Wasn't sure about the show for the first few minutes-seemed like it might be hokey but I'm glad we persevered and watched it further. Really great storyline, loved the characters and the comedic relief throughout and it had great scenery to boot. Really enjoyed this.

Lots of plot twists that keep you guessing but not overly taxing watchers to keep up with the plots. Some fine performances and believeable characters and the writer adds in background on main characters to add depth to the story. The only reason I gave 7 stars is the introduction of the two assassins. Their characters are outlandish and ridiculously unbelievable and they detract from the story. Every scene they are in we had to shake our heads and ask "why"?

Great series and some really great acting

Really enjoyed this series and just finished the fourth season which I hard to say was my favorite. It was a bit different than the first 3 seasons with the mix of Purgatory western moments, Casablanca style scenes, Hitchcock's Rear Window-esque apartment shots and an impromptu musical thrown in just for fun. In any other show it wouldn't have worked but the director did an excellent shot of weaving everything together and it just worked magic. The story line was very of the moment and should hopefully wake people up. We loved it and it was a great way to end the series-highly recommend.

We haven't watched this movie before and it has been out for 15 years. It seemed a tad too cartoonish in the first few minutes so we gave up on it when we first tried to watch many years ago. I am glad we gave it another view tonight-it could be a movie about the events happening today and so very realistic it is frightening.
It has a good storyline and the acting is well done. More importantly is the message it carries and we should all take that message seriously if we don't want to end up living in a country governed by martial law, fear and loss of freedom.

We had no idea this was based on a true story until the end, which made the story that much more heartwarming. There is some tough scenes that may be hard for some people to watch, but it is definitely worth a watch.
It is a classic tale of overcoming massive obstacles to make a better life for yourself and your family with a twist. Thoroughly enjoyed this!

Great thriller, but it's not Agatha Christie

AC is my favorite writer/story teller, so I was wondering whether to rate this mini series based on its merits or the fact they used AC to sell this show.
We found it an entertaining murder mystery but other than the slightest hint of Hercule there is no resemblance whatsoever to the original storyline.
It would likely have been reviewed higher by others but hey-dont mess with die hard Agatha Christie fans! It's worth a watch-well filmed and acted-but it's not Agatha and shame on those who used her name to peddle this.

I have to admit that when we first started watching the show we felt the same as the people who gave this a one star. As one reviewer lamented-they tell you who dunnit right at the beginning. We persevered however and found there was a reason they took the "mystery"out of the mystery is because it allows you to focus on the "never saw it coming" that follows. This is not the mystery thriller that unfortunately the write up leads one to believe, but rather a dark comedy that you quickly realize once you get past Eric's part in the movie. This was so much more enjoyable once we realized this was just a crazy wild ride of how things can go so terribly wrong. "Nuff said, try it you just might like it.
For the record, we are movie watchers who have been around since the 50's, don't go in for dead pool, zombies and all that stuff that passes for entertainment these days. This was clearly a low budget movie, but we found it entertaining

I have to say when we started watching this I saw where the low review came from ( lol-there are only two here at the time). We persevered because we thought how much badder can this be? It quickly became apparent this was not a mystery drama but a black comedy and it suddenly was so much more enjoyable.
Glad we stuck it out, very entertaining.
