The Winchesters (2022–2023)
1/10
THANK JACK allmighty that this show was cancelled.
3 March 2024
After several attempts I finally suffered through all the 13 eps. Had it not been (supposedly) a prequel to Supernatural I'd have stopped watching maybe even halfway through the very first Ep.

In span of 13 Eps, (with an avg of 45 mins of running time each, minus the usual avg of 10 min cold-open plus credits per ep) during this seemingly short (on paper) total of 8 Hours, You will meet some of the WORST and annoyingly unlikable characters associated with the Supernatural series EVER, and if you think having those characters around is the worst thing abt this show, you will think again when you realize THOSE ARE the main characters, AND if watching Mom and Dad actually hunting together (alongside 2 other hunters that you are supposed to care abt i think, considering the fact that sometimes they get much more screen time than freakin John and Mary, but even when talking about their "deepest darkest secrets" is forcibly tied to J+M just to shove their backstory down your throat... you'll be like OMG I DONT CARE) if all these were not bad enough, well you'll be happy to know that miracles do happen, and the thing you thought was impossible, hating and being repulsed by JOHN frkn Winchester, happens.

BUT ALAS the ONLY ACTUAL good news abt this whole mess comes at the end making sure this awful detour will never sully everything that made Supernatural what it was. There are a few characters that you meet along the way and love, hint all 5 of them are guest characters.

Da Vinci's Demons (2013–2015)

Sons of Mithras have never heard of the name Zoroaster.
28 June 2023
Overall this was an entertaining adventure, puzzle, mystery, fictional, HIGH-FANTASY ride. I'd say its a rather Solid choice for binging that is IF you approach this series as pure fictional fantasy, and not just over-dramatization to the point of fantastical iteration of semi-historical tales, nah fantasy as in high-fantasy, as in the whole thing is set in a world of its own, any and all similarities (names, places, dates, etc) you see in this series IS MERELY a coincidence and that's all.

If it were otherwise, this could easily be considered as one of the most insulting Series/Movies EVER MADE.

Davinci The mad genius, is portrayed as someone whose knowledge of the world defies any language, time or geographic barriers, among whose closest friends one is named "Zoroaster" is approached by a "mysterious group" who call themselves "Sons of Mithras" and Da Vinci doesn't have the slightest clue as to who they are... Da Vinci knows all the answers, yet somehow the question of where Zoroaster's name comes from has never occurred to him or to anyone for that matter. Even "Sons of Mithras" act like the name "Zoroaster" doesn't mean anything to them either. As if, Zoroaster is not the...

Homeland (2011–2020)

This show is as REAL as Iranian SHIA members of Al-Qaeda
22 May 2023
This show is as REAL as an Iranian SHIA member of Al-Qaeda, Which is actually the premise of the show which is sadly funny because reality is simple as this, if UN, were to give Al-Qaeda one chance to choose and wipe-out only ONE from all the nations and religions in the world, They would choose Shias of Iran in a heartbeat.

Even as Pure fiction, this show is littered with way too many errors, falsities, and the most-problematic of all, LIES; in fiction there is no such thing as a LIE per say, however when the historical realworld truth is contradicted and presented to the audience in such manner to, dare I say, mislead the viewer, influence their assumption that what they are made aware as basic facts of the show VIA this show if not in its ENTIERITY is based on realworld, verified and agreed-upon KNOWN TRUTH.

Now that's a very weird way of saying creators of Homeland wanted this show to be as close to reality as possible and within that framework tell the story of a CIA agent; but they only managed to pull off the latter, ONLY a story about an annoying CIA agent in a make believe world.

Literally, its impossible to count all the basic things that they got wrong in this show STARTING with ABC of Arabic language, OR Worse, the "noise" Brody makes whenever he prays, WHAT IS THAT? I'm telling you he is not saying ANYTHING; just making glottal sounds.

OW and all these supposedly Arabic words that you see, those are just Letters, Arabic Words, Nor any other language in the middle east region for that matter, are not formed by S E P E R A T E D letters like English or Latin or whatever...

I "Need to Make Confession"
5 May 2023
Forgive me Reader, for I am addicted to the whole Exorcist subgenre of horror movies and I want you to know that before reading what I have to say about this movie, so if the following comes off in a certain way, you know where my biases lie. I ACHE for new old-school catholic exorcism movies Old School as in Vatican Must approve the Exorcism, Priests have to wear the Purple and read from the book of Roman Ritual the whole nine yards.

BUT ALL OF THOSE combined come in as distant SECOND reason why I LOVE this movie.

The main reason... well 1 name Russell Crowe.

I was SUPER skeptical about Crowe playing this role, right until the moment I watched the movie; and believe me I'd never been happier to be proven 100% wrong.

It does not happen that often in Horror genre, that the acting cast, contribute THIS much to improve the overall quality of the movie, almost always its the other way around, its the Acting that ruins 99% of modern horror movies, even those that have a pretty decent screenplay and superb production quality.

There's not much of a story here besides Amorth's story-line which makes sense cause its supposedly all about the life of Father Amorth (it aint, its just ONE possession story, accompanied by a decent over-arching story and an intriguing sub-story to Amorth's), overall it has a decent script nothing too fancy about it, but the quality IS superb and Russel Crowe IS the best thing about this movie.

Even though Its a not so thrilling horror movie that is more of a thriller than a horror, It's a GREAT and entertaining movie no doubt about it.

Louis C.K. at the Dolby (2023 TV Special)
10/10
Vintage Louis back at his prime
28 April 2023
It had been a WHILE since I'd laughed this hard. SRYSLY for 60 mins, I couldn't breathe right cause I was laughing THE ENTIRE time.

He started this on a LMAO note and kept hitting that note with landing every single punchline perfectly.

He did an excellent job of sticking to a handful of relatively related topics and at the same time kept it refreshing.

Those standard "Louis" thinking-out-loud kinda Jokes that he does in every special, were especially special and well thought of and pulled off perfectly.

This is one of the funniest, as in Laughing Out really fqn Hard funny, 60 minutes I've ever experienced. Welcome Back.

Its barely a 5 as a movie, but its not just THIS movie or THIS series...
12 April 2022
It's barely a 5 as a movie, but it's not just THIS movie or THIS series... It's about DEMOLISHING the decade of memories and a Fantastic series of HP movies and a wizardry world that got decimated by this horrible, unnecessary mishmash of half-baked ideas that are glued together to make these 3 movies.

Actors are not to be blamed for this clown show, even though my biggest problem with the series is the casting of the 3rd one and replacing THAT ONE member of the cast of 2nd one (The principle of doing it, most of all) Actors gave their best effort given that what they were given to work with was not for making of a great journey.

Please stop ruining our memories... stop all these Reboots, Prequels, Sequels, TV-Spins Harry Potter: Ruined Matrix: Ruined LOTR: It was already ruined with the Hobbit prequel trilogy, Rings of Power no tnq Star Wars: tears in my eyes Batman: oh gawd These are our memories, our past, the youth may enjoy this new era of movies, but we only have so many The Two Towers, Prisoner of Azkaban, Empire Strikes Back, The Crow, etc.

Ok, Wait, Roll Credits
21 February 2022
After the first 5 minutes, I'm thinking "Great setting, all set for the story to start" waiting, waiting (after 80 minutes of NOTHING) Credits At the end I realized that ONE SENTENCE in the first 5 minutes WAS the whole story.

"sometimes I wish I could clone myself. It's the only way I'd get the job done." The rest was just like a random, haphazard and incoherent sequence of sentences jotted down by someone who's probably has not been taking his Ritalin for a looong time.

PS. WHY in seven hells would you throw some random social and political commentary in the script, It's a goddamn "horror movie" Can't we just take a break from all that; not every bs "scientific" idea needs a "political/social" justification.

E is for Exorcist not Evil
16 October 2021
Maybe its some kind of avant-garde approach to making a TV series but its just disgusting how with every new episode multiple subplots are revealed but not followed and forgotten by the next episode; I dare say Season 2 didn't spend 30 mins on THE MAIN PLOT.

Somehow it makes sense, Fox scrapped Exorcist after a brilliant 2nd season, with all that promise and talent, while "Evil" get to drag its feet for a 3rd season.

Emmy: 4 your consideration
11 December 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Flawless. I always thought they could have used Vera more; super interesting character, well on basis of what he says, not much to work with when it comes to his business For me Rick Gonzalez (Vera) was the mvp of this episode which is one of the best episodes of the series which is hard to say because its unprecedented that a multi season (4 for that matter) show does not have one even remotely average episode, Even The Wire had its downs, Got well LMAO IMO this show doesn't need star rating, everything above 8.5 is Great while many of the episodes are above 9 or perfect 10, lets settle and call this series as a whole "incredible" about this episode, Vera ... oooof that puffs of meth and delivery of those lines damn perfect acting of a perfect writing i wont talk about the twist because nothing can be said, i was heart broken at the same time my mind exploded, Eliot's flash-backs with his father.... now different tone and uneasy to re-watch Vera delivered so much quotable lines that I was philosophically engaged too on top of the fear, shock, unrest, sadness; I mean this episode provoked every emotion and feelings that one has. I wanna call it the best episode but I cant, its like every episode is a child of mine i love them 10 star equally because they are
