I first saw this in Eros theatre (South Mumbai) in the mid 90s with a bunch of friends on my dad's recommendation. We didn't enjoy the movie. We all were anticipating an all out action movie a la Van Damme style n got disappointed.
Revisited the uncut version.
The movie has Thomas Ian Griffith who tried very hard to be another Van Damme in the early 90s but failed. He was good with kicks n punches but nowhere close to JCVD. Also the script of this movie is lousy.
The movie has lots of known faces, Lance Henriksen, James Earl Jones, Tony Todd n Burt Young but somehow the movie was not at all action packed or thrilling enuff.
The twist was very predictable n Lance Henriksen's character making uncalled stupid decisions is beyond fathom.
A character asks the hitman who sent you n before he can answer another shooter comes n shoots him. Wow! So original.
We get to see two good chicks naked. These scenes were not shown in the theatre cos nudity is a big taboo in my beloved country.

With lottuva things entering public domain, we are yet to witness a horror movie on Tintin n Mickey Mouse.
This is my first from the Twisted Childhood Universe series. Haven't seen Winnie the Pooh 1 n 2 and Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmare.
This movie failed on many levels.
A lousy sex scene.
Who does thrusting with clothes on?
Of course later on we get to see some juggs.
The kills are not at all inventive, nor memorable n totally non brutal.
I thot only Freddy is able to pierce his hand outta somebody's stomach cos of his blade but here this Popeye guy manages to pierce his hand.
The bad guy is down and once again the same old trope of running away rather than making sure the bad guy is down forever.
The fisherman tells the fellas not to go near the fog but he himself sits fishing all surrounded by the fog.
The spine looked so fake man n that scene is pure bad. They shud have seen the movie The Cottage which has one of the most shocking spine removal scene.
Even Antropophagus has a nasty scene of the fetus removal scene. Predator too has spine removal scene, the latest being Prey in which the Predator removes the spine of a snake.
But the award goes to Adam Green for Hatchet, it has the scariest spine removal scene.
A supernatural being (Popeye) gets breathless. The guy is almost panting in most scenes.
A supernatural maniac is brutally killing people n rather than running away or hiding, a character sits down to tell others a story regarding the origins of the killer as if nobody is chasing them.
Why the character Olive was locked in the basement is beyond me. Also how she survived the fire while being locked is again wtf.

I love horror movies set in marshes, swamps, bogs, bayous n backwaters.
Nothing beats the Louisiana swampland, a marshy wetland shrouded by fog-covered cypress trees, endless thicket of wetland trees, tangled overgrowth and its reptile population of gators and cottonmouth snakes.
My favourites : Southern Comfort, Deliverance, Frankenfish, Venom, Hatchet, Fulci's The Beyond, Black Water part 1 n 2, Rituals 1977, Rogue, Eaten Alive 1976, Storm Warning, etc.
Well this movie is set in a bayou n it's title itself is such but it failed to capture the creepines of the location.
While some scenes are tension filled n the crocs are terrifying, some scenes are pure lol.
I don't kno how the guy survived in the end. His head is almost swallowed by the croc, the croc falls down with the man's body from a big height n he gets only few scratches on the neck.
