The Believer (2021)
pretentious aesthetic and heavy makeup
Violet looks like mormon robot with heavy makeup, this film tries too hard to be something when there isn't something solid to grasp your attention.
Recycled generic garbage
The only 'horror' thing in this movie, is how boring and predictable it is. Does hollywood never learns?
The Little Things (2021)
Good story, ruined by bad pace and direction
No chemistry between Denzel and Rami, denzel's acting wasn't great either. Honestly, the only reason i gave it 7 rating even when it deserves 4 or 5, is they did nothing new but we as viewers are tired of same recycled garbage, so we appreciate, we appreciate the only twist this movie had, because this movie had nothing else going on. Thanks to all the lazy editors and whoever directed it.
Love the cinematography and yea, that's all
Dude doesn't talk and the other one intentionally talks in a way, you can't understand what he's saying. I love slow pace/atmospheric horror but this is just slow without substance, there was no twist, you kinda know what's gonna happen in the end.
Edgy+Self destructive cop+Big bowl of sarcasm = Super depressed sherlock holmes
Lots of interesting characters, lacking proper character development because they're too quirky. The goofy music in the background even makes a subject like
murder, even dead bodies become a funny scene. It's a combo of lots of ideas and a generic script, which most people won't mind but i don't need to see someone
play House, if they're bad at it.
Bloody Hell (2020)
It was refreshing at start, but it became boring and generic
The Dark and the Wicked (2020)
Give it a try, horror fans
The ambiguous story was a plus, we can all agree that we're bored of some past crime and the priest/shaman person coming to the rescue, to a predictable end. It was refreshing, the only thing that could really polish this film is, if it had a slow pace direction, leaning towards an atmospheric horror.
Anything for Jackson (2020)
Big horror fan. Anything for jackson could've been better if it had a serious direction/slow pace and could do better with less music, to create the creepy environment effective. Either way it was original/different and all the little twists made it standout from the generic garbage they're producing nowadays.
Music and action scenes, dull
I guess if you're a fan of joker and the whole crew then it might be something you would enjoy. I rarely watch DC/Marvel stuff, mostly because i am not a fan of 'capes' and 'superpowers'. Hopefully, there would be some movie or series by Vertigo comics, like Sandman.
Prodigal Son (2019)
It's not Hannibal but..
A good example is episode 7 of season one, a serial killer is imprisoned in a psychiatric facility and folks come to meet and chat, but there is some lunatic, who got free
and now there is a wounded victim because of him, the guards are on leave or watching tucker carlson's new conspiracy theory, so the serial killer saves the wounded victim by using toilet paper. The mother is a rich
woman, who tries to sound sarcastic but she's on lsd, she sounds like a cartoon instead because of her incredibly bad acting. Avoid.
Chick Fight (2020)
No matter how dumb you are, it's still not funny
It was a complete waste of time, idk how it's possible to make such a terrible movie but then i remembered hollywood's potential to make garbage and peddle it as entertainment.
The Vigil (2019)
Expected more from this indie film
Waited a long time and was excited to watch it, it started great but it was nothing but a typical hollywood movie with the same generic formula. Sadly there aren't any good horror movies but hopefully, indie filmmakers will come up with some original concepts.
12 Hour Shift (2020)
Superb acting but the story isn't gripping enough
Not much of a comedy but something still enjoyable.
The Boys (2019)
More edgy group of people with capes
Deprived of imagination so capes!. Over the top action, gory and fetish sex scenes. Evil folks with super powers? and good people with huge cursing vocabulary. Seth rogen is making a lot of money through smoking dope but the problem is, we're not high. Make something memorable instead of this recycled garbage, which is in abundance nowadays.
A lesson on anti acting by james franco
Franco's robotic acting and megan fox is in it, doing what she does best! causing hardons in the middle of the movie but all the surgeries are
kindly visible now. Honestly just avoid anything with James franco as a main character.
Project Power (2020)
One of those... like junk food
Hollywood produces these all the time, cool action packed stuff, deprived of imagination/originality so 'Powers' and 'Magic' stuff. Nothing new, enjoy your junk food.
The Rental (2020)
Watch Modus Anomali aka Ritual (2012) instead
The story isn't bad but the direction and the acting doesn't grip your attention, pretty predictable and nothing new, if you've watched Ritual (2012).
Mr. Right (2015)
Like Sam Rockwell but this? nah
I watch almost all movies of sam rockwell but this is.. he's like 47 and this movie tries to be funny and have all violence hollywood is require to include to make it a good movie but the thing is, it seems like a movie for kids but it ain't, it's like it was directed by someone from the bollywood, if that makes any sense.
Unpredictable and not your usual crime drama
Things got very interesting after the first season, unexpectedly good. A minefield of twists and turns which will keep you hooked.
Guns Akimbo (2019)
What if, you're not on acid?
Over the top, ridiculous, wild ride etc.. Maybe i am not in the target audience or maybe i just recognize that it doesn't have anything to offer. Disguised as a fast-paced action movie, with mindless gore and action scenes with too much music in the background to create some kind of effect. I love Crank and Upgrade but beware, it's too effing 'cool' and it would violate your senses in a bad bad way. Btw what's up with every chick trying to be harley quinn?
The Little Drummer Girl (2018)
Entertainment + Free brainwashing at the same time
Hollywood does it again! this time it's Palestinians. Forget the Afghanistan's version of cave dwellers. These man hoes are advanced, seductive and manipulative. They will not just only steal your gf but make her blow stuff up. Really good if you're already brainwashed.
The Magnificent Seven (2016)
Politically correct cowboys
Watched it because Byung-Hun Lee but i am gonna stick to his korean movies from on. It got asian, native american, mexican, irish, black dude and a courageous woman with a magnificent rack. They're gonna take down a capitalist warlord and save the people to carry on bounties to murder in a morally right way. Big budget but nothing new to see here, maybe one day hollywood make a movie about columbus and native americans to educate everyone globally in an entertaining way.
Maika Monroe's bad acting and boring plot
There isn't much to say beside it was waste of time
Give it a chance, for the sake of something different
At first i didn't understand what deadwood was, partial thanks to garbage television and their generic ways we're all accustomed to watching. Deadwood will surprise you
with it's unusual pace without all the fireworks you expected from it and it's hilarious moments. A fine study
of human nature, more like human misery. Deadwood doesn't rely on dramatic cowboy shoot outs and low key soap opera drama where there is often
no proper build-up of characters but mostly relying on suspense of some kind, to a predictable end. It's not possible to not enjoy Ian McShane, how perfectly he delivers his character. Deadwood's story doesn't rely on conventional ways, it's characters, their personalities, great writing and outstanding performance by most actors (beside sheriff bullocks) will get you hooked once you give it a chance. You will
become a part of camp, not choosing sides because there is no good or evil, only survival.. Hoping it won't end but sadly it got canceled.
Sorry for my bad english
We Go On (2016)
It will get your attention
When everyone is going after fictionous monsters, cheap jumpscares, remakes etc. We go on went for a realistic
approach, folklore of many cultures around the world, things we all heard of. We go on tackles that in an interesting, original and
creative way. Good acting, perfect direction with just enough slow pace to build up the tension and it gets you hooked. I really enjoyed it,
it's such a treat to watch something unpredictable and movies with something new other then the same garbage they keep on producing.
