BeetleBorgs (1996–1998)
One of my joys as a kid.
16 July 2004
Aside from Power Rangers, Big Bad Beetleborgs was one of my many favorite television shows to look forward to. It had a lot of stuff that Power Rangers had, which was enough for me to watch it. But it was a bit different though.

Three kids who love comic books are given one wish by a friendly ghost, Flabber. The kids wish they were their favorite comic book characters, the Beetleborgs! Drew McCormick becomes the Blue Stinger Beetleborg, and the leader of the team. He gains the power of telekenesis. His sister, Jo, becomes the Red Striker Beetleborg. She gains the power of super strength. Their friend, Roland Williams, becomes the Green Hunter Beetleborg. He gains the power of super speed. After fighting several monsters made by the bad guys, the Magnavors, they create their own Beetleborg, the evil Shadowborg. Shadowborg easily decimates them, causing the team to make a 4th member. An artist creates the White Blaster Beetleborg, and gives the powers to a classmate of theirs, Josh Baldwin. Josh defeats Shadowborg, but loses his powers as well.

Danny Phantom (2003–2007)
One of the few good shows on Nickelodeon now.
14 July 2004
This show really is a step-up from other Nickelodeon cartoons that are being shown. Danny Phantom has a lot of cooler effects, too.

The story: A young boy named Danny Fenton has gotten ghost powers by an accident that his ghost-crazed father made. His powers gave him that of a ghost, in which he can become invisible. But there's more than that. He also has flying abilities, controlling others' minds, and going through walls. Danny also has two buddies of his: Samantha, a vegetarian goth and Tucker, a meat-loving cocky kid. Danny's crush is a girl named Paulina, who he almost had a chance with. He also has to avoid Dash, a bully who wants to kill him.

Overall, your typical Nicktoon, but a little more to expect an the other ones shown.

Will Ferrell is hilarious!
14 July 2004
Since Elf came out, I've been waiting for Ferrell's new starring movie, and Anchorman is it. And it does not disappoint, comedy fans! With great actors and script, it's one not to miss.

The story: Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell) is a newcaster who's mostly concerned with himself and what he wants. Along with him is his newscrew: Brian, a ladies' man with a sense of fashion, Champ Kind, a western-esque man with little politeness, and Brick, a a person with low intelligence (Think Ralph Wiggum from the Simpsons.) Anyway, a new girl comes into the crew, named Veronica Corningstone. Her and Ron fall for each other during a dinner, and things couldn't be better for Ron. Until Veronica is promoted to co-anchorman, which angers the newscrew. So Ron wants her off the newscrew, in anyway.

Aside from story, the characters are very funny, especially Brick Tamland, who's played by Steve Carell. Go see the movie yourself, now!

Spider-Man 2 (2004)
10/10
Better than the first!
2 July 2004
I saw the first Spiderman movie, and I loved it. And this one is no exception, either! It had lots of cool stuff in it, like the appearance of Hal Sparks, J.K. Simmon's role as J. Jonah Jameson, and Harry Osbourne..well...you gotta see it for yourself! Alfred Molina does a very superb job as Dr. Otto Octavious, or Doc Ock for the villain buffs. While it has a lot of dramatic and action-packed stuff, it very well incorporates humor well. Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst do very well done character roles. Sam Raimi, you've really outdone yourself on this film!

Power Rangers in Space (1998–1999)
5. 4. 3. 2. 1!
28 March 2004
After the Turbo Rangers, T.J., Carlos, Justin, Ashley, and Cassie lose the Command Center and their powers, they must go off to space to find some new hope. Justin, the kiddy Blue Turbo Ranger, stays behind, leaving the other four rangers to go off into space. When they arrive on a spaceship, they meet the Red Space Ranger, Andros, who reluctantly gives them powers to help fight other evils. We find out some really cool stuff that's a little different from the other PR series, but in a good way! The new team is sure to be remembered for many years to come! Andros will always be one of my favorites, next to Tommy and Jason.

Power Rangers ROAR!!!!!!
14 March 2004
I stopped watching Power Rangers after Power Rangers In Space, and totally forgot about the show. Then I came across the new series, Dino Thunder, and I began watching it again, basically because of Tommy returning! Tommy is now a high school science teacher, and has given three students of his, Connor, Ethan and Kira, Dino Gems, which turns them into Power Rangers. Connor is the leader and knucklehead of the group, Ethan is a computer genius and video game freak, and Kira is sort of an outsider and a good singer. Tommy later gets himself a Dino Gem of his own, making him the Black Dino Power Ranger! Now, this new team of Power Rangers must stop the evil Mesogog and his henchmen from taking over the world! Romeo! (2003–2006)
Ugh....
10 February 2004
I can safely say Nickelodeon is NOT doing a good job trying to get new material together. And this is clean proof right here. This show, Romeo, is by far one of the stupidest lame shows Ive seen in a long while! It's all Romeo, all the time! What about Mrs. Rogers, Gary, or heck, even Percy Miller himself?! But no, we get a talentless piece of garbage we all know as Romeo! And with a whole lot of dumb phrases, sayings, and special effects as well!

But however, there is one little glimmer of light....VICTORIA JACKSON! Who is she, you ask? She's a former cast member on SNL, so you can just assume she's gonna be a barrel of laughs, and she is! She does a great job playing Mrs. Rogers, and she should get some more air time! But not even she can save this show from being a "Romeo-Fest".

Score: **/***** (And I'm being nice giving this show 2 stars!)

Power Rangers Zeo (1996–1997)
Great followup to a classic!
9 February 2004
Warning: Spoilers
(SLIGHT SPOILERS!) The story: The sinister Master Vile has come and turned the Power Rangers into into little kids by use of the Orb of Doom. So now, they all had to find a piece of the Zeo Crystal to gain their powers! While they all find found their crystals, and got their real ages back, Aisha the yellow ranger, stayed in Africa when she got her crystal to take care of sick animals, and sent a girl named Tanya in her place as the new ranger. After they all got their crystals, they became new Zeo Rangers! Also, the Machine Empire takes over to try to defeat the rangers! Jason, the original red ranger, also comes back as the Gold Ranger for a little while.

This new series didn't also have a better storyline to it, but better special effects, cool costumes, and awesome villains!

Plain and simple: A classic.
8 February 2004
Everyone says, "Lord of the Rings is probably the best movie trilogy ever." I'm not going to disagree. This movie has it all: good music, effects, story, and acting. Nothing could probably surpass this.

The story: In the land of the Shire, Bilbo Baggins is known well for his adventures. On his birthday, he disappears from the party site, goes to his house, and says to his friend, Gandalf, to give his Ring to his nephew, Frodo Baggins. The problem is, the ring attracts evil, and now Frodo must bring the ring to Mordor, and destroy it in Mount Doom, the only one place it can be destroyed. Along the way, Frodo meets new people, and they join his adventure, making them "The Fellowship of the Ring".

Overall, this is a great movie to see if you're a fan of the books, but it's great if you're not, as well. Definitely worth seeing over and over again!

The Green Ranger was my favorite.
8 February 2004
Warning: Spoilers
(SLIGHT SPOILERS) When I was a young kid, I loved watching this series. It had cool heroes, as well as villains! During this series, team members were found and lost. This is show is classic!

The story: Five teenagers, Jason, Zach, Billy, Kim, and Trini are given powers by a floating head wizard, Zordon, to battle Rita and her minions, making them the fighting force known as the Power Rangers! Later on, Tommy, a new kid in town, is chosen to be the evil Green Ranger. After some battles and the destroying of Green Ranger's Sword of Darkness, Tommy joined the team as the sixth ranger. Soon after, Tommy lost his powers as the Green Ranger, but became the White Ranger, and a new villain, Lord Zedd came to help Rita defeat the rangers.

Overall, this is a great show for little kids, but good to see for older fans for nostalgia purposes. Score: ****.5/*****

I feel pretty....

Anger Management was one of the funniest movies I've seen in a while. Sandler and Nicholson make a great team in this flick. Sure, it's not a real 90's Sandler movie, but it's funny in it's own way.

The story: An easy going man, Dave Buznik, is falsely accused of abuse to a flight attendant. So he has to go through anger management classes, taught by Dr. Buddy Rydell. Little does Dave know of the chaos that goes on in his group, but it's his doctor he has to worry about more. Don't know why? Well, let's just say Buddy needs a little anger management himself.

The acting in this movie is very good, with stars like Adam Sandler, Jack Nicholson, Marissa Tomei, John Turturro, Jonathan Loughran, and many more.

Billy Madison (1995)
Sandler in his early years!
30 January 2004
This being the first Adam Sandler movie i've seen, i didn't really expect much at first. But when I first watched it, I was hysterical! This movie was one of the most memorable. Why? Read on.

The story: A man by the name of Billy Madison is heir to a fortune! But Billy's dad won't give it to him, due to his lack of intelligence and discipline, so his dad will give it to his tyrant employee, Eric Gordan. But Billy won't let that happen, so he'll go through grades 1-12, to prove to his dad he's not an idiot!

Sandler is loads of laughs in this movie, along with Bradley Whitford, Josh Mostel, Norm MacDonald, Chris Farley, and many more! If you have the time, I recommend seeing this movie.

Great followup to OOT!
29 January 2004
In 1998, Nintendo released the first 3-D Zelda game, "Ocarina Of Time". That game had everything a good game should have: awesome gameplay, beautiful graphics, and challenging gameplay! It was called to be the new era of videogames. 2 years later, Nintendo released a sequel, "Majora's Mask". While not being the same as OOT, it had a lot of different things, such as improved graphics, cooler weapons, and much more challenging gameplay. The game takes place in 3 days time. The story: After defeating Ganondorf and restoring peace to Hyrule, Link left Hyrule to search for a "friend". While in the woods, he gets attacked by a skull kid with two fairies. The skull kid then stole Link's ocarina and horse, Epona, and took off, but not before turning Link into a Deku Scrub. With the help of a mask-seller, Link got his Ocarina and his true form back! But now, Link must save the world from the moon in 3 days!

Great game with unique story. Score: ****.5/*****

Drake & Josh (2004–2007)
Very funny show!
18 January 2004
When it seemed like Nickelodeon was going downhill with their recent shows, they pull off a really good one! That show is Drake and Josh. The story goes like this: Drake Parker lives with his mom and little sister, Megan. Josh Nichols lives with his dad. The mom and dad have been dating, and had made a decision to get married, not to the delight of Drake. Josh is a goody tooshoes, while Drake is a hard rock kid. As for Megan, she's just full of schemes and pranks! Drake Bell and Josh Peck have very good on-air chemistry, which makes for a good show! A thumbs up to Nickeldeon!

The Simpsons: Hit & Run (2003 Video Game)
Homer won't be Dohing over this game!
31 December 2003
Warning: Spoilers
(Slight Spoilers) I just got this game for Christmas, and I have to say it's one of the coolest games ever!

In Springfield, weird things have been going on. Black vans, giant robotic wasps, and video cameras have been seen throughout town! Who is doing this?! Only the Simpsons can find out! Oh, and Apu as well.

In the last Simpsons game, ''Road Rage'', you could only stay in the car. But now you can travel on-foot! Not only that, you can let the players go in other vehicles than their defaults! You must do certain missions to go to the next level. There are bonus missions in where you can unlock stuff like cars. You'll also see trading cards, where if you collect all of them in a level, you get a bonus track to race in. If you collect all the cards in all the levels, you get to unlock an Itchy and Scratchy cartoon!

If you're a fan of Simpsons or action/adventure games, this'll be one you won't afford to miss.

Funnyness!
2 December 2003
Warning: Spoilers
(SLIGHT SPOILERS) I first saw this movie on Summer Snick, and I decided to go and record it on tape. From then on, I watch it whenever I need a good laugh! It's just a really funny movie. The story is like this: Kenan and his family go on a vacation, and Kel sneaks in and goes with them. Along the way, Kenan sees a "Headless Knight", and it scares him to death! When they go to a weirdo museum, they see a statue of a Headless Knight and it says that he lst his head in a battle and survived! He also cuts off the heads of his victims and wears them as if his own, and he eats the bodies! Gross... So begins an adventurous journey and with a few laughs. Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell make this movie very very funny, along with Ken Foree, Vanessa Baden, Teal Marchande, Thomas Knickerbocker, Michael Berryman, Tim Winters, Bonnie Hellman, and Terry Ray, just to name a few!

This movie gets a ****.5/*****

Cool comedy based on WCW
29 November 2003
Warning: Spoilers
(MAY CONTAIN SOME SLIGHT SPOILERS!) I first saw Ready to Rumble at my cousin's house, and he said it was a very funny movie. After seeing it, i couldn't help but agree with him. Not only did this movie have comedy, but it had many wrestler appearances!

Storyline: Two sewage workers, Gordie and Sean, go to an episode of WCW Nitro to see their wrestling hero, Jimmy King, wrestle Diamond Dallas Page in a world title match. After a bunch of superstars come to the ring and attack King, courtesy of WCW owner Tidus Sinclair, Jimmy King is fired from WCW. So Gordie and Sean go to the King to help him get his spirits back up, and get back to WCW!

Many different wrestling cameos take place as well, such as Golderg, DDP and Sting. Others that are just pushed in there are Bam Bam Bigelow, Curt Hennig, Juventud Guererra, Billy Kidman, and Disco Inferno.

This makes a good comedy to buy and see a few times. It gets a ****/*****.

"Young waker of the winds..."
28 November 2003
Warning: Spoilers
(MAY CONTAIN SLIGHT SPOILERS) When I first got the Gamecube, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker came with it free! I popped in the game disk, and thus began a great gaming experience.

The story takes place almost 100 years after The Ocarina of Time. It was then custom for boys over 13 to be clothed with the same green clothing as the hero who saved the land of Hyrule(Link). So a young boy on an island called Outset Island has turned that age of 13, and is given a telescope by his little sister, Aryll. When he goes off to the woods to find a girl who is dropped by a giant bird, Aryll gets caught by the bird, and is destined to find her!

The gameplay is very similar to Ocarina of Time, except the sword combos are different, such like the items you collect! The only thing I hated in this game is the lack of dungeons. You'd expect they thrown in like 8 different dungeons like in OOT, but no! But it's still fun.

The graphic style is called "cel-shaded", which is kind of like cartoony like, very different from the previous 3D games. But it's great for any type of gamer who wants a change in looks!

This games gets a nice ****.5/***** in my book of great videogames!

Go Link Go!
27 November 2003
When my dad bought a Nintendo 64, I remember he bought 2 games with it: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Banjo-Kazooie. I saw my dad play and beat Zelda, so I gave it a shot!

The story goes like this: In a small forest of Kokiri, there lived the small kid-like people called the Kokiris. But there was one who was different from the rest. His name was Link. He had no fairy, so he was made fun of a lot. But one morning, a fairy comes and tells Link that the Great Deku Tree, the guardian of Kokiri Forest, has chosen Link for a special task! So there the adventure begins!

The gameplay is flawless, and is very fun. There are many different types of baddies to fight, each with their own unique style! The puzzles are extremely fun, and they wind up with you gaining new items!

The graphics are really good for the N64 standards, and they are still preferred by many gamers, including myself! All the character and enemy models are done very nicely! The item models are very well-made as well.

This will last you a very long time, with what the extremely complex puzzles and everything. This game deserves a perfect *****/*****! Now go and play!

Elf (2003)
Very funny holiday movie!
25 November 2003
Here's the story. An elf named Buddy lives in the North Pole with the rest of the elves. But there was one little thing about him that separated him from the rest: He was huge! So he goes to New York to search for his biological parents.

Will Ferrel is very funny in this movie. Even though I only saw him on a couple of films, I could tell right away that Will was a comedic hurricane! Along with the rest of the crew, it made a *****/***** score in my book!

The Angry Beavers (1997–2001)
Why did Nickelodeon cancel this?
23 November 2003
I remember many different funny shows that Nickelodeon used to make from Rocko's Modern Life to Salute Your Shorts. They were funny, and this show was no exception.

Two beavers get kicked right out of their own home, and they get to live on their own! Even though they're brothers, they are very unalike. Norbert is very laid-back, while Daggett is a very crazy beaver! They have many different friends in the forest, who can be just as funny as the two beavers. Norb and Dag always get into some kind of predicaments, such as when Dag gets knocked into last week, Norb brings Stump in which angers Dag, and the cereal incident.

How the good ol' days were. This show deserves a perfect *****/*****!
