Redline (2007)
1/10
Most horrible movie ever made
17 April 2007
Apparently Hollywood is just handing out money to anyone with a camera and the ability to speak. This movie was mind numbingly bad. The casting was terrible, the acting unspeakable, and the story filled with holes. Script? who needs script? I was surprised that the movie wasn't as verbally vulgar as I thought it would be, however I got enough shots of T&A to last me a lifetime. The movie was like listening to a 19 year old street racer with ADD (who decided to buy a car instead of go to college) tell a story. Being so poorly scripted, I thought the two brothers in the film were lovers at first. The scenes at the racetrack, along with the main female actor in the film kept making me think of Herbie: Fully Loaded. This is the kind of film is what Grindhouse modeled itself after...only the writers thought they were being serious.

Silent Hill (2006)
10/10
Amazingly Emotional
22 April 2006
This movie was amazing. Beginning to end it had me drawn in. This movie breaks the rules and thinks outside the box...and gets away with it. Maybe not a blockbuster, but definitely a cult classic :D To other reviewers: Please, do a little research before you cut the movie off at the knees. 1st off they're not Christian fanatics, they're another cult. Secondly, not everything is movies are based on real things. Certain things can be completely fictional. The movie was made to have that dream/nightmare feel. It was an amazing movie if you actually paid attention to it, and I'm sorry if your feeble mind cannot comprehend what is going on. As for the part where they tell you the back-story, it had nothing to do with anyone not knowing what was going on. Konami as well as Sony loved it so much they didn't cut anything. That is why the movie is so long. Not to mention this is a European FILM!!!! Japanese horror, European writers and actors with few Americans (yeah some of the actors were but they don't write the film). The movie is supposed to make you sit back and go "what the ****??" when things randomly happen...that's what Silent Hill is all about. This isn't your run-of-the-mill horror "horny teen" slasher film (which unfortunately is what's most popular in America). If you can, go to a matinée where you can watch it without all of the people who think they're in MST3k and all of the people who feel the need to talk to the screen. The story is deep, really deep. The ending is tragic. And if you still don't get it, it doesn't mean the movie sucked...it just means you don't get it.

X-Men (2000)
10/10
The most realistic fantasy
28 March 2003
X-Men is by far my favorite movie. I myself, was never a big X-Men fan. I knew a few facts, but I never really watched the show or read the comics. Bryan Singer has done an excellent job with mixing the comic book world with our world, making it near believable. Keep in mind that this movie was not solely made for the X-Men/Comic Book fanatic, but also for the general public such as myself. However, there are people out there who will be pissy and nit-pick at every little detail. X-Men has also evolved over the years, so they can't complain that every little thing isn't consistant. This is just another link in the X-Men's evolution. The actors picked for the parts were amazing. Who could have been a better cast? You couldn't picture any other actors playing these parts. The movie was excelent, I have watched it again and again and I have only spotted one flaw. I am VERY anxious to see the second one. This movie is a must-see for anyone.
