This was the best of David Spade??
I dread therefore to think what would have constituted the worst.
This is a dire collection, I didn't find a single sketch here that I found funny, and it wasn't for the want of trying. Some don't even have proper endings, they just fade away, either due to bad editing, or just lazy writing.
Spade can be funny. He can also be incredibly smug and annoying. This DVD is a good showcase for the latter, and whoever signed off on this as being his 'best' deserves a call from his agent.
SNL is hit and miss at the best of times, but this was a total miss from start to finish.

Rubbish.
Overhyped, unfunny rubbish.
This is BBC comedy in a nutshell. A show gets a small but loyal following, the BBC latch onto a potential hit, and then ram it very hard and very frequently down our throats until we get bored to tears of it.
I can't say very much that's positive about this show other than it's cleverly done, but about as deep as a puddle.
The BBC would have us believe that this is destined to go on to be one of the best comedies ever, up there with the best of their back catalogue.
It simply will not. It makes 'Gavin and Stacey' look like a master class, and that's saying something.
