WCW Fall Brawl (1994)
I liked it!
Live from Ronaoke, VI
Your commentators are Tony Schiavone & Bobby Heenan
"Lord" Steven Regal (C) Vs Johnny B. Badd
Johnny B wins the title after a backslide. Kind of an anti-climatic way to end it...but it was effective at the same time. Too many rest holds at first, but it turned into a pretty solid opener. Crowd popped huge for the title change.
Loser Leaves WCW Match
Cactus Jack Vs Kevin Sullivan
Sullivan wins. Fun and energetic while it lasted. Can't complain too much
United States Title
"Stunning" Steve Austin Vs "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan
Steamboat is forced to relinquish the United States Title due to injury (He would end up retiring and being fired by Eric Bischoff) Steve Austin becomes the NEW United States Champion. However, he's not out of the woods yet. He must defend it against Jim Duggan makes his WCW debut to replace Steamboat. Duggan wins the title in like 10 seconds with a simple splash. This was a joke. Eric Bischoff wasn't the brightest in some places. Duggan was a buddy of Hogan's, so Austin had to get squashed. Still angers me to this day
Tag Team Titles
Stars & Stripes (Marcus Bagwell & The Patriot) Vs Pretty Wonderful (C) (Paul Orndorff & Paul Roma)
Pretty Wonderful wins. This was LONG and downright boring at times. I had trouble paying attention at certain points.
Triangle Match (Number 1 Contender's Match)
Sting Vs Vader Vs The Guardian Angel
It goes to two overtimes but Vader wins. This was overbooked and a tad too long...but absolutely exhilarating for the most part. Incredible stuff with Vader and Sting. Those two have immaculate chemistry
Hulk Hogan appears Via satellite to a loud chorus of boos. He's working out. He talks with Ric Flair on the phone and they argue over who is the real world champion. It ends with Hogan promising to put his career on the line and he goads Ric Flair into facing him one last time. This was a god-awful segment that not even Hogan and Flair could save. If neither Hogan or Flair can save it, you know its bad.
Nick Bockwinkel says Hulk Hogan will defend the WCW Title in a Steel Cage match against Ric Flair at Halloween Havoc.
The Nasty Boys, Dusty Rhodes & Dustin Rhodes Vs Arn Anderson, Bunkhouse Buck, Terry Funk & Col. Parker
The faces win. Even though it was obvious that Col. Parker would be the one to submit, I thought it was fun. It had some pretty creative stuff in here, especially from Dustin Rhodes and Arn Anderson. Crowd went bat sh**** for Dusty Rhodes.
I had fun with this PPV and it was way better than expected. Aside from the nonsense with Austin and Duggan, the mess with Hogan and Flair, I didn't truly hate anything. The 4 rating is very unfair in my book.
WWE Monday Night RAW: Casket? (1994)
Taped from Richmond, VA
Your commentators are Vince McMahon & Crush
Owen Hart Vs Terry Austin
Bret Hart is in Owen's corner. Owen wins easily. Bret says he hopes 123 Kid and Marty Jannetty beat The Quebecers at MSG to stay champions, but Owen would rather face The Quebecers.
Tatanka Vs George South
Tatanka wins and I was busy focusing on other things. Man...I don't miss squash matches.
We get a video package of Alundra Blayze.
Vince McMahon interviews Yokozuna. Paul Bearer interrupts, rolling out a casket. Mr. Fuji orders Yokozuna to squash the casket. Undertaker pops up and scares Yokozuna away.
Diesel destroys a jobber.
The Qubecers win the Tag Tea Titles back at Madison Square Garden in nefarious fashion.
Todd Pettengill gives us a Royal Rumble report.
"Macho Man" Randy Savage Vs I.R.S
The match ends in a DQ after Crush gets involved. Major contenders for the Royal Rumble, such as Diesel, Shawn Michaels, Lex Luger, etc, all get into a wild brawl to end the show.
Average show. Nothing more, nothing less.
Halloween Havoc (1990)
Thumbs up from yours truly
Live from Chicago, IL
Your commentators are Jim Ross & Paul E. Dangerously
"Wildfire" Tommy Rich & Ricky Morton Vs The Midnight Express
Rich and Morton win after a screwy finish. This is such an underrated opener. Truly one of those gems that everybody needs to see.
Sting talks with Jim Ross. The Black Scorpion pulls some hokey black magic trick on Sting with a little girl from the crowd to play mind games.
The Renegade Warriors (Chris & Mark Youngblood) Vs The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael Hayes & Jimmy Garvin)
The Freebirds win. Awful match that felt like it went on forever. The Freebirds were heels but beloved by the crowd.
The Four Horsemen talk about getting all the gold tonight.
United States Tag Team Titles
The Steiner Brothers (C) Vs The Nasty Boys
The Steiner's win. Another damn good tag team match. It got the sour taste out of my mouth from the Freebirds/Renegades match.
Tag Team Titles
Doom (Ron Simmons & Butch Reed) (C) Vs Ric Flair & Arn Anderson
It ends in a double countout. Solid...but also inconsistent. The crowd seemed to favour Doom...even though both teams were heels.
United States Title
Lex Luger (C) Vs Stan "The Lariat" Hansen
Hansen wins the title with help from Danny Spivey. Pretty average match and somewhat dull at times.
World Heavyweight Title
Sting (C) Vs Sid Vicious
Sid Vicious pins Sting to become the new champion! Oh wait... The real Sting was all tied up by a fake Sting and The Four Horsemen. The real Sting gives Sid a Stinger Splash and an inside cradle to stay champion.
Confused yet? Decent main event...terrible ending. WCW really had some head scratchers.
The PPV is above average. There are a couple of fantastic tag team matches and only one match is truly terrible.
It's definitely worth a look
WCW Monday Nitro: Episode #4.6 (1998)
Extremely mediocre for the most part
Saturn Vs Kenny Kaos
Saturn wins with the Death Valley Driver. Not too shabby of a match!
Scott Steiner cuts a lame promo about his match with Rick Steiner at Halloween Havoc.
The Latino World Order (El Dandy, Psychosis, Hector Garza & Damian) Vs Lizmark Jr., La Parka & Chavo Guerro Jr. & Ciclope LWO wins after La Parka turns on his own teemates. La Parka joins the nWo. Eddie Guerrero says Eric Bischoff can kiss his ass.
Another video package...this time for the match between Bret Hart and Sting at Halloween Havoc.
Kanyon Vs Scott Putski
Kanyon wins with The Flatliner. Meh
We get a Hollywood Hogan Vs The Warrior Video Package for Halloween Havoc.
Scott Steiner calls out the Minnesota Vikings...but he gets Rick Steiner instead. He chllenges Scott Steiner to a match.
Scott Steiner Vs Rick Steiner
Steiner tries to cheat and win...but Buff Bagwell makes the save.
The British Bulldog Vs Fit Finlay
Finlay wins, thanks to Alex Wright. Finlay clocks him one for the hell of it because he loves to fight.
Chris Jericho and Ralphus are out. Jerichi is wearing his Jericho 3 Greenberg 0 shirt. He's frustrated because he's 3 and o against Goldberg and it's not recognized. He challenges Goldberg to another match. He taunts DDP and DDP interrupts. DDP calls him "jerkicho" Haha. DDP issues a challenge to Chris Jericho later tonight. Awesome!
Scott Hall is at a bar, getting drunk.
Tokyo Magnum Vs Wrath
Wrath sqaushes him. Wrath is pretty over.
Disco Inferno and Alex Wright Vs Silver King and Super Calo
Arn Anderson, Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko are out. I guess, Benoit and Malenko are taking their places. Eric Bischoff interrupts. Beniot and Malenko win easily.
Chris Jericho Vs Diamond Dallas Page
The match ends in a no-contest once Goldberg interferes. Goldberg spears Jericho and then DDP gives him a Diamond Cutter. Fun, while it lasted. The Goldberg and DDP was buildup for their match at Halloween Havoc.
Kidman (C) Vs Rey Mysterio
The match ends in a time-limit draw. This was extremely disappointing. Felt like it went on forever. The crowd was bored as evident when the Minnesota crowd chanted "Green Bay sucks"
The Mayor of Minnesota is out. She gets loud Boos. She brings out Kirby Puckett from the Minnesota Twins and John Randall from the Minnesota Vikings. Ric Flair is out as well. Probably so he could boast he got a bigger pop than two Minnesota athletes, knowing his ego. She declares it Ric Flair day. Whatever. Bischoff interrupts and tries to stop things...but he gets thrown out. He also gets his car towed.
Scott Hall, Stevie Ray & Scott Norton Vs Kevin Nash, Lex Luger & Konnan
Kevin Nash doesn't show for the match because he's drunk backstage. He eventually shows up and laughs his head off. Turns out, Nash isn't drunk and he was fooling everybody. The match ends in no-contest. This was a mess from start to finish. It's stuff like this why WCW went bankrupt.
A video package is shown for The Warrior and Hollywood Hogan
"Hollywood" Hulk Hogan comes out. Horace comes out and reveals he's Hulk Hogan's nephew. He calls out the rest of nWo Black and White. Horace is let into the nWo. Loud boring chants. He ends up beating up Horace Hogan to send a message to The Warrior. Warrior runs out and chases everyone away with a bat. Hogan gets the last laugh by assaulting Warrior. Very lame. They're repeating 1996 all over again.
Bret Hart calls out Sting. He accuses Sting of copying him throughout his career. Sting interrupts.
Sting Vs Bret Hart
Okay...so we're just giving away this match on Free TV 6 days before Halloween Havoc? Wow....
Sting refuses to let go of the Scorpion Deathlock and gets disqualified.
Another awful show this week.
WWF Judgment Day (1998)
"Austin! Screw you, you're fired"
Live from Rosemont, IL (Rosemont
Your commentators are Jim Ross & Jerry Lawler
Al Snow Vs Marc Mero
Jeff Jarrett interrupts. He wants to face Al Snow...but he is denied. Snow wins. Surprisingly above average opener. I didn't expect much.
The Disciples of Apocolaypse (Skull, 8-Ball & Paul Ellering) Vs Legion of Doom (Hawk, Animal & Droz)
Legion of Doom win. Dissension commences after Droz steals the win from Hawk.
Light Heavyweight Title
Taka Michinoku (C) Vs Christian
Christian wins the title. Not pretty at times...but it was definitely solid at times and cool to see one of my all time favorites win the title.
Val Venis Vs Goldust
Venis was already stale at this juncture. Goldust gets a huge pop. Goldust wins with Shattered Dreams (shot to the nuts) Pretty average match with a lot of dull spots.
D'Lo Brown (C) Vs X-Pac
X-Pac wins the title. Pretty good match between these two. They've always had good chemistry together.
Tag Team Titles
The New Age Outlaws (C) Vs The Headbangers
The Headbangers win by DQ after Road Dog uses a boombox on one of them. Really dull match that felt like it went on forever.
Ken Shamrock (C) Vs Mankind
Shamrock wins after Mankind makes himself pass out by putting the Mandible Claw on himself. Yes, you heard that right. Weird match, crowd loved Foley, though.
The Rock Vs Mark Henry
Henry wins with help from D'Lo Brown. Not bad.
The Undertaker Vs Kane (Stone Cold Steve Austin is the special referee. If Austin doesn't raise the winner's hand, he's fired)
Stone Cold screws both of them and counts them both out, declaring himself the winner. Vince McMahon tells Austin he's fired. Austin salutes the crowd with a toast. This was all about the Austin/McMahon storyline. So many childhood memories. Back then, I thought Austin was really gone. It's been done to death ever since...but this is still well done.
I'll give this PPV a thumbs up for the most part. It's not perfect...but it is memorable. It features Christian's wrestling debut in the WWF and a classic ending.
Live from Norfolk, VA
Your commentators are Jim Ross & Bob Caudle
NWA United States Tag Team Titles
The Fantastics (C) Vs "Dr. Death" Steve Williams & Kevin Sullivan
Sullivan and Williams win the titles. This was actually fantastic. Much better opener than I was expecting.
The Original Midnight Express (Dennis Condrey and Randy Rose) (W/Paul E Dangerously) Vs The New Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton & Stan Lane) (W/Jim Cornette)
Eaton and Lane are the babyfaces here. It's so weird seeing Jim Cornette as a babyface. Eaton and Lane win. A little slow in the middle...but everything else was pretty fun.
The Junkyard Dog & Ivan Koloff Vs The Russian Assassins
The Russian Assassins win with a foreign object. It was alright. Not horrible...but not great either. Better than expected, I suppose.
Rick Steiner Vs Mike Rotunda
Kevin Sullivan is stuck in a shark cage. Rick Steiner wins the TV Title. Pretty boring until the ending, which is admittedly a cool moment.
United States Title
Barry Windham (C) Vs Bam Bam Bigelow (W/Sir Oliver Humperdink
Bigelow is the babyface here. Windham wins by countout. Bigelow's booking looked foolish. He had the match won with a slingshot splash...but wanted to go for the diving headbut off the top. The Jeff Hardy syndrome. I've always hated that booking. It makes the babyface look so stupid. Good match
Tag Team Titles
The Road Warriors (C) Vs Sting & Dusty Rhodes
Sting and Dusty win by DQ after Ellering interferes. Really badass match here with four amazing wrestlers. The atmosphere and the action was incredible throughout.
World Heavyweight Title
Ric Flair (C) Vs Lex Luger
If Flair is disqualified, Luger automatically becomes champion. Flair wins by using the ropes and cheating. This was way too long and rather boring. Or maybe it's because I can't stand Luger. Whatever the case is, I didn't care for this main event.
I do enjoy the PPV overall. Lot of good stuff on here
One of the biggest upsets in Raw history
Live from Richmond, VA
Your commentators are Vince McMahon & "Macho Man" Randy Savage
"Macho Man" Randy Savage makes his return to the announcer's table to a huge pop.
Tag Team Titles
The Quebecers (C) Vs Marty Jannetty & The 1-2-3 Kid
Janetty and the Kid score the upset of the century by winning the titles. Fantastic match and an even better result. A great feel good story. The Qubecers got complacent.
Jim Ross gives us his Royal Rumble report.
Ludvig Borga destroys a jobber.
Undertaker Vs Ray Hudson
Taker wins easily. Fun squash with a deadly tombstone
Bam Bam Bigelow Vs Bastion Booger
Bigelow wins with a diving headbutt. Bigelow hilariously botches a slam in this match. That was by far the highlight.
The Qubecers are irate and demand a rematch with the new champions, 1-2-3 Kid and Marty Jannetty
I.R.S cofronts Randy Savage about their match next week. He throws cake in Irwin's face. Haha!
Pretty tolerable show this week with some above average moments
Clash of the Champions XXIII (1993)
Your commentators are Tony Schiavone & Jesse Ventura
"Dirty" Dick Slater Vs Ron Simmons
Simmons wins with a powerslam. OK opener
Marcus Bagwell Vs Lord Steven Regal
Bagwell was a horribly bland babyface here. Average stuff. Regal wins by pulling the trunks during a rollup
Maxx Payne shoots something in Johnny B. Badd's eye so Maxx Payne wins by forfeit. The Z-Man (Tom Zenk) tries to take a crack at fighting Max Payne, fares a bit better....but suffers the same fate.
World Heavyweight Title
Barry Windham (C) Vs 2 Cold Scorpio
Windham wins with a DDT. Scorpio looked like a million bucks. The crowd legitimately thought Scoripo was gonna win on a few occasions. Just a great match that exceeded my expectations.
Vader, Sid Vicious & "Ravishing" Rick Rude Vs Sting, The British Bulldog & Dustin Rhodes
Vader, Vicious and Rude win. This was a really fun six man tag. Non-stop action from start to finish.
Tag Team Titles (2 out of 3 falls)
The Hollywood Blonds (C) Vs Ric Flair & Arn Anderson
The ref throws the whole match out once Barry Windham attacks Ric Flair. Bogus ending to an awesome match. It's one of the greatest tag team matches in WCW history. The finish is beyond stupid, though
This is a great show for the most part. It has some classic matches and it's just a fun show overall. See it if you can
Your commentators are Vince McMahon & Johnny Polo
The Undertaker and Paul Bearer are preparing for Taker's casket match with Yokozuna at the Royal Rumble. Taker says he's made new year's resolutions.
Yokozuna Vs Dan Dubiel
Yokozuna wins with one of the stiffest Banzai drops you'll ever see. Ouch!
Vince McMahon interviews Lex Luger. He promises not to let the fans down if he's allowed entry in the Royal Rumble. Pretty dull interviews
The Smoking Gunns Vs Bam Bam Bigelow & Bastion Booger
The Gunns win by DQ after Bigelow and Booger fight amongst themselves. This was pointless
We get a Royal Rumble report with Todd Pettengill
Jeff Jarrett destroys a jobber and I happily skipped it because I hate Jarrett
"Nothing like a lungful of fresh air, mang. Don't pollute your lungs with tobacco, chico. Smokers are losers" Courtesy of Razor Ramon. I guess bad guys don't smoke?
Shawn Michaels vs Brian Walsh
They tease an upset with Walsh getting a few near falls but Michaels obviously wins.
Meh. Nothing to write home about
WCW Monday Nitro: Episode #4.5 (1998)
Eric Bischoff wants better security when Ric Flair shows up this week.
Wrath Vs Lodi
Wrath wins easily. Wrath was pretty over here. He brawls with Meng after the match
Kendall Windham Vs Dale Torborg
Meh. I skipped it. If you honestly care about this match, more power to you.
Endless recaps. It reminds me that WCW has turned into WCW somewhat.
Sting is out. He calls Bret Hart and Hollywood Hogan out. Ultimate Warrior interrupts. He rambles on incoherently as usual. He's getting a few boos and some audible boring chants. He says he and Sting should face Hogan and Bret Hart later tonight.
Hollywood Hogan, Eric Bischoff and The Giant are out. He does his usual "I made wrestling, I'm god, blah, blah, blah"
Eric Bischoff tries to keep The Four Horsemen out of the building...but they manage to get in.
Fit Finlay Vs Alex Wright
Wright wins by cheating. The British Bulldog and Finlay beat Wright up after the match. Whatever
La Parka, Ciclope, Villano IV Vs Chavo Guerrero, Psychosis & Super Calo
Chavo, Psychosis and Super Calo join the lWo. (Latino World Order)
Scott Steiner turns on Buff Bagwell because Bagwell sticked up for his mother, Judy. Fans were wanting to cheer Buff anyway.
Juventud Guerrera Vs Prince Iaukea
Juvi wins. Disco Inferno causes problems throughout so Billy Kidman comes out and whips his ass.
*3/4 out of 5
Kevin Nash is out for a promo. That can be a bad or a good thing, depending on if he's motivated. He says he's tired of Hall's schtick and he's used to beating up drunks as a former bouncer. Hall comes out drunk. Hall makes corny jokes. Nash chases Hall backstage and follows Hall's limousine with his car. Yawn
Chris Jericho (C) Vs Raven
Jericho wins by submission. Decent little match that I wished got more time.
Mean Gene Okerlund interviews Rick Steiner. Oh lord, Chucky from Child's Play shares some insults with Rick Steiner. Chucky tells Mean Gene to shut up and that gets a good pop. Even Tony Schiavone is dumbfounded
Eric Bischoff tries to pick a fight with the building owner...but he gets thrown out and beat up by security. or Ric Flair throws him out. I've lost track at this stupidity.
World Heavyweight Title
Goldberg (C) Vs The Giant
The Giant has the title won with help from Stevie Ray....but DDP saves Goldberg's bacon and Goldberg wins by countout. This was promoted horribly with even worse commentary
Hollywood Hogan & Bret Hart Vs The Warrior & Sting
Sting and Warrior win by DQ after nWo Black and White get involved. Cool because of all the star power...but it was pretty bad.
Another awful Nitro. WCW was desperate and slowly drowning and WWF was like the shark, waiting to devour it's pray.
WCW Monday Nitro: Episode #4.4 (1998)
It was alright...
Saturn Vs Lizmark Jr.
Saturn wins with the Death Valley Driver. They used Saturn horribly after his epic storyline with Raven.
Kaz Hayashi Vs Ernest Miller
I skipped this because of my hate for Miller. Sony Onoo ditches Hayashi for Miller.
Juventud Guerrera Vs Jerry Flynn
Juvi wins with the Juvi Driver. Not much to write home about here.
Wrath Vs Villano IV
Wrath wins with a huge meltdown. The slam is pretty impressive.
nWo Black and White and nWo Wolfpac get into a huge brawl backstage in the locker room...but I'm long past caring at this point. Sting puts the nWo limousine on a forklift and drops it down below on the concrete. Well, I guess that was pretty cool. Seemed pretty desperate...but that's what I loved about the Monday Night Wars.
Damian Vs Hector Garza
Eddie Guerrero comes out and stirs the pot. He cuts an epic worked shoot about how there are too many politics in WCW and how Hollywood Hogan gets everything. He introduces the Latino World Order and the lWo is born. Classic segment.
nWo Wolfpac is heading into the city to find Scott Hall.
Kidman Vs Psychosis
Kidman retains. Crowd LOVES Kidman. Pretty solid match
Warrior cuts some mumbo-jumbo on Hollywood Hogan. He even references their match at Wrestlemania 6. Scott Steiner cuts a promo on his brother Rick for their match at Halloween Havoc. Yes...that feud is still going on.
Oh lord. Buff Bagwell's mom, Judy Bagwell is out. She lambasted Buff for being arrogant and being with the nWo. After Buff claims he helps pay make sure his Mom lives well, she slaps him. Brian Adams and Scott Steiner ambush Rick. J.J Dillon orders Scott Steiner to the back. This was the beginning of the end for WCW.
Brian Adams Vs Rick Steiner.
Rick gets the surprising clean win. He wins with a top rope bulldog. Meh.
We almost went a whole show with a boring, repetitive, Hollywood Hogan promo. Eric Bischoff is out with him. He calls The Warrior out. I'll be so glad when this feud is over. I hate to have to relive it.
DDP Vs Kanyon
DDP wins by DQ after Kanyon gets involved. Goldberg makes the save and he and DDP have a big staredown. Fun match
The Disciple Vs Lenny Lane
Disciple wins. He gets zero reaction as a face and I don't blame the fans. He says he's done with Hogan. Hogan is having hallucinations and sees Warrior in the mirror. Terrible segment and terrible acting on Hogan's part.
Kevin Nash finds Scott Hall drunk in a bar and brawls with him inside the bar.
Eric Bischoff calls out Ric Flair...but gets Arn Anderson instead. Arn brings out Ric's youngest son, Reid. Reid takes down Bischoff twice. The Four Horsemen end up brawling with nWo Black and White. Epic Segment.
Sting Vs Bret Hart
No match takes place, just a lame brawl backstage. Crowd doesn't like it and feels ripped off.
A bit of a step up. It wasn't great...but it at least had some watchable stuff.
Your commentators are Vince McMahon & The Quebecers
Lex Luger Vs Barry Horrowitz
Luger wins with a superplex. Not bad for a glorified squash match. Crowd was hot for Luger.
Marty Jannetty Vs Johnny Polo
Polo wins with help from Quebecer Pierre. Pretty fun match. Any smart wrestling fan knows Johnny Polo is Raven and he was one hell of a talent. I loved this whole angle.
Doink beats some jobber. I skipped it due to my hate for Doink.
Crush destroys a jobber named Mike Moraldo (SP?)
The Undertaker wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and literally says "Ho...Ho...Ho" It's one of the most awesome things I've ever heard. Bret Hart also gives a "don't drink and drive" message. That was pretty cool too.
Razor Ramon beats up a jobber.
Not too bad this week. It had its moments
Stone Cold attacks Vince McMahon in the hospital!
X-Pac (C) Vs D'Lo Brown
D'Lo wins the title. Pretty decent opening match.
Vince McMahon complains about getting Grape juice in the hospital...when he really wants Apple Juice.
The Headbangers are out and they're randomly heels again. They challenge the Insane Clown Posse
The Headbangers Vs The Insane Clown Posse
The Headbangers destroy them. Just to get outside exposure. That was the only reason this took place
Mick Foley tries to cheer Vince McMahon up...but Vince yells at him to get out.
Lovely. Sable is out now. Oh she's randomly doing commentary.
Vader Vs Marc Mero
Mero pins Vader. What a joke. Nothing against Mero...but Mero shouldn't be pinning Vader. Jacqueline cuts off a chunk of Sable's hair. Yawn. This feud is so old.
Edge Vs Owen Hart
Owen Hart isn't dressed to wrestle. He's in street clothes. Owen wells up with tears and says he's so sorry for breaking Dan Severn's neck. Edge wins by forfeit.
Kane Vs Ken Shamrock
Shamrock pins Kane with a superplex after Undertaker costs Kane the match. It was a pretty boring match until the end. Nothing terribly wrong with it...just not very lively. Pretty sad to see Kane get pinned with a superplex.
Val Venis Vs Gangrel
He says this is the home of the "real" Magic Johnson. Val says he has the real Magic Johnson. Har...har...har. That was so funny, I forgot to laugh. The match ends when Christian and Gangrel start attacking Edge. I LOATHE Val Venis. Goldust invites Val to his world premerie next week.
Al Snow Vs Jeff Jarrett
The Road Dog Vs Mark Henry
Road Dog wins, thanks to X-Pac and Chyna. Meh. It was ok.
Stone Cold shows up at the hospital and beats the crap out of Vince. He literally drills Vince in the head with a bedpan. One of my favorite Austin moments, bar none.
The Rock Vs The Undertaker
Undertaker wins with a tombstone on the chair. Pretty disappointing stuff from these two. I wasn't all that impressed.
Aside from Austin's attack in the hospital, this is pretty mundane stuff. It's worth a watch...but you're not really missing much, aside from Austin's attack.
Andre the Giant's attack is memorable...but everything else is average
Live from Landover, MD
Your commentators are Vince McMahon & Jesse Ventura
We start off with a Hulk Hogan interview and another interview from The Bolsheviks
Tag Team Titles (2 out of 3 falls)
Strike Force (Tito Santana & Rick Martel) (C) Vs The Bolsheviks
Strike Force wins 2 straight falls. Pretty mediocre stuff. Santana and Martel are great...but not even they could carry Nikolai and Boris.
Jake "The Snake" Roberts Vs Sika
Jake wins with a roll-up. He DDT's Mr. Fuji, much to the crowd's delight. Pretty poor match...but the crowd loved Jake and it was a solid win for him.
Hulk Hogan (C) Vs King Kong Bundy
Andre the Giant is in Bundy's corner. Hogan wins cleanly...but Andre gets the last laugh by decimating Hogan. The British Bulldogs, Jake Roberts, Strike Force, Jim Duggan all try to get Andre off...but he fends them all off and no-sells it. Average match...but the aftermath with Andre is amazing and classical.
Greg "The Hammer" Valentine Vs Koko B. Ware
Valentine wins by submission, despite attempted distraction by Brutus Beefcake. Pretty decent match...but not main-event material. Bruti cuts some of Jimmy's hair after.
This was barely above average. Probably, the first real weak SNME yet. Not to say it's bad...just forgettable
WWE Monday Night RAW: Happy Xmas! (1993)
Your commentators are Vince McMahon & Shawn Michaels
Jeff Jarrett Vs P.J. Walker
This is Jarrett's WWF debut. Jarrett wins with a crappy jumping DDT. Jarrett has and always will suck. Overrated as hell.
Should WWF President, Jack Tunney allow Lex Luger in the Royal Rumble? What's your opinion? Does anybody even care? I don't.
Men on a Mission Vs Duane Gil & Jobber
Ludvig Borga Vs Tatanka
Borga gets double teamed by Yokozuna and Borga until Luger makes the save. Average stuff
Adam Bomb Vs Mark Thomas
Bomb wins easily. Yawn.
Watch out! Thurman "Sparky Plug" is coming to the WWF! This was Bob Holly's first lame gimmick in the WWF.
Owen Hart Vs Mike Bell
The Headshrinkers destroy two jobbers.
This was unbearable to watch. One of the worst Raw's of all time and virtually no effort put in what so ever.
"Oh Yeah! Austin got McMahon!"
Live from Detroit, MI
Your commentators are Jim Ross & Jerry Lawler
Vince McMahon comes out to Austin's music and the WWF Title. He says this all could have been avoided if Austin took direction and listened. He says there will be no rematch for Austin. He says a new WWF Champion will be crowned. He takes shot at Austin's smoking belt and asks Austin to show up to congratulate the WWF Champion. He wears Austin's Smoking Skull belt to huge heat. Man, this crowd is hot.
Tag Team Championship
New Age Outlaws (C) Vs Southern Justice
The Outlaws get an incredible pop. Southern Justice wins by DQ after Road Dog uses Jeff Jarrett's guitar on one of them. Billy Gunn flips out on everybody on DX, especially Road Dog, teasing a heel turn.
Dan Severn Vs Owen Hart
Owen tombstones him on his head like Austin and they do an angle where he was legit hurt like Austin and Severn had to be carried out on a stretcher.
Vader comes out with Sgt. Slaughter. I guess he's heel again
Vader Vs Al Snow
Al Snow wins after hitting Vader with head. Man...how far Vader had fallen.
Four Corners Elimination Match (#1 Contender for the European Title)
Edge Vs D'Lo Brown Vs Jeff Jarrett Vs Droz Vs Marc Mero Vs Gangrel
D'Lo pins Edge to get a future title show. Christian makes his Raw debut to distract Edge. Pretty fun match
Vince McMahon comes out to present the WWF Championship to Kane or The Undertaker. It's the old Eagle belt. Austin gets by security with the Zamboni and literally rides into the arena. He jumps off the Zamboni and clotheslines Vince, beating the crap out of him for a few seconds before he's arrested and taken out of the arena. "I ain't through with you Vince, not yet by a long shot" Taker and Kane break Vince's ankle for egging them on. Just an amazing segment. I'll never forget how I felt when I first saw this as a kid. The excitement is unmatched.
Mark Henry Vs Farooq
Chyna is the guest referee. Farooq wins with help from Chyna. Ken Shamrock cuts a heel promo for the first time in his career, signifying a heel turn.
The Headbangers Vs Golga & Kurgan
Kurgan and Golga win with help from The Insane Clown Posee
X-Pac (C) Vs Val Venis
Venis wins by DQ after Chyna and X-Pac beat on Venis and Terri Runnels. Meh
Goldust's music interrupts and hints Goldust is coming back. The crowd popped huge.
The Rock, Mankind & Ken Shamrock Vs Undertaker & Kane
The Rock actually pins Undertaker clean with a Rock Bottom. Fun match, thanks to all the talent involved.
This episode is a classic, plain and simple. Austin's Zamboni can't be duplicated. They've tried...but have unable to do it, everything was just clicking for the WWF at this juncture. You have no excuse not to see this episode
WWF Breakdown: In Your House (1998)
The clock is ticking for the Ol' Rattlesnake
Live from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
Your commentators are Jim Ross & Jerry Lawler
Edge Vs Owen Hart
Both are fellow Canadians so they get big reactions. Owen Hart wins after Christian makes his WWE Television debut to distract Edge. Great opener here.
Too Much (Brian Christopher & Scott Taylor) Vs Al Snow & Scorpio
Snow and Scorpio win. Not boring...but way too long and all over the place.
Marc Mero Vs Darren Drozdov
Mero wins with help from Jacqueline. Crowd was dead for this and I don't blame them. Mediocre match with two talents that weren't going anywhere at this juncture.
Vader Vs Bradshaw (Falls Count Anywhere)
This is Vader's last appearance in the WWF. Completely misused after Summerslam 96.
The Rock Vs Ken Shamrock Vs Mankind (Steel Cage)
The Rock is like god in Hamilton. The reaction he gets is incredible. Any time Mankind or Ken Shamrock hit The Rock, they booed like crazy. They even chanted "Shamrock sucks" The match itself is great. Mankind bumped like a madman jumping off the cage. It would also lead to a Shamrock heel turn.
Dustin Runnels Vs Val Venis
Terri Runnels comes out with Venis. Venis wins. That was painful to watch. Venis is one of the most loathsome characters of all time and extremely overrated
Jeff Jarrett & Southern Justice Vs The New Age Outlaws & X-Pac
The Outlaws and X-Pac win. Meh...this was pretty average. Pac and The Outlaws did their best to liven things up...but Southern Justice and Jarrett are all awful performers
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin (C) Vs Kane Vs The Undertaker
Kane and The Undertaker are prohibited from pinning each other. Stone Cold loses the title when Kane and Undertaker both pin him. Vince steals the title and Austin tries to chase him down. We get the iconic image of Vince in the limo yelling "You don't have it anymore! It's mine! It's mine" Then ends it by giving Austin the middle finger. Match certainly had some lulls...but it is a memorable match from the Attitude Era.
I'd call this PPV above average. It's memorable for a lot of reasons...but forgettable all the same.
What a Summerslam? To an extent......
Live from London, England (Wembley Stadium)
Your commentators are Vince McMahon & Bobby Heenan
The Bushwhackers & Jim Duggan Vs The Mountie & The Nasty Boys
The Bushwhackers and Duggan win. This was a dark match. It was really bad and you're not missing anything if you don't see it.
Tito Santana vs Papa Shango
Papa Shango wins. This wasn't a great one either and also on the pre-show. You're NOT missing anything.
Money INC Vs The Legion of Doom
LOD wins after Animal pins Dibiase with a power slam. A really weak and anti-climatic ending to an average match. Way too many rest holds from Irwin. Hot entrance from LOD, using motocycles is the only really cool thing about this one.
We get an intervirew with Ric Flair and Virgil.
Virgil Vs Nailz
Virgil actually gets a really good pop. Nailz wins with a choke hold. This was AWFUL. Virgil did what he could...but Nailz was just a terrible character.
Shawn Michaels Vs "The Model" Rick Martel
Sherri is in love with both of them and this match will be a no-hitting the face match. Both are mega arrogant heels. The match ends when Sherri faints over them fighting. Sherri ends up feigning it and both Martel and Michaels fight over her. Martel ends up throwing a bucket of water over Sherri to catch her in the act. Crowd loved Martel at the end, so the crowd favoured him. Fun little heel comedy match for sure.
Tag Team Titles
The Natural Disasters (C) Vs The Beverly Brothers
Earthquake and Typhoon had just turned face. The Disasters win. This crowd is amazing. They're even rabid for The Natural Disasters. Crappy match, though.
Repo Man Vs Crush
Crush wins by sumbission. It was alright. Crowd loved Crush.
*1/4 out of 5
Randy Savage (C) Vs Ultimate Warrior
Crowd seems to be a bit more into The Warrior...even though Savage got a big pop as well. Yep. Definitely a pro-Warrior crowd. Crowd is booing Savage after every strike on The Warrior. Warrior wins by countout ater Ric Flair and Mr. Perfect interfere.
The Undertaker Vs Kamala
Undertaker wins by DQ. Kamala splashes Taker 5 times...but Undertaker sits up and stalks him to the back. Slightly fun, thanks to Taker...but not really a great match
"Rowdy" Roddy Piper shows up to play the bagpipes (Scotland: The Brave) before the match.
Bret Hart (C) Vs The British Bulldog
Bulldog wins the title and it's one of the biggest crowd eruptions you'll ever hear. It's one of the greatest matches of all time and I don't think you need me to tell you that.
Not quite as good as you'd think it is. It's really a two match show. The rest of the card isn't all that spectacular. Michaels vs Martel was fun...but nothing too special. It's still a must-see though.
WCW Monday Nitro: Episode #4.2 (1998)
Live from Boston, MA
The Ring fills up with smoke. The Disciple is shown laying unconcious in the middle of the ring. I guess he was held captive by The Warrior. Hollywood Hogan and Eric Bischoff come out. The Warrior is shown with The Disciple up above the rafters and plays some mind games with Hogan.
Barry Darsow Vs Fit Finlay
Finaly wins rather easily with a tombstone piledriver.
Wrath Vs Nick Dinsmore
Dinsmore is Eugene. Wrath destroys him.
Rick Steiner Vs Rick Fuller
He wins easily and says he's beaten up Scott Steiner 9000 times and at Halloween Havoc, it'll be 9000 and 1.
Hollywood Hogan is out AGAIN.... no wonder WCW's ratings were failing. He calls out The Warrior. He's happy to adhere to Hogan. He tells Hogan to follow him. Warrior plays more boring mind games and this just wastes valuable television time.
Villano IV & Villano V Vs Raven & Kanyon
The match is stopped because Raven and Kanyon almost break Villano's neck. He legitimately hurt his neck. Raven and Kanyon break character and show major concern. He's able to walk with help. Scary stuff.
DDP Vs Alex Wright
He says if he wins, he takes DDP's spot against Goldberg at Halloween Havoc. He beats Wright with the Diamond Cutter in like 2 minutes. Just to make DDP look strong against Goldberg. He cuts a typical babyface promo on Goldberg after.
Lenny Lane Vs Ernest "The Cat" Miller
Scott Hall meanders down the ring, completely ineabriated. Dusty Rhodes helps take Hall to the back. Ugh...the match is still going on. Yay! Miller literally wins 5 seconds later after I said that.
Saturn Vs Jerry Flynn
Saturn wins. This went too long. Saturn should have won more convincingly. Match was OK.
Buff Bagwell and Scott Steiner try to destroy Bret Hart's leg until Sting makes the save.
Kidman (C) Vs Disco Inferno
Kidman wins with the shooting star press. Pretty average because of Disco's limited ability.
Konnan Vs Chavo Guerrero Jr.
Konnan wins. This was a chore to watch. Konnan is one of the laziest wrestlers I've ever seen.
Eric Bischoff is out with Miss Elizabeth. He cuts a sleep inducing promo before The Four Horsemen interrupts. Doug Dillenger stops them at first...but lets them through eventually. Bischoff says Dillenger works for him. I'm not gonna spoil everything...but it's one of the best segments in WCW history. I've never been a big Ric Flair fan...but he was incredible on the mic when he wanted to be. He owned Bischoff.
Kevin Nash & Lex Luger Vs Stevie Ray & The Giant
Scott Hall interrupts, drunk as hell. He tries to beat up Nash, but keeps getting fall down. Nash says he's lost his best friend. And says he doesn't know who Scott Hall is anymore. He makes a match with Scott Hall at Halloween Havoc and says he can do that cause WCW doesn't care. This is so bad. No Goldberg...no nothing. Ego's were overriding everything. It's easy to see why WCW went bankrupt.
Hollywood Hogan calls out The Warrior again. The Warrior reveals The Disiciple has joined The Warrior in his crusade against Hogan. Whatever.
This was terrible. The biggest angles were Hogan and Warrior and Hall's alcohol addiction. Watch Flair's epic promo on Bischoff and skip the rest.
The matches make it worthwhile
Live from Sacramento, CA
Your commentators are Jim Cornette & Shane McMahon
The Rock, Ken Shamrock and Mankind are all in the ring with Mr. McMahon. Vince says Austin and a volunteer will face Kane and Undertaker later tonight.
Jeff Jarrett Vs "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn
This crowd is AWFUL. Billy wins with a neckbreaker. Yes...a neckbreaker. Not too bad...even though I'm not a huge fan of either.
**1/2 out of 5
Steve Austin says he's not afraid of the daunting task he has ahead of him at Breakdown. He says he'll whip Kane and Taker's ass and he doesn't care who his partner is tonight. You won't see Austin 3:16...but Austin 666. Fun promo from Austin and the crowd was rabid for him. First time they woke up all night.
The Headbangers Vs Golga & Giant Silva.
The Headbangers destroy Golga and officially turn heel. They were a mildly popular tag team...but going nowhere.
The Undertaker says he or Kane will be WWF Champion and warns Austin to get his arrangements in order because there will be a funeral if he shows up by himself tonight.
Sable Vs Jacqueline
Jacqueline wins the vacant tile after Mero helps Jacqueline. God awful. Women's wrestling has come so far and I'm grateful for that.
The Undertaker & Kane Vs "Stone Cold" Steve Austin & "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn
Undertaker and Kane win after Taker pins Billy Gunn. Not bad. Billy played the face in peril for most of it until Austin got the hot tag.
The Disciples of Apocalypse Vs Southern Justice
Heel Vs Heel here. Or did they turn the D.O.A face again already? Oh, Paul Ellering is still there...so they're heel. Jeff Jarrett hits Paul Ellering with a guitar. For once, I thank Jeff Jarrett
Al Snow Vs Sgt. Slaughter. if Al Snow wins, he's reinstated by Vince. If Al loses, he's gone for good. Al Snow wins. But he gets attacked by Gearld Brischo & Pat Patterson. 2 Cold Scorpio makes the save.
The Rock cuts an epic face promo, while keeping the same heelish attitude that he had in The Nation at the same time. That's why he's one of the greatest, folks.
Val Venis Vs Owen Hart
I can't stand Venis. Never have, never will. Dustin Rhodes is doing the obsessive christian gimmick who is born again. Dustin tries attacking Venis...but Venis gets the best of him.Val Venis has been sleeping with Dustin's wife, Terri behind his back and purposely taunting Dustin about it. This did nobody any favours. Dustin is a acting like a self-righteous, sanctimonious, judgmental jerk. Val Venis is a heartless, sex addicted, pig, who happily ruins marriages just to get pleasure...and Terri Runnels looks like a slu*******T. Looking back, the Attitude Era had some big problems.
D'Lo Brown (C) Vs X-Pac
X-Pac wins the title. Great little match between these two. Lots of memorable moves from both an even better finish.
The Rock Vs Mankind Vs Ken Shamrock
It ends in a no-contest after Kane and Undertaker attack everyone. Stone Cold manages to attack Vince before Kane and Taker chase him off. Fabulous main-event and a great ending. Raw was better than Nitro usually at this juncture.
Another entertaining show here. You should definitely watch it.
Randy Savage and Fatu put on a gem
Live from Poughkeepsie, NY
Your commentators are Vince McMahon & Jim Cornette (Bobby Heenan left the WWF last week..so Cornette is his replacement)
"Macho Man" Randy Savage Vs Fatu
Savage wins with the Flying Elbow drop. Pretty good stuff from these two. Short...but fully enjoyable overall. I wanted more. Close to 3 stars.
The Smoking Gunns beat two jobbers quite easily
Irwin R. Schyster destroys a jobber. We also get "Yokoclaus" It's actually pretty funny. He dresses up as Santa and hangs out with kids...until it's revealed it's all just a dream. The Undertaker destroys a jobber and puts him in a body bag. We also get another Jeff Jarrett vignette.
Rick "The Model" Martel Vs Tim McNeany
Martel dominates easily. Just to give Martel something to do. He didn't stay in the WWF much longer.
Owen Hart wants his brother Bret to step up to the plate and fight him to prove he's better. Classic promo from Owen.
Bret Hart Vs The Brooklyn Brawler
Bret Hart wins with The Sharpshooter. It was a compeitive 5 minute match...just not a very good one. As much as I love Bret, not much effort was put into this match.
It was OK. A really good match between Savage and Fatu makes it worth seeing.
Clash of the Champions XXII (1993)
Better than you may expect
Your commentators are Jim Ross & Jesse Ventura
Erik Watts is suspended. One guy that never deserved his push to begin with. Loud "Erik Watts sucks" chants.
Cactus Jack Vs Jonnny B. Badd
Cactus wins with a simple standing elbow drop. Well, The Rock won tons of matches with The People's Elbow...so I guess this is acceptable. OK...if short opener.
We get a hilarious 2 Cold Scorpio vignette.
2 Cold Scorpio Vs Scotty Flamingo (Raven)
Scorpio wins. Nifty little match here between these two. Scorpio was an athletic marvel.
Chris Benoit Vs Brad Armstrong
Benoit wins. It had far too many rest-holds...but it had its moments, mainly thanks to Benoit. I'd call it average overall. Crowd got a little restless at times.
An arm-wrestling contest takes place between Vinnie Vegas and Tony Atlas.
Vinnie Vegas is Kevin Nash. Vegas wins. This was a total waste of time and energy for everyone involved.
The Wrecking Crew Vs The Z-Man & Johnny Gunn
The Wrecking Crew wins. This was god awful and extremely sloppy, especially from The Wrecking Crew.
Tag Team Titles
Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat & Shane Douglas (C) Vs The Hollywood Blondes (Steve Austin & Brian Pillman)
Dragon and Douglas win by DQ. I actually wasn't too impressed. I expected more with all that talent in the ring.
Jessee interviews the NEW WCW Champion, Vader, who beat Ron Simmons for the title with a shoulderbreaker. Simmons interrupts. He beats up Harley Race pretty good until Vader gets Simmons back for it and delivers a shouldbreaker on the floor.
Sting & Dustin Rhodes Vs Vader, Barry Windham & Paul Orndorff
Cactus Jack comes in midway through the match for Sting's team and gets the win. Very odd booking...but the match was pretty damn entertaining and that's all that really counts.
I was fairly entertained throughout the broadcast. I'd give it a look for sure
In contention for the best Raw episode of 1993
Shawn Michaels Vs The 1-2-3 Kid
Michaels has the match won until Razor saves the day. Michaels gives Razor two Razor's Edges on the concrete after the match. Great match, classic finish. Raw was actually about to get a little bit better at this point with terrific matches like this.
The Qubecers destroy two jobbers.
Doink Vs Tony DeVito
Doink wins and I barely paid attention.
I skipped a Jeff Jarrett vignette. Also...Crush olibterates a jobber. Randy Savage will face Fatu next week.
Gorilla Monsoon throws Bobby Heenan out of the building, effectively ending Heenan's career in the WWF. This would be his last hurrah and he'd head to WCW shortly after.
Great raw this week. Shawn Michaels vs the 1-2-3 Kid and Heenan being thrown out makes this a must-see
Watchable stuff for sure
Live from East Rutherford, NJ
Your commentators are Tony Schiavone & Jesse Ventura
The Hart Foundation Vs The Brain Busters
The Brain Busters win. Really good opener. Just good old-fashioned, classic tag-team wrestling. Started off a little slow...but picked up to become a lot of fun.
Dusty Rhodes Vs The Honky Tonk Man
Dusty wins win Jimmy Hart accidentally nails Honky with the guitar. Not very good at all. Pretty mediocre and dull. The crowd LOVED Dusty though.
Mr. Perfect Vs The Red Rooster
Mr. Perfect wins with the Perfect-Plex pretty easily. This was a glorified squash match and it didn't last very long.
The Rockers & Tito Santana Vs The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers & "The Model" Rick Martel
Martel and The Rougeau's win. This was another really fun match on this card. You had 6 really good performers in this match so it was pretty hard to screw that up. Still...quite fun.
"Ravishing" Rick Rude (C) Vs The Ultimate Warrior
The Warrior wins the title, thanks to Roddy Piper. Solid match overall. Nothing spectacular...but the storytelling was good and it had plenty of action. Crowd was rabid for everything, which also helped.
A bunch of interviews with Mr. Perfect, Roddy Piper, Ronnie Garvin, Bobby Heenan & Rick Rude take place.
Demolition & "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan Vs The Twin Towers & Andre The Giant
Demolition and Duggan win after Duggan uses the 2 x 4. Pretty terrible...but also fun at the same time if that makes sense. The antics from the faces were kinda fun.
Hercules Vs Greg "The Hammer" Valentine
Ronnie Garvin is the guest ring announcer.
Valentine gets the pin with his foot on the ropes...but Garvin announces Hercules as the winner. This was very weird and kinda pointless overall.
Ted Dibiase Vs Jimmy Snuka
Dibiase wins by countout. Pretty decent stuff from these two. It was kinda meaningless and I don't see why Dibiase couldn't get a clean win here. Snuka was here to put over talent at this juncture.
Hulk Hogan & Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake Vs "Macho Man" Randy Savage & Zeus
Hogan and Beefcake win after Hogan pins Zeus. Meh. It was an average main-event. Zeus was such a silly character and had no business main-eventing a PPV. He was just fodder for Hogan.
It started off well...but it's a tad inconsistent for me to praise it too highly, definitely watchable and definitely worth a watch, though.
The Rock is officially a face! What an amazing show
Live from San Jose, CA
Stone Cold, Undertaker, Kane & Vince McMahon start the show. Vince says Austin can't lay a finger on him...or he'll send Undertaker and Kane after him. He announces Austin will face Undertaker and Kane in a handicapped match at Breakdown. He says Vince didn't screw Austin...Austin screwed Austin. Austin drills him...so Taker and Kane attack Austin. Vince hilariously mocks Austin's trash talking. He also announces Austin will defend the WWF Title against Ken Shamrock later tonight. Whoa! Big pop for that.
The Road Dog Vs Jeff Jarrett
Wow. They actually mentioned the Road Dog's past as The Roadie (Jarrett's sidekick)
Jarrett wins with help from the guitar. Not much to write home about.
*1/2 out of 5
The Road Dog is taken in an ambulance to be escorted to the hospital.
The Rock Vs Kane
The Rock wins, thanks to Mankind nailing Kane with a Sledgehammer. Fun match. Crowd was rabid for The Rock. He was officially a babyface at this juncture. Undertaker challenges Mankind to a match later tonight.
Dustin Runnels Vs Val Venis
Venis reveals he's sleeping with Dustin's wife. I don't miss these angles all. Only people that do are blood thirsty, sex crazed idiots. I can be as filthy and dirty-minded as the rest of them, but I don't see how you can enjoy this stuff.
We get the most HILARIOUS vignette I've ever seen. "A Man's Man" Steven Regal. There is not a tree in the forest he can't cut down to size, folks.
Triple H (C) Vs Owen Hart
The glory hound, Triple H wins again. Average match. Mark Henry challenges X-Pac and Chyna to a handicapped match later tonight.
Mankind Vs The Undertaker
The Rock saves Mankind from getting his career ended. Pretty average match for these two
Gangrel Vs Edge
Gangrel wins by countout after Edge misses a suicide dive. Above average stuff between the two...even if the feud was going nowhere.
X-Pac & Chyna Vs Mark Henry
Henry wins after powerslamming Chyna viciously with a powerslam. More entertaining than it had any right to be. Raw is on fire tonight.
Evening Gown Match
Sable Vs Jacqueline
I hate Sable's guts...so I skip anything when it comes to her most of the time.
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin (C) Vs Ken Shamrock
The match ends in a no-contest once Undertaker and Kane attack Austin and Shamrock. The Rock and Mankind make the save. Really fun main event. Hot ending as well
WOW! Both Raw and Nitro were epic this week. Slight edge goes to Raw. God...I miss the Monday Night Wars
