Too Boring to Watch to End
2 June 2016
I was fooled by what must be fake positive reviews to watch this.

Thankfully I used an online streaming service so I did not waste money only some of my time on this rubbish.

The first few opening minutes were suitably atmospheric and creepy but it very quickly went down hill. The camera work was bad, so bad that most amateurs would be too ashamed to admit to filming it.

Shaky filming and jump cuts were presumably intentional but I just found them jarring and distracting. The scary bits were not scary as by the time they appeared I was bored and almost ready to give up.

I left the film running for a bit to see if it got any better, on seeing no sign of improvement after another ten minutes I gave up and came here to post this review.

If you are thinking about watching this film I would say do not waste your money or your time.

Top Coppers (2015)
derivative
9 September 2015
So this is a parody of 70s and 80s cop shows, I imagine the intent was to be rather like Leslie Nielsen's Police Squad , but it misses that by several miles, the gags are just not as good. I found it to be downright derivative of other, better comedy. The main interest is in remembering in which shows you first saw the plot lines and jokes. I think it was a mistake to mix tropes from both US and UK police series, the styles do not mesh well and it feels like a very jarring mash up of Starsky & Hutch, The Sweeney, Garth Marenghi's Darkplace and Police Squad with elements from Castle, CSI, The Comic Strip Presents, and numerous other shows. The main characters are just annoying but there are some good performances from the guest stars.

Helix is an incredible show
18 January 2014
I saw the pilot episode and thought it was absolute rubbish.

It is incredible - as in totally lacking any credibility, suspension of disbelief is impossible.

I was looking forward to this but after a reasonable first few minutes it went rapidly down hill, I was distracted from the plot by the really stupid things that the characters said and did, professionals would not behave like that. I would be surprised if this show has any scientific advisers, if it does then they are being ignored. There are too many basic scientific errors and the behaviour of the characters is totally implausible, so bad that is is insulting to the intelligence. Do not waste your time with this programme. Avoid it like the plague.

Dangerous lies and misinformation.
20 October 2013
This truly nauseating, slick anti-vaccine rubbish is full of misinformation, pseudoscience, and distortions. It shows some highly dubious cases of people that it is claimed were damaged by vaccines and trots out an array of cranks and charlatans to support those claims. None of are convincing to anyone with an understanding of how vaccines work.

The film is totally cynical scaremongering scientifically illiterate nonsense.

The very real danger is that the film is so slick at appearing to be neutral, that anyone who isn't well-versed in the science behind vaccines could be taken in by this video.

I wonder how many will fall for the lies in this film and how many children will suffer from dangerous diseases that are preventable by vaccination.

The makers of this film should be held legally responsible for any harm caused by parents deciding not to vaccinate after watching it.

Bluestone 42 (2013–2015)

The banter is as spot on as you can get.
10 April 2013
The Sunday Times television critic, A A Gill, likened Bluestone 42 with that of a former BBC, military situation comedy programme, It Ain't Half Hot Mum. If A A Gill thinks that Bluestone 42 is almost "like a remake of "Ain't Half Hot Mum, then I would have to say that he is an idiot, the only thing the two programmes have in common is that they are comedies about members of the armed forces.

The casting ensures sufficient eye candy for both sexes, the South African locations are passable as Afghanistan. The comedy realistically highlights the spirit of the armed forces. It does contain "very" strong language but that and the gallows humour is a true representation of likely banter by those in such front line roles. This is a strong comedy drama deserves a much greater following.

Totally tedious film
10 January 2012
Zero suspension of disbelief. I am glad that I was not the one paying when I saw this. Badly acted, poor effects, totally unconvincing, very boring and derivative of better films. Do not pay to see this rubbish and if you are with people that want to see it make sure you have a decent book to read so that you will not be bored. Seriously I think this very poor film was made to cash in on the like of paranormal activity which were OK, but this film is total dross. Everyone who took part in this production must be seriously embarrassed at any mention of it. I need to add more lines to my review, how many more ways can I say that I think this film is the dregs? It is an uninventive, unoriginal rehash, totally uncreative, unexciting and unimaginative I was unimpressed. Yawn.
