ECW One Night Stand (2006 TV Special)
9/10
Incredible PPV
1 June 2011
Warning: Spoilers
ECW One Night Stand 2005 in my eyes is easily one of the greatest PPVs of all time, though One Night Stand 2006 comes very, very close to beating it. The match card was excellent, even if there was a particular match that was not needed.

1; Jerry Lawler vs Tazz - This match (if you can call it a match) was just one to start of the night and get the crowd pumped, Tazz literally wins as soon as the bell rings, enough said. 1/5.

2: Randy Orton - This match was excellent, though Kurt seemed to carry Orton the entire way through, Angle is at his utmost technical you can see him at, he uses his experience in freestyle wrestling to get the upper hand, in the end Kurt wins. Anexcellent way to start the night, I couldn't have wished for any better. 4/5.

3: F.B.I vs Super Crazy and Tajiri - This was close to being my match of the night though, it was otherwise awesome, this was Tajaris first match in America for years and he was incredible, him and Super Crazy formerly had a feud for quite a while back in the old days in ECW, though they make excellent partners in this match, in the end the F.B.I win, by using a double fisherman buster. 4/5.

4. Rey Mysterio (c) vs Sabu for the World Heavyweight Championship - It may sound like I am repeating my self but again this was another consideration for match of the night and was absolutely awesome in every way apart from one major flaw, the match had to be stopped due to Sabu doing a springboard DDT to the outside to Rey through a table! Sabu jackknifed himself which seemed to hurt his neck and Rey also seemed to be seriously concussed, I am not sure if they actually seriously hurt themselves though excellent match apart from the ending. 4/5.

5:Mick Foley, Edge and Lita vs Terry Funk, Tommy Dreamer and Beulah - What can I say? Well all I can say is 'OH MY GOD!', I mean this match was match of the night I cannot describe how awesome it was, certainly the most extreme match WWE may have ever aired. The first half of the match is excellent then when Edge and Mick pull out a board of barb wire it gets serious, they use this barbwire so well, the whole board gets dropped on Tommy then Terry Funk pulls Edges and Micks legs so that it falls on them. The most important part of the match in my opinion is when Mick wraps bard wire round his forearm and rubs it against Terrys head, but a piece of bard wire sticks into Terrys eye and he is screaming in pain of medics come to help him and walk him off, for a while its then a two on one match, but about 5 minutes later the hardcore legend Terry Funk comes back out to the ring with a bandage round his head covered in blood wielding a bard wire 2x4... Incredible. The winners of the match were Edge, Mick Foley and Lita though it really doesn't matter who won it was awesome. At the end Terry and Mick the 2 legends are stuck in barbwire, as Joey Styles says in the match "A picture can say a 1000 words". 5/5 - Match of the night.

6: Balls Mahoney vs Masato Tanaka - This match was basically on the card to try and relive the incredible match at One Night Stand 2005, though it didn't really come close, not much to say really it was a great brawl in and out of the ring. 3.5/5.

7: RVD vs John Cena - This was the long awaited main event. And by hell it was an awesome one, the reaction Cena gets in this match may be, in fact I am confident in saying the worst reaction any one wrestler has ever been give, the crowd have no respect for him as he stands for everything that they don't, they throw his shirt back and chant incredibly funny (yet true) phrases. Anyway, the match itself was excellent in fact it is easy to say that Cena under all the pressure had the best match of his career here, as he used many moves we had never seen him to before and was actually a bit extreme in his own right. The match finishes with Edge spearing Cena through a table by coming from under the ring with a long black coat on and a motorbike helmet (awesome). In the end RVD finally won the belt. 4/5.

OTHER NOTABLE PARTS - At the beginning Paul Heyman the mastermind behind ECW comes out to thank the fans for their devotion, he gets an amazing amount of respect from them.

JBL after the F.B.I vs Super Crazy and Tajiri match comes out to make fun of ECW fans and basically says they are no life scum who sit in their mothers basement masturbating to old ECW clips (Lol). When this was live no one could hear JBL speak as the crowd were chanting so loud for him to go away.

This is where One Night Stand 2006 loses half a mark from me, and its the whole Eugene thing before the WWE championship match, why did they have to do this before such a match? Basically Eugene has written a poem about the ECW wrestlers saying how he wants to go on picnics with them and what not then Sanfdman arrives! The crowd burst into happiness and glee, as Sandman walks to the ring in his typical ECW fashion and stares down Eugene then repeatedly whack him with a kendo stick (thank god) some of the whacks Eugene got where incredibly fierce, especially the ones to the head. This part was to basically a bit of time to shine.

One of the best PPVs of all time
1 April 2011
Warning: Spoilers
I personally see WM 17 as the best PPV of all time though this certainly comes close - if not better.

Every match was solid and had very, very few errors throughout. There incredible matches such as Eddie Guerrero vs Chris Benoit which is always entertaining, a 3 way dance between Super Crazy, Tajiri and Little Guido (Nunzio) this was truly remarkable. There were other matches such as Chris Jericho vs Lance Storm and Rey Mysterio vs Psicosis these were all fantastic.

Though there are 2 matches in which I see as undeniably 2 of the hardest fought matches ever.

Firstly there was the main event of Sandman and Tommy Dreamer vs The Dudley Boyz which is remarkable Bubba Ray gets a cheese grater and rubs it against Dreamers head which results is a massive loss of blood and the the match ends with a classic Dudley moment a flaming table this match was epic.

Though there is one match that was on the mid card in which I see as one of the best matches ever and that was Mike Awesome vs Masato Tanaka, which was just incredible the amount of tables and chairs used are massive and the amount of broken pinfalls is also incredible - this match in my opinion described ECW, as pure devotion.

Overall this was an incredible PPV it is one of very few PPV's in which I can say that every match was basically perfect.

See Spot Run (2001)
6/10
Surprisingly Entertaining and Funny
22 February 2011
As a child I loved watching this movie and regarded it as one of my favourites, though recently I watched it again it was actually a delight to watch, the jokes are quite varied and usually funny, the slapstick style of humour can get a bit dry at times as David Arquettes keeps running into mishaps.

The storyline it self is relatively boring and generic though this does not mean it cant be an enjoyable experience, the humour (especially for a kids movie) is spot on (get it? spot on?... anyway) and surprisingly the acting is not the worst, in my honest opinion it is underrated sometimes due to it's relatively not well known cast.

Definitely a movie I would recommend.

One of the Greatest of all Time
16 December 2010
I have only recently saw this movie and before I seen it, I have to admit I was very sceptical. Though, I was very wrong, this has turned out to be one of my favourites movies of all time.

I was told by many that it was a very scary experience though I personally do not find it that "scary" I find it more creepy than anything, Anthony Perkins performance as Norman Bates is phenomenal the acting he delivers is incredible, every time he spoke I had a chill run down the back of my spine.

The other performances throughout the movie, are great as well not as good as Anthony but still great. The script was also fantastic, and the camera angles were also perfect there were no over the top moments, they were just right. And finally, the soundtrack to this movie was amazing.

Though there are a couple of complaints I have got and one of them is that there is a couple of scenes which were totally pointless and some of the effects were quite, how shall I put it, 'shabby'.

Overall though this is one of my new favourites I would have to give this a 10/10. Though I still do like The Shining just a little bit more.

EuroTrip (2004)

Really quite a good movie
16 December 2010
This is quite a funny, movie though at times it seems to forcefully make us laugh and sometimes it is really predictable though it still a really good movie to sit down and watch on a night in.

The acting at times can be a little, well to put it simply bad, but most of the time it is very entertaining. Not all of the is totally funny though there are some very, very funny parts, not to spoil the movie but there are 3 main parts in which I really laughed hard at.

The script is decent, but of course could have been pulled of better. Overall this is a very enjoyable and (at times) very funny.

I would give it a 6/10.

The Room (2003)

Quite possibly one of the worst movies of the last decade
10 December 2010
Warning: Spoilers
When I first heard of this movie I heard a lot of bad press about it, for example Nostalgia Critics review of the movie in which got taken of his site due to Tommy Wiseau not liking the manner in which it was reviewed.

The movie is a strange whirlwind of bad acting, producing and directing and to be completely honest overall it is bad.

Firstly, Tommy Wiseau is the main figure in this film, which in my opinion is very egotistical simply because he produces, directs and is the main role! This is probably why the movie failed. Tommy delivers an incredibly bad an unemotional performance, the supporting cast are as well nearly just as bad, though this could simply be done to Wiseaus directing and producing.

Next is the repetitive scenes over and over again, for example when we keep seeing Johnnys girlfriend (I forget her name because she was so dull) talking to her mother, this must happen about 5 times throughout the movie, and they keep talking about the same thing! Finally, the randomness sometimes of this movie is terrible, for example we have a scene in which Johnny and his friends go out and play football ALL the time... But it gets worse... There is one scene where they go and play American football in tuxedos FOR NO REASON, this is never explained.

In conclusion this is a very bad experience, Tommy has tried to advertise this movie everywhere, there are even some rumours surrounding where he got the funds for the movies. Also, on some occasions it has been said when it came out Tommy said it was a Black Comedy though recently he has called it a serious drama... tut tut tut... I never liked one whole scene throughout this whole movie, it was badly directed, produced and written, one of the worst movies ever created.

I urge every one not to read a lot of the 8-10 star reviews of this movie it is probably Tommy Wiseau sitting in his rented flat at 2am in the morning telling everyone about his 'amazing' creation.

A Great History lesson of Horror Movies through the Decades
8 November 2010
I don't know why so many people have such a problem with this TV show as it was fantastic, it personally taught me an in depth history of Horror, and gave me a whole new outlook on movies I now see.

People who say he is a snob and whatever probably just don't like his taste in movies. It was a shame this was originally aired on BBC 4, and it deserved to be moved to BBC 1 or 2 around Halloween.

The only problem I had was that he should have done 2 more episodes, one of the horror movies of the 80's and early 90's and a final episode on horror movies of the mid 90's up until today.

In conclusion this is a highly underrated and wonderful TV show and I would give it 9/10.
