Whenever the posters come before my eyes, I lost in my childhood days in flashback.
I used to watch these cartoons every f**ing day. After school, after the homework, in the morning, holidays, weekends. I have still so much emotion for these cartoon shows.
I have downloaded these series from the internet and I have this on my PC storage (more than 800 GB). Thank God that I have found them and can download them. Thanks a lot to the uploaders as well.
Deewana Mastana (1997)
Two criminals flee and settled in a city where one of them found his love interest, who is a mental doctor. On the other hand, one of her patients is also in love with her. Thus, it becomes a love triangle where one must sacrifice his love. But the question is, who?
Some movies I never delete from my hard drive so that I can watch them anytime I want or whenever I need to change my mood. This movie is in the top 10 list of that. One of the movies, that I watched more than 50 times.
Govinda is a natural actor, he is incomparable in Bollywood. But it is Anil Kapoor's performance that surprised me a lot. I have never seen a comedy movie about Anil before it. His pair with Johnny Lever is just unbelievable. It can't be described how it worked. I love Govinda since Raja Babu. I love Anil as a serious and action actor, since Meri Jung. I love Johnny lever in every film of him. So, when the three come in 1 movie, it likes a jackpot for me. And another thing that makes the combination more enjoyable is the director David Dhawan.
The songs are also very good. Especially, there bina dil lagtan nahin o meri jaan, kya karoon, kya karoon... Tu jonahin, much bhi nahin..., O mummy mummy, o daddy daddy, ho jao ready..., Head ya tail, pyar Mohabbat dil ka khel... The music has a touch of retroness.
Sadly, it didn't recognize what it deserves. A huge huge underrated comedy flick. No less than Andaz Apna Apna I think. Which is also another masterpiece comedy.
Watch it to believe it!
This is a story of a Muslim man, named Ghulam-e Mustafa, who was raised as the right hand of a political mafia boss. He maintains his boss' orders and at the same time his religion. A bar dancer loses her mother and gets involved with him. When both fall in love with each other, an unexpected event shatters everything. Lonely Mustafa leaves his past behind and takes shelter in a Hindu family's home. Only to protect their daughter from evil. Thus situation forces him to take the last job which leads to an unexpected tragedy.
None other than Nana Patekar can do better as Mustafa. He is irreplaceable in some of his movies like Prahaar, Krantiveer, Agni Sakshi, and this one.
The song, tera ghum mera ghum ek jaisa sanam, is very good.
Direction, editing, and writing (despite some mistakes) are very good. Especially the dialogues.
I have watched its advertisement, now we called it a trailer, on various channels of that time in 1997. When I was in class 5. A little boy. From that time to till yesterday, I have seen this movie more than 4-5 times. But yesterday's watch reminds me of one thing about the relationship between the two religious people in India, Hindus, and Muslims. This movie influence people maintaining a good relation with other religion people, especially Hindus and Muslims. On the other hand, there is a movie named The Kashmir Files, which only teach Hindus how to hate Muslims. So you've to decide, on which side you are.
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
The 2021 Spider-Man becomes revealed to everyone so he, Mr. Peter Parker, and his family and friends face fame problem. On the other hand, Spider-Man only faces accusing problems as well. So he goes to Dr. Strange to seek help. Dr. Strange has a spell that may erase the memories about the real identity of the Spider-Man from the people of the world. So Peter Parker may not relate to the Spider-Man. Peter Parker agrees and requests to proceed with the spell. While Mr. Strange spells his magic, Peter Parker requests to exclude his girlfriend from the magic. Then he again requests to exclude his best friend and then again his Aunt May. Thus the spell of Mr. Strange was interrupted which results a bug in his spell. The Super-Villains of the past Spider-Man series' come back to the 2021 world. The 2021 Spider-Man wants to get back their humanity to the Super-Villains so that they lost their powers and be normal people. But Dr. Strange denies it. Thus, the 2021 Spider-Man clashes with Dr. Strange which leads to some unexpected events and the movie story deals only with it.
Since this movie got a great number of viewers and got great ratings so, this movie may define logically. That's why the question 'logical and illogical' comes.
One of the silliest stories in a superhero movie. The director knocks on the door of the writer and he gives a deadline to the writer to write a story which brings all the supervillains of the Spider-Man series and all the Spider-Men in his next spider-man sequel. So the writer does it. He make his desired story and put it in this movie. What a silly idea!
What an interesting wrong spell of Dr. Strange. He was trying to scratch some of the memories of the people of the world, but it reforms the Spider-Man's super-villains only, nothing matters with the memory errors. I mean, his wrong spell may spoil the people's memories about spider-man, not re-welcoming the super-villains only. What a coincidence! This type of coincidence only happens in Bollywood.
Ned's spell doesn't bring the last, the most recent, and the most relevant spider-man but the older ones.
The older spider-men come to the world of 2021 but they both were not very surprised by entering through the fire circles. They become familiar with Ned and MJ very quickly.
The older spider-men recall their tragedies and become emotional. If they come from their present universe, so how do the villains come from the past universe?
All three spider-man has their aunt Maries, uncles Bens, MJs. What logic! I'm recalling these characters because this movie has shown us that the previous spider-man movies aren't the same. They are different. If they are different so why their character names are same?
The 2021 Spider-Man tries to show his human characteristic to the viewers he even clashes with one of his co-super-heroes, one of his fellow friends (as they both are the staff of the Marvel cinematic universe). So how does he becomes great if he clashes with another superhero who holds the same responsibility to the human as he does?
I never knew that Spider-Man is also a scientist. He can invent chemicals that destroy the villainous powers of the villains. Which they used at the last moment of the movie in a syringe pushing into the necks of the villains.
I have seen the villains wait until the conversation ends in some scenes. One villain with one spider-man. (When the 2021 Spider-Man fights with the Green Goblin, the other two spider-men were enjoying the fight.)
I don't know why the Statue of Liberty had a renovation in this movie. As if, it would be helpful to ride it and to fight with the villains for Spider-Men. Like this, the writer adds his desired modification in many logic to fit his script.
The all spider-men vs the all spider-men villains. Nothing new here. (Except the 2021 Spider-Man villains.) I was expecting a new one though. So when I found it not, I was frustrated.
If Doctor Strange has the power to bring back the dead villains, why 2021 Spider-Man didn't request him to bring back his dead aunt? Or undo her death incident?
Maybe I didn't understand this movie. Maybe this movie has a broad story and message which flew away over my head.
Overall, for entertainment reasons it is okay but in fact, this movie is very overrated. Rating 6 means fair, 7 means good, 8 means great. This movie is rated 8+ which means it is great. But it is not. In terms of rating, it is fair. But I hated it. The whole movie doesn't make any sense. The story is very silly. This superhero movie doesn't deal with those supervillains who are a threat to humanity. Rather, it deals with the over-acting of the newest Spider-Man who invites the clash between him and the villains denying his fellow Doctor Strange. Those villains had already faced their consequences, so how does he want to reform them? Very tried to glorify this Spider-Man more than the previous ones. What a silliness! Illogicness has its limit! Just I need all spider-men and all his villains in one movie, I need to make a script of my imagination and the people will watch it clapping wow wow.
The Godfather (1972)
The movie starts with a wedding ceremony where the father of the bride is the boss of an organized crime syndicate. His elder son takes the whole control of his place when he was attacked to near death. The situation forced the younger son to take the whole control while he was not interested in his family business. Thus, the movie deals with how the youngest son transforms from a good guy to a ruthless mafia kingpin.
Umm, I don't have to tell more about this movie, as thousands of people in the world who are great in movie reviewing, are already reviewed it. So, nothing new to tell more.
The thing is, this movie is considered an all-time masterpiece in history. I would like to focus which I liked in this movie.
Marlon Brando, is the aging father, The Godfather in this movie. Whose performance is one of the things which made this movie great.
Al Pacino, is the youngest son, also did great performance which nominates him the Best Supporting Actor Academic Award. But he refused to attend it as he thought he deserved a nomination for Best Actor category. Since this movie centered him. And also he had the most screen time. Whereas, Marlon Brando got the Best Actor award for his almost brief role. I think, it is justified, as the first impression is the last impression. Marlon Brando is the first impression of this movie. He is the life of this movie and Al Pacino is one of the parts of the body. But in fact, Al Pacino is the hero of this movie.
I liked the music, which was also nominated for the Best Score award but cancelled its nomination at the last moment when it was discovered that the score was originally used in another movie first, which is Charlie Chaplin's Limelight.
The director of this movie is Francis Ford Coppola. I wonder, how he directs the movie? He was just 32-33 year old when the movie was made. A 31-32 year old young man directs this masterpiece movie. And finished it in 62 days of shooting. This is amazing. Being a 33 year one now, I really wonder how he directs the movie in this small age? Such a matured movie. Though, it was first offered to director, one of my favorite directors, the director of The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, Sergio Leone. Later he regrets his decision.
This movie is the finest example of an ideal writing and editing. Without these, this movie is nothing, despite having good casts and direction.
I enjoyed the movie a lot. I believe almost everyone will enjoy it. Despite a long movie, long 3 hours.
Don't watch it with the family.
Lady in a Cage (1964)
A wealthy mother, with a broken hip, walks with support, has a private elevator in the house, goodbyes her beloved son on a 4th July weekend holiday. The woman was trapped in the elevator while she was about to go upstairs. Thus she tried everything to get emergency notice. But she failed to do that. On the other hand, two groups of psychopaths break into the house knowing that the house is full of expensive things and the owner is trapped in the elevator. After so many unexpected incidents, the mother comes to know that her son left a letter for her when he left home. When the letter is read in front of her, she breaks into tears. Now, how she was rescued and what was written in the letter are the questions, you've to find the answer watching it.
I, normally, watch old movies by recommendation. Recommended by some IMDB users. Now I am searching for the person who recommends it. I regret I watch it. It wasted my time. There is nothing in this movie except the beautiful mother and the way she shows her bb.. okay let the review be polite. Though she is older than my great-grandmother. The actress lived 104 years.
When I look at the actors I found it's Sonny of The Godfather movie who is a villain in this movie. I can't recognize him? 'Cause he was too young then.
It's like some other movies like Funny Games, Deliverance, which are also the worst movies.
Better watch better movies, not this one. Recommended 10%.
Three gunmen, one is, "The Bad", looking for the man who buried gold in a secret place, one is, "The Ugly", who knows the name of the place, a cemetery, and one is, "The Good", who knows the name of the grave where the golds are buried. Now all these three gunmen must reach the cemetery to get the gold in the midst of the Civil War.
The genres are, Action, Adventure, Comedy, War, Western.
The three gunmen are, Clint Eastwood, The Good, unnamed but called as Blondie, a bounty hunter. Eli Wallach, The Ugly, named Tuco, a wanted criminal. Lee Van Cleef, The Bad, a contract killer, hitman, assassinator, unnamed but called as Angel Eyes.
This movie seems so interesting from the very first scene. But this scene will tighten the viewers with their seat. Which scene? When Tuco and Blondie discover a horse carriage loaded with dead bodies.
Lee Van Cleef survived 64 years, died in 1989. Eli Wallach survived 99 years, died in 2014. Clint Eastwood, still alive, age 92 (2022). The genius director and writer Sergio Leone survived 60 years, died in 1989. The musician Ennio Morricone survived 92 years, died in 2020.
I mentioned these information because I made a little thesis about the most important characters & crews in this movie. I read the trivia, the goofs everything. Because which movie I liked, I read about them. I mentioned Ennio Morricone, the background scorer of this movie, cause he is one of the most important person who make this movie great. His music makes this movie more enjoyable and more interesting.
The character, Blondie, the good, is the hero of this movie, top billed fastest gun fighter. Whereas Tuco, the ugly, the funniest character and at the same time so dangerous, has the most screentime. But I liked the character "the bad" by Angel Eyes most. 'Cause I liked his personality most, mostly the way his face is, solid face.
Overall, one of the most enjoyable films I have ever watched. One of the most stylish movies in the world. More than greatest cinematography and background score made the movie a finest cinema in history. Visually stunning for the costumes, the location, the war, the cemetery (which will make you say, wow).
Watchable with the whole family. Can be rewatch again and again. Watch it to believe it.
Shichinin no samurai (1954)
A remote village is attacked by a team of ruthless bandits. They can't resist the bandits robbing their everything. So, they look for Samurais who can fight with the bandits in exchange for food and shelter. Thus they find a group of unemployed Samurai who agree to take the challenge to defeat the bandits in any way.
One of the masterpieces from director Akira Kurosawa. A prominent director in the history of cinema. Though, many find this movie his best, but I don't think so.
I liked the cinematography very much, the dialogues, the leads, especially Takashi Shimura and Toshirô Mifune. I liked the madness of Kikuchiyo. I liked the leadership of Kambei Shimada. I liked the way he plans to attack the bandits. I cried when the youngest Samurai cries in the rain and burst to take revenge for the death of Kyuzo, the bravest Samurai. I become sad when Kikuchiyo revenges the death of his fellow Samurai and welcomes his own death. I liked the way the rain wash out the entire helplessness of the villagers. I liked the direction which is an example for the whole world. I liked the last dialogue: "The farmers have won. Not us."
Watching this movie is a great experience, in fact. Recommended 90%.
The Invisible Man (1933)
A stranger visits a pub on a snowy night. Everybody has a very keen interest in the stranger and the way his outfits are. But nobody knows his intentions. Nobody believes their own eyes. Thus, the whole city is after him.
One of the movies which I enjoyed so much watching every seconds of it. Such an ancient movie but it holds the its passion even in 2022. HG Wells was a true genius. I wonder how advanced his intellectual. I wonder how he way this movie done in 1933 with century old technologies. Brilliant. Recommended 85%.
The Big Heat (1953)
The Hot Tea
A homicide police officer gets involve personally in a crime syndicate which is a tough riddle to solve.
Glenn Ford, I become fan of him. The movie starts with a suicide and again it starts when the sergeant loses his beloved one. Then it turns into more personal than professional. A revenge crime drama.
Though this movie deserves rating 8. The start and the first two third are so much promising, but it ends abruptly so... But a very very enjoyable flick. Recommended 80%.
Cash on Demand (1961)
An insurance investigator visits a bank to inspect it's security systems and if the operation is going correctly. But the investigator reveals his real identity only to the bank manager.
One of the best movies of my list. Tightest writing ever. I even can't my eyes blink for a moment watching the whole movie at once. Thriller at its best.
I never watched Peter Cushing movies ever before. His performance makes you believe perfect acting exists. He is just, I can't explain. And Andre Morell, the villain, is just unbelievable.
It's an example of how a perfect movie, almost perfect though, can be made in a limited cast, limited set, and most of all on a low budget. An example of script writing.
Awara Paagal Deewana (2002)
One of the hilarious flicks in Bollywood. Especially the performance of Paresh Rawal and Johnny Lever. Akshay Kumar and Sunil Shetty duo is also worked here. Heroines were swapped. And the mask. What a non-s... okay let me clear.
Just remember one thing, before watching this movie, take a tablet that turns off your brain's part that seeks logic. That's all. You'll enjoy it. If you forgot to take the tablet, then it's the worst movie ever, which has many illogical elements.
The Innocents (1961)
Just The Name
A young governess sent to a village of England when she has two children, who are siblings, to care for. There she discovers the past governess has a dark secret which must not affect the children.
Very atmospheric horror and mystery. Party thriller.
I watched it alone at the late night, so I enjoyed it a lot. But the ending discourage me to rate it high.
The young boy, Miles, sadly dies without a reason, while he dies closing his eyes but when Miss Giddens holds him on her lap, he was opened eye. Just it manages similarity to the eyes of Peter Quint when he was died. But what about Flora? It was not answered.
Call Northside 777 (1948)
A deadly crime occurred where a policeman was shot to death. The criminal is convicted and punished very soon after the crime. 10 years later a newspaper ad announce USD 500 to catch the real killer of that incident. This takes the attention of a journalist and he believes he can solve it, not for the reward, but for justice.
I enjoyed the whole movie. I really really love James Stewart, I am a fan of him. I love Lee J. Cobb. They both nailed it. Especially James Stewart.
Watch it to believe it.
Spoiler alert!!!!!!! I almost loved the episode until the use of gun. The gun is also a mechanical object which should also be disabled like cars, machines etc. Spoiler ends!!!!!!!
I loved the base, as it deals with human's inner instinctions. They don't need a third party to destroy them. They themselves are enough.
What about the aliens! Watch it!
Brief Encounter (1945)
The Long Encounter
The encounter indicated by the title of the movie, Brief Encounter, is actually not a brief one, it's a long encounter. They meet on more than 5 Thursdays. So how could it be a brief encounter?
Laura, the protagonist, has her family, married for almost 10 years. Having 2 children. Having a caring husband, she still falls in love with a stranger. How funny. Not funny actually, how ridiculous! Not only fall in love, but they also pass the intimate time with each other. They kissed each other many times, even they tried to become more intimate while getting a chance of an empty flat.
One of the most unfaithful wives.
Not only this, his love interest, the stranger was also a married man with two children. Thus, both are very unfaithful to their life partners.
Having a married life means you've some restrictions you must have to maintain. This movie, by the way, promotes unfaithfulness in marriage.
Otherwise, The movie is good. Very talkative and background talking a lot. Just talking and railway platforms all over the movie.
The ending is like that if you can't pass more times with your illegal relationship, just come back to your husband, as you have no choice. As your illegal partner is no more available.
So it stands, if Alec doesn't leave for abroad, they would remain in their illegal relationship long with more and more lies to their legal partners, husband, wife, children.
I don't recommend adultery with another one while being a married person.
To be honest, the movie-making was very good. I liked the use of lighting and shadows all over the movie. Those who will watch this movie must notice this. Besides this, the ending is just very abrupt and meaningless.
So save your time from this.
The Time Machine (1960)
The New World (The Imagination)
A scientist invents the machine, called the time machine, which can drive the passenger to either the past or future. Which his friends don't believe and leave him alone. Thus he passionately drives the machine to the utmost future where a new world is found.
Adventure at its best. Sci-fi at its best. Romance, action. These are the genres of this movie. Taken from a very popular book in the same name by H. G Wells. I didn't read the book but enjoyed the movie until the beginning of the new world. Yes, I didn't like the theory, "New World". Because it's baseless and illogical. By the way, I would not like to say more so it may spoil the story. Otherwise, the story is just fun and mediocre, which is enjoyable at the same time.
A bit overrated. Recommended 60%.
Naseeb Apna Apna (1986)
A father forced his son to marry a village girl. When the newly wed couple arrive a city, the husband left his new wife alone in the railway platform. A man brings her his home as a maid where she found her husband is already married to a city woman, where she is a maid.
A very melodramatic movie, Overall I loved the movie. It's very nostalgic movie for me as when I was a little boy we have its video cassette in our house. So I sometimes watched this movie on our VCR set.
I liked the way Radhika acted. She is really very beautiful but portrait as a ugly girl. Farha Naaz is also very beautiful. I loved Amrish Puri, he is a pure genius as a rude father role. His friendship with Satyendra Kapoor was a example of a friendship. I loved Rakesh Bedi very much. His comedy added salt in this movie. Rishi Kapoor is my favorite always. Overall, a classic husband wife relationship movie. Recommended 80%, despite lower rating and so many coincidences. Because, coincidences were common in every Hindi movie. So don't mind the negatives, enjoy it with the family.
Die Brücke (1959)
It's 27 April 1945, the incident isn't recorded in any military file.
A group of school going teenagers, who have their own backgrounds, join army to fight the Americans in the battlefield to protect their fatherland, Germany, as its Fuhrer's order.
The ending, I was about to cry. The first half is about the boys, and the second half is about the war. Every boy has his own story. Everyone left their family behind to excitedly join the war. But the question is, whether they will reach to war or the war reach to them?
One of the best movies of mine. Very emotional ending. I loved the action very much. Very good direction, writing, and cinematography.
A perfect movie for all war movie lovers.
The Window (1949)
The Abandoned Building
A boy of 9 makes imaginary stories to everyone near him. Thus nobody takes his story seriously, even his parents as well. One night when he was trying to sleep on their upstairs fire exit, he witnesses a murder. He tells it to his parents, even to the police, nobody believes him, but the murderers must believe him.
I loved the boy, when I come to know the boy died very early, at the age of 31, I becomes sad. Everyone, who will watch this movie, will love the boy. His acting was just very perfect. Every other one also acted very well. It's a very good movie. Thriller at its best. Recommended 70%.
L'assassin habite... au 21 (1942)
The Wrong Man?
A serial killer is leaving his Id beside every dead body he kills. The people of the city is panicked. Then the investigator becomes confirm that the killer is living in a lodge which is at 21. Several dwellers are suspicious and interrogated but every time the wrong man comes.
French comedy, crime, mystery. The language is unknown, so the subtitles are the main medium to understand what is happening.
The entire movie deserves rating 6 but I rated 8 only for the concept on the killer. The twist was uncommon, that's why I liked it. As the saying, all well that ends well.
The Third Secret (1964)
A psychiatrist shot himself to death leaving his daughter alone. One of his ex-patients and his daughter are after the truth behind his death.
One of the slowest movies ever. Otherwise could have been better. There is a twist at the very end. A deep secret to un unfolded.
By the way, the daughter, Pamela Franklin is really very beautiful.
Pitch Black (2000)
A group of space crews abandoned on a planet where everything has been doomed by an unknown force. Thus they come to know the force is not other than the creatures which attack only in the dark. They must deal with the eclipse in the three suns planet.
The first half builds the story, the second half implement the elements. So the slower first half is less important than the slow second half. Overall, a slow sci-fi as well as an action movie with some thriller moments. Not great as I expected.
Vin Diesel is good. The Muslim group is also very good. The leading lady is good. The direction, cinematography, editing, background scores are good. Overall, a moody environmental movie but not unforgettable in any way.
Looking forward to watching the sequels.
The Breakfast Club (1985)
The Lunch Club
Five students from the same school but different classes gathered on a Saturday to ensure their detention, as they may have broken school rules. Thus they spend time together unwillingly but gradually they come to know they have many things in common. Which changes their life forever.
It's a dialogue-driven movie. Some background songs are there where the school was empty and silent, they dance with the background music. This makes no sense.
This movie proves that there is no friendship between a boy and a girl, either they love each other or not. That is, they may be lovers, but not friends.
!!! Spoiler ahead...
(The two pairs kissed each other in front of their parents. This is weird. The parents wait until their kiss is over so that they come to pick them up in the car.
Their first meeting changes their life altogether. But what about the other 8 Saturdays of John?
In the last scene, it seems John is not going, he is coming back to the school.)
Writing, dialogues, the acting performance of the 5 students, great. Direction, mediocre.
I must say, it's very overrated. Recommended 50%.
By the way, they lunch together, not breakfast. ;-)
Minnal Murali (2021)
Two villagers were coincidentally hit by historical important thunderbolts of lightning. They both got supernatural powers after the incident. Both are general villagers who use their superpower in their own way which brings dangerous chaos to the village.
The story, until the climax, is very good and compelling. If it would have been a tv serial it would be great, but it's a movie that has a hurried ending. The story can be dragged to many situations but the climax comes so fast.
The direction was not mature enough, seems inexperienced. The writing is good. The cinematography is good. The location is good. The acting of the leads is very very good. Overall a worthy watch.
A movie is made to entertain its viewers. In sum, I was entertained by this movie. Recommended 75%.
Rating 8 means a great one. But this movie isn't great. 7 is justified.
Pushpa: The Rise - Part 1 (2021)
A truck driver cum laborer becomes a partner in an illegal export syndicate by his egoistic manners and clever ideas to pass the product through the tight security of the Govt. Thus he rises, but the question is, how long he can hold the place?
Those who watched KGF - Part 1, will find similarities in name, in the story, in rising in these two films. I didn't find any difference indeed.
The rating 7 is justified for this movie. 6 also be a perfect one. As it is forcefully dragged to a sequel. Unnecessary songs, and some unnecessary action sequences, God-like hero, a typical south Indian element. The first song, the location, Allu Arjun's acting are only the good ones.
A typical commercial cum masala movie, nothing else, nothing special. Blockbuster only for overrating and overhyped.
