Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)
Powerful stuff
Technically this movie is a marvel, the cinematography, audio and set pieces are simply stunning. But the way it pulls you in gradually, hiding powerful themes that we all can agree on behind it's comedic and action oriented presentation is what elevates this movie to greatness. Come for the action and comedy and leave with thoughtful consideration.
Best movie I have seen it 2022.
Prey (2022)
Best Predator since the 1st one.
Great acting by the entire cast, but especially by Amber Midthunder, amazing cinematography and the idea to go back to the 1700's Native American timeline for a prequel all add up to the best Predator movie since the 1st one.
K.G.F: Chapter 1 (2018)
So bad.
I'm not sure how a movie this bad could end up with an 8.1 score? It has dialog and acting reminiscent of bad A-Team episodes. Title says it all, movie is so bad.
Decoy (1957)
Took me by surprise.
This show took me completely by surprise. When it showed up on my suggested list, on a whim I watched the 1st episode and was hooked.
It's been called the female Dragnet but in my opinion it is better. The topics are timely even for today and definitely ahead of it's time for 1958. Filmed entirely in NYC, it is a enlightening snapshot of the city in the 50's with many of the structures looking exactly the same to this day. Also of note are the many actors appearing in Decoy who would go on to become household names.
Don't let the name or age of the show dissuade you. I think American TV audiences were just not ready for an empowered female lead in a series and that's a shame because personally, I would have liked to have seen a few more seasons.
Four More Shots Please! (2019)
Shallow is the best way to describe this series.
The "problems" the characters face are shallow. The ways in which they attempt to address them is shallow. The resolutions are superficial and shallow. The writing and acting never reach any kind of depth or realism. Yeah, shallow is the word that best describes this show.
