Have a hard time rating this movie
20 December 2019
As a movie it's really hard to rate. My viewing experience is easily a 9/10, brand new IMAX salon with amazing electric seats and the 3D wasn't annoying at all(wonder why they view this in 3D tho, no real effects to be shown).

This movie is the perfect IMAX movie since it's gorgeous to look at, damn this movie looks expensive.

So it was a mixed feeling where the viewing experience is one of the best I've had, but so many annoying plots happening in the movie and way too much copy paste from the other movies, I'm glad the Skywalker saga is over and the last movie was way better than I expected.

So if you have a nice IMAX theatre near you it's almost a must see.

Do not watch this movie in 3D

Warning: Spoilers
So my friends booked the tickets for this movie and for some reason they've booked the 3D-viewing one. It's such a long time ago I saw a movie in 3D at the theatre that I've forgotten how bad 3D really is, especially in this movie which doesn't seems to be made with 3D in mind at all. So if you like zombie movies and decide to see this one, see it in 2D.

My only thoughts after the movie was: what a waste of talent! In my opinion Brad Pitt is an excellent actor and this movie didn't't do him any justice at all. His character is really boring and uninteresting and they could've used any other actor in the entire world instead of Pitt and it would still be as bad of a movie. The other characters are also rather boring and uninteresting and for the most of the time it's just Pitt running away from zombies.

I'm not a big fan of zombie movies so I had literally no other expectations than the fact that this movie will suck, and so it did. So I can not say that I was disappointed, but they could've used another actor since the only reason that I went to see it was the name of Brad Pitt and in that case it would save me 2 hours with a worthless 3d-movie.

And then there's the end(?). They find a way to "hide" from the zombies, basically making them invisible to them. When it was over I said to my friends: "So there'll be a second one?" and they said "no, zombie-movies end like this". So if you don't like zombie-movies you will leave the theatre without a proper conclusion.

Probably the 'best' movie I've ever seen
8 July 2013
So now it's almost 1 year ago I saw this movie for the first time. I like to base my vote after what I thought of the movie the first time I saw it. After I saw TDKR the first(out of four) time in the theatre I was completely speechless. I had very, very high expectations since Batman Begins were my favorite movie at that time and The Dark Knight was also a clear 10 out of 10. I must've had goosebumps pretty much 70% of the movie during my first watch, it was that spectacular. The sad thing with this is that everything I watch nowadays just seems mediocre. Sure, there have been a lot of movies which have been given a lot of high scores on IMDb, and I've pretty much seen every one of them at the theatres. I cannot help but comparing them to TDKR(even tho they're not in the same genre) which leaves me rather disappointed after every visit to the theatres. And yes I know this movie got some plot-holes in it but why should I care about these when I didn't care about them the first time I saw the movie? I'm not a professional critic so it's not my job to tell you how "well" the movie's made.

There's nothing of value, at all..

Warning: Spoilers
I know a lot of friends who really liked this movie and happily I also know some friends that didn't like it at all, just as me. When I first saw it (not in the cinema obviously, knew it would be a waste of money) I thought there at least would be some fun scenes with Tony Stark or some epic fighting-scene, but they never came. So the acting's dull, the fighting-scenes are lame and the music is awful, but the biggest problem of the all must be the lack of tension in this movie. As you watch the movie you'll know exactly how the end's gonna be like and that no important character at all will die.

Usually I'm able to see superhero movies over and over again but I've only seen this movie once and a half, that's how boring it really is.

Thank you Hans Nolan!

Warning: Spoilers
After seeing this movie a second time I didn't really change my mind about my judgment of this movie. I had rather high expectations of this movie since I am a big fan of Nolan and Zimmers work with the Dark knight trilogy. Even though I had too high expectations I didn't get disappointed.

I am no big Superman-fan so I don't really care if it's not the Superman who will never kill another being, no matter what. I really enjoyed the plot but they could've made it a little bit more like Batman Begins, this went too fast in my opinion.

The fighting-scenes were amazing but sometimes it felt like I was watching Transformers 3, which is a movie I do not like. The fights would be even better with no skyscrapers around.

And of course, the music. The movie deserves a 10 out of 10 for Hans Zimmers work with this movie. Could watch this movie over and over again just because of the music.

Will be heading to the theaters again to watch it, but this time in 3D. It's really worth seeing!
