What in the actual Frak!
24 February 2024
A movie so mediocrely bad, it over-dubbed the voice of the main villain without ANY concerning for lip-syncing.

I caught it hoping it would be Wiseau's the Room bad... but it's just tedious, contrived, badly written, horribly acted, putridly paced and oh so mundane...

Maybe it will make money because if you told me it t cost 10 million to make I'd believe you.

I didn't think any one could be a girl-boss team up movie worse than "Captain Marvel 2: Downgraded in Her Own Sequel" but here we are.

Some of it I had to watch through my hands as I covered my face in shame.

It's one of those movies you don't even dare to laugh at cuz you feel deep pity and shame for all involved.

At least now we know why formerly HBOMax canned the Game of Thrones spin off pilot SJ Clarkson had "directed"

Don't believe me? See it for yourself.

I wouldn't wish it upon my enemies, but hey do you!

A below average movie with a great message.
15 May 2023
The idea behind the movie is sound- Made me think of Bottle Rocket but with The Word as the basis and goal of the movie - however the script coulda used several more rewrites.

Many of the scenes don't flow. There's no sense or cohesion from one scene to another, and even the redemption arch of one of the characters lack the depth to actually have any effect on the audience.

The soundtrack is great however there's too much of it - too much driving passed blend scenery and too much background music.

I think there's a terrific premise for a movie in there, but the filmmakers weren't willing to go through the development process to get the idea to fruition.

Maybe someone some day can remake it like what they did with a oceans 11, which was an atrocious original but a fantastic remake.

All Praise, Honor and Glory to the Most High Elohim.

The best "mindless" fun at the movies I've had since the 90's
4 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The movie no one knew they wanted but Hollywood (with its 21ts century wokeism) most definite needed it.

From nods to the first to poignant moments between maverick and the original cast (one on, one off screen), top gun: maverick succeeds at everything Hollywood has failed in these divise era of "The Message"

Proving once again, that no, the Pecking order of the Hollywood blockbuster action heroes does not star and end with marvel. It actually starts and ends with Ethan Hunt, Pete "Maverick" Mitchell, and a myriad of roles from the guy whose smile still sells tickets.

But here, without forcing or cheesing it up, Thomas Cruise Mapother III, turns down his wattage, to craft a sequel that succeeds and dare I say exceeds the classic. Working again with his latter-half-of-his-career pal Chris McQuarrie, Cruise preoccupation with details, and perfectionism, materializes one of the best, most testosterone filled ode to the honor and the triumph of the human will.

Wokeists will hate on the lack of "representation" which actually means patronizing, but here the single female best of the best understands she's pierced thru the boys club and rather than womensplaining the men she gives as good as she gets, and earns her stripes every step of the way.

And at last the "good guys" win by disobeying the pre-supposed safe plan, willing to sacrifice its own skin not just for country but for each other.

And for those who believe movies like these "have no place in our current climate" I think Maverick's perceived over the hill captain response to Ed Harris barking suits just fine:

"Maybe some day Admiral. But not today"

Lupin is now black so 11 1/2 stars???
10 March 2021
The writing is awful and lazy, and the sidestepping of the race change by saying "inspired by Lupin" is lazier still.

How about writing a show about someone who was a fan of Lupin... and call it something else instead of taking the IPs title and black facing it cuz Woke

Watch it only if your a pandering cancel culture Bot

A Steaming Pile

A laughed out loud and even snorted as the unintentional comedy kept coming. A true dumpster fire on the level of "The Room" if you substitute the naïveté and ignorance of that cult classic with warrior vitriol and contempt

Garbage to sleeping throw the masses off the sent
25 September 2019
Everyone with more than half a brain and a little bit of independent research under their belt knows that MM was kidnapped by none other than the lifelong child molesters Podesta Bros. So it's not surprising at all to see a Suzan Rice ran Netflix - which has a multi-picture deal with the "Obamas" (né Soetoros) - produce a "true crime" series which throws people off the sent and doesn't even show the police sketches of the suspect kidnappers - as those drawings pretty much identify the disgusting duo.

Second Best Rambo of All Time!
20 September 2019
Forget the naysayers and the 'cinematheque' soothsayers, this is a Rambo movie, and a darn good one. One hell rollicking ride. More Please!

Don't do it!
8 April 2014
Warning: Spoilers
I was dumb enough to read 3 positive reviews and jump on the band wagon without scanning further to look into the negative. And oh boy are the negative ones right! I've never written a review before, but since this was probably one of the worst hours ever wasted of my life I felt compelled to waste another 10minutes writing this. In plain English? The writing is atrocious. The whole thing is thrown together without any rhyme or reason. It's like 12 people were having a drinking game "name the post apocalyptic scenario" and someone was sober enough to write them all down. "Things happen" 'cause the creator needed for them to happen to move the story forward - even though the only "move forward" that happens are of characters going from A to B to F as in Falling Flat. Characters say or do random things 'cause you know? Why not! It's entertaining. We need people running around and bickering and crying and disagreeing all the time. We need total chaos and panic. Yes! "More cowbells please". It's the post-apocalypse for crying out loud! I stayed until the end hoping to get a smudge of an explanation but there's no "Rosebud" or "Keyser Soze" here. No. There's just a perfect (sic) Deus Ex Machina that is suppose to shock and hook you but instead just hoodwinks you. Highly recommended for anyone who loved the final episode of the great-until-that-moment show that was "Lost". If you like wasting your time coming up with convoluted excuses for lazy and poor plot/character choices by the creators, well, Mr. Carter made this one just for you.
