Stranger Things: Chapter One: Suzie, Do You Copy? (2019)
Focuses Too Much on Bland Shipping
Nearly everyone has to be in a relationship or is looking for romance. This in itself isn't that bad, but when it's done poorly, isn't interesting, and feels like it takes up the majority of a sci-fi horror show's run time, then it becomes a problem.
When did Stranger Things become a soap opera?
Love, Death & Robots: Beyond the Aquila Rift (2019)
The Ending is Paramount
This short is amazing. The story is so good and surreal, and the visuals are stunning and realistic. The start was cool, the middle was just okay, but I can't get over the awesome ending! It's just so good and imaginative! Love the concept!
Detroit: Become Human (2018)
Three Amazing and Emotional Stories in One
This game is very well put together both in it's stunning and beautiful presentation, as well as it's gripping storylines. This game has a cool and brilliantly written interweaving story, with a ton of choices and endings. It's 3 main protagonists are all interesting and unique. The game is long and really gives you a chance to bond with all three of them to give you more of a connection to them and understand their story that is put into your hands to choose how they go about reaching their goals and if they can accomplish them or not. As well as how the public and those around you respond to those choices in turn.
The only negative I would give to this near perfect game, is the overly excessive cussing. I wouldn't really care, if it wasn't done to such a needless extent. That's it though. The rest is amazing.
Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor (2013)
Happy Fiftieth Anniversary Doctor Who
Don't worry. Spoiler free. Just spreading the praise of this great episode.
This is my new favorite Doctor Who episode. It was awesome! It has multiple Doctors. Including the return of the amazing David Tennant! Along with all the old quotes and nice references. It was great! Terrific scrip and dialog. The story was packed with humor which is what I enjoyed most from it. There was also the nice "timey whimey" fun stuff. This episode was an amazing way to do their fiftieth anniversary. What more could we want from this celebration episode? It was just pure humor and science fiction entertainment.
Defiance: The Opposite of Hallelujah (2014)
Back To "Paradise"
I liked the premier. It has action and all this interesting stuff going on with the town with the E rep. Also a bit of the continued cult mystery with Irisa. It's definitely setting up for a good season. Warning tho: This episode is really mature. Has violence, brutal bloody bit, drugs and hands. Not for kids to watch!! I don't get why they put the hands in there. It shouldn't be necessary, but they did anyway.
Also extra bit. Video game to TV cross over with Varus. So if you don't play the game you won't know about him and Nolan. Anyway, Varus looked weird but I suppose that's what happens when you take a virtual Votan to real life. However, it was still nice to get a glimpse of him.
State of Emergency (2011)
More like State Of Waiting
This movie is basically what I would think normal people would do in the event of a zombie apocalypse. Which is really just stay inside, barricade yourself, and wait for rescue. The movie sorta centers on daily living of four people. It isn't very action centered. Just them waiting and such. So if you're wanting a massive zombie, action, horror, this probably isn't the movie for you. In my opinion the main character I found a bit slow. Mostly because he had long pauses before he would speak. It doesn't really matter but the fact stuck with me. It was even more apparent the longer the movie went. Overall I didn't love this movie but I didn't hate it either. It was just okay. Probably similar to what I would do in their situation. Which is why it wasn't amazing. Do to lack of action. But it was good considering. As long as you didn't come for a ton of action it's a fine film.
She Said Lenny (2010)
Short and Sweet
"She Said Lenny" was beautifully written by one of it's own actresses, Kate Hewlett. It is a 6 minute short, and even in its small amount of time it gives a real meaning to love. I can't really say much more on it because of how short it is. Anything said would basically give any spoilers away. Personally, I watched and listened to this before several times and it's still sweet even re watched. I like it because of its message of love and expectations. It's simple concept and kind story and dialogue. If you have a spare time for a sweet story of love, you probably won't be disappointed. Besides it's only a few minutes long. Why not try to watch it?
