I give 3 stars just because it is Tom Hanks and he did have his charming personality and funny way of expressing himself. But that is all.

The movie itself, the director and the whole thing I give 0 to 1. The story could have been interesting without all these overboard episodes. the whole movie is a flop, stupid and really not funny although they want to make you think so.

Of course, I know that this was one of Tom Hanks first movies, and this is why I gave 3 stars to him.

It's heavy with inappropriate and vulgar sequences.

I am glad that Tom Hanks didn't continue on this trend.

It's strange that other foreign movies, much worst, are given the best marks

I found this movie very moving, and well documented. Indeed, it is a documentary.

Even on films, bias against Israel is obvious. I saw marks as high as 8.1 and 5 are given to horrible french movies, which are the worst in the film industry. French, besides naked and "object" women, have no imagination, and still they are given the best marks. Incredible.

The story of this Israeli spy is very informative of at which length would Israelis go to protect their citizens against vicious attacks from the neighboring Arabs. This movie renders with utmost reality the talent exercised by this Israeli spy to hiding his activities to his wife and whole family.

And his whole life as a spy is incredible because he didn't chose to be a spy and it was not his trade at all. That shows the love Israelis have for their tiny country due to the fact they endanger their own lives and the lives of their families, without a thought, to help their country. I believe this movie is very well directed and played, especially when we consider the size and the date of Israel's creation: 1948. There was nothing but sand and desert.

My marks for this movie is 8.5

Pure propaganda to please the large Muslim population in France, and also the socialistic aspirations of this country.

Plus, artistically, the movie is one of the worst I have ever seen. But, I am not surprised. French movies are most of the time worst than mediocre: screen directors, actors, settings, dialogues, etc.

And I am not surprised it has a 7.2 users' review. They must be French and / or Muslims who love to see a Jew having a relationship with them. it arouses their pride and self-esteem.

Additionally, the movie doesn't tell the truth. It rarely happens that Jews and Muslims interact. It can happen of course, but rarely. Also, a Palestinian, where it's so dangerous for a Jewish woman to go? What about, the guards who secure the border between Gaza and the West Bank and Israel? They would have noticed the Israeli Jew and wouldn't let her pass. It was the same when a Jewish Israeli citizen wanted to visit Egypt from Israel. They couldn't pass before !

Last, the description about checking, and security enforcement by Israelis has only one purpose: to demonize Israel and attract sympathy to the Palestinians. This, France loves it.
