Monk (2002–2009)

Intelligence...is everything.

Intelligence...is everything.

This sums up Adrian Monk, played excellently by Tony Shalhoub. The 'defective' detective is paranoid, has OCD and a laugh-out-loud relationship with his assistant. And don't get me started on germs! The plots of each episode are fantastic and the way Monk's mind works is incredible...all great viewing. And it's not the physical comedy that most shows these days have, it's just the way Monk reacts to situations. 'Intellect' laugh-out loud moments at I've heard it be called. Comedy gold!

A special shout-out also has to go to Ted Levine as Captain Leland Stottlemeyer, definitely the surprise cast of the lot. Because although Stottlemeyer and Monk's differences do make them disagree on mostly everything, the friendship between the 2 characters is evident and strong.

Congratulations goes to Tony Shalhoub for making a memorable and amusing TV series. Keep the laughs coming!

Whose Line Is It Anyway? (1998–2007)

Perfection!

Whose Line Is It Anyway? is perfection. No matter what the scene is and no matter the how bad and offtrack it goes, the entire cast put 100 per cent of their creativity into it to make it absolutely hilarious!

A special mention has to go, obviously, to Colin Mochrie (my personal favorite) and Ryan Stiles. They are the best comedy duo I have ever seen. As best friends, they take nothing seriously and never hesitate to insult each other (various bald jokes and big nose quirks are aplenty!) and host Drew Carey. And it's especially hilarious how annoyed Ryan gets with the Hoe Down's - by far the best game ever. Oh, and Colin's impressions also get a shout-out...plainly because he can't do any. But don't worry Colin, we love you still the same!

They brought improv comedy to the mass attention of the world and it's been ablaze ever since.

So massive congratulations and ongoing thank you's go to this remarkably talented cast and for their great effort at making the world a funnier and happier place! BRING BACK WHOSE LINE IS IT ANWAY?!

3rd Rock from the Sun (1996–2001)

Perfection!

3rd Rock From The Sun is perfection...great cast, great story lines and plenty of laughs!

John Lithgow is the obvious highlight; his acting style is excellent and his comic timing is fabulous, but the rest of the cast can't be overshadowed! French Stewart as the dim-witted brother is also a standout. His physical comedy is always a crack up and his relationship with Vicky is great...except for the small liaison with the dreaded Big Giant Head.

The adventures they go through as they learn the human species is hilarious and there is never a dull moment, especially when Dick loses his virginity...comedy gold. And also keep an eye out for Whose Line? attendee Greg Proops.

I, like many, just wish the show kept going for a bit longer. There were many, many more misadventures to be had!
