I love James Bond movies, but this is not the best by a long way. Too much silly comedy (and not funny comedy at that) to be taken seriously.
OK I know James Bond movies are not meant to be dramatic classics, but compared to Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan, Roger Moore tried to ham it up a little bit too much, especially in this movie.
Roger Moore should have continued to act more seriously as he had in "Live and let die" which was a good opening Bond film for him. In fact he would have done better had he continued playing Bond as he did Simon Templar in the Saint TV series.
There are a few good moments and Christopher Lee was a worthy Bond villain.
