There are many reviews that suggest this is a masterpiece and many that suggest it is Comparable to human fecal matter. Contrary to these very strong opinions the sandman is neither.

One thing I will agree on with some of the other reviews is that it is very much a series of two halves. The first half is dark and brooding which made for a gripping 4-5 episodes and then a satisfying resolution at episode 6.

Then a second is an entirely new an weaker story, not without its merits but due to the expectations set by the first half it's is somewhat jarring.

Give it a go but don't expect it to make all your dreams come true.

This is not a laugh out load comedy, it's a smirker but you will find yourself smirking all the way through. Fly on the wall perspective into the exaggerated lives of two actors living out lockdown. Genius in its simplicity, but certainly not for your run of the mill comedy view, the only cheap gags found here are for ironic effect.

Look this isn't a master class of comedy, but see it for what it is, a parody of summer camp films cliche and just enjoy it

I'm not gunna give this a 1 or 2 like others would just cause it's a cash grab. The reality is that this is a scene for scene remake of the original therefore if the original was good this is good. I gave it a 6 because whilst I enjoyed watching it I will never choose to watch this over the original. It's just not as good, the cartoons are better than the CGI, the voice acting in the original is better in the old than the new and aside from some minor scrip improvements this film is just an average remake of a masterpiece.

So I just finished watching this on Netflix and have to say I am greatly disappointed. After doing a little research I can see why, obviously the version available on Netflix is the worse possible version to watch as it is neither the original or the US version. It is in fact an American dubbed version where not only is the script terrible for the dubbing but the voice acting is equally as bad. It's frustrating because the animation itself is impressive but honestly if you were thinking of giving this film a go don't watch it on Netflix you would be better off watching the original with English subtitles.

I appreciate that some may find this funny and it had its moments but I'm afraid this type of comedy is not for me. Unfortunately I can't laugh at the awkwardness I just feel equally as awkward and it hurts... so much.
