series I feel that the show has matured well, the charactors have developed well since the last series, with the only change being Alison Barnes taking over as Penne from Abbie Cornish.

So if you like humour thats is away from the norm you will love "Life Support".

hillarious sketch comedy
10 August 2002
I remember watching this on the ABC back when I was a kid. It was Australian sketch comedy at its best (except for the D-Gen of course). The type of show that just when you thought they couldn't take a gag any further they would go the extra mile, but rather than it comming across as 'flogging a dead horse' they were able to pull it off. We still see the dodgey brothers today doing commercials or on other comedy shows and the still get the laughs. I'll never forget 'chunky custard'.

Malcolm in the Middle (2000–2006)
comedy that is at times subtle and others subtle as a sledge hammer.

Now this is a great show, exceptional writing and a fantastic cast to back it up with. You have to have a pretty strange sense of humor to get the most out of this one, but there is still something for everyone.

Ok so some of the antics of the boys tend to be a bit over the top, but take it from me after growing up in a house with three boys I can tell you first hand that that kind of stuff can and does happen. Pretty much anything goes short of getting someone killed, and this show captures that sense of total chaos and mayhem.

The one thing is to make sure your watching whats happening in the sub-plots rather than concentrating on what appears to be the main theme for the episode, as these can provide some of the best laughs.

It can take a bit of time to get a feel for the characters so give it a couple of shows rather than making a snap judgement.
