I am a 44 year old man child from (Hans-Christian Andersens fairy tale-country) Denmark :-)
Since July 2013 I have rated more than 4700 movies and tv-series. I'm such a nerd ;-)
(I do it for my own sake. I have a bad memory, but I don't want to watch the same boring film twice).
I don't know if I am unlucky, evil or too picky. From 2013 to 2023 I gave 1 star to 14 movies, 2 to 154, 3 to 253, 4 to 448, 5 to 1126, 6 to 1617, 7 to 822, 8 to 203, 9 to 63 and 10 to 14 others.
My 20 favorite movies are:
1. Little Big Man (1970)
2. Brewster's Millions (1985)
3. The Shawshank Redemption (1994)
4. The Green Mile (1999)
5. Forrest Gump (1994)
6. Groundhog Day (1993)
7. Far laver sovsen (1967)
8. Beyond the Law (1993)
9. Rocking Silver (1983)
10. Animal House (1978)
11. Revenge of the Nerds (1984)
12. Kingpin (1996)
13. An American Werewolf in London (1981)
14. European Vacation (1985)
15. Midt om natten (1984)
16. Stripes (1981)
17. Stir Crazy (1980)
18. The Ten Commandments
19. Fright Night (1985)
20. Convoy (1978

The Viking - Downfall of a Drug Lord (2022)
Funny picture of Lars Irgens Petersen!
No one has ever bullied him. He was the bully!
I have known him all my life and kept my distance too him.
Most 40-55 year olds in our hometown know who he is and many was afraid of him!
Unfortunately 25 years ago my friends and I were criminals :(
We did not dare too work with him!
He was dangerous (violent) and too open-mouthed.
He really did drive around with 2-3 bags of money in a brand new Mercedes - I have seen them!
Tomrum (2019)
I have never seen worse Danish acting.
All three actresses sounded as if they were reading aloud.
Dreamcatcher (2003)
Another amazing story from the master ruined!
I just read the book and was stupid enough to watch the movie afterwards.
It was so bad I got annoyed within the first twenty minutes and almost angry after an hour.
The screenplay writers and the director should be ashamed!
The Hungover Games (2014)
Happy new year.
I hope this will be the worst thing I wasted twenty minutes on this year.
I rated 4421movies og series. This is my 12' "one star".
Pet Sematary (2019)
One would think Stephen King had made more money than he could spend.
I do not understand why, he has allowed this crap.
The book was good and the first movie was ok.
Even Pet Sematary II, which seemed like a comedy, was better this.
I watched 40-50 minutes before I got too irritated.
Impractical Jokers (2011)
This is one of the funniest programs I've seen
But after all these years they are so famous (in Europe too) that it must now be partly acting.
Head Full of Honey (2018)
The movie was only a 5
But Nick Nolte's best acting ever pulled it up to a 7.
The Big Show Show (2020)
It could probably have been good.
I'll never know.
I really really HATE canned laughter!
I watched 5-10 minutes (to much) and I'm definitely not going to give it another chance.
The Dead Zone (2002)
It was OK but
The intro annoys me:
"I had the perfect life until I was in a coma for 6 years. And then I woke up and found my fiance married to another man. My son doesn't know who I am".
Which son?
According to the book they did not have sex until after the coma which he was "only in for 4,5 years.
As I'm writting this I'm watching the last episode of the first season (Aw man, I will soon have to get up to switch dvd ...).
The pilot was surprisingly true to the book and the last episode was inspired by it, but the only thing the episodes in between had in common with King's novel was Johnny
In these Corona times, I read the book last week (and got disappointed with the movie).
I started on the series yesterday and will probably watch it all before I'm allowed to go back to work.
It's kind of funny to see Rusty Griswold / Brian Johnson as an adult.
I don't remember seeing him since Edward Scissorhands (1990) :-)
21 Jump Street (1987)
21 Jump Street
This is the best non-Danish television series I've seen (you know, most people prefer their native tongue ...), but I think "they" should have killed it when Hanson/Depp left.
In 1989, at the age of 11, I started learning English from watching The Simpsons, Married With Children and 21 Jump Street on Sky One.
After all these years Homer Simpson, Al Bundy and of course Doug Penhall are still my favorite TV personalities :-)
Holmes & Watson (2018)
I smiled a few seconds ...
Because I turned my head and looked at my budgies.
I like both Will Ferrel and John Reilly, but describing this movie is most easily done with a quote from my childhood hero, Butthead:
- This sucks more than anything that's ever sucked before!
Vinterbrødre (2017)
Don't waste your time on this
I took it off after thirty minutes, that felt like an hour.
Both the sound, the acting and the story it self suck.
There are so many good Danish movies. Watch one of them Instead.
The Will (2014)
Money laundry
This movie was not made to make money, but to wash dirty money clean!
Most of the extras were members of Bandidos MC Denmark.
The producer, Theodor Goldman's (Red & Gold, you get it ..?) real name is Arash Hamedani. He was president of a chapter for many years, but as far as I know he is out in bad standing.
Det perfekte kup (2008)
What a waste of time
I've rated 3998 movies and given one star to ten of them.
This is the worst I have ever seen!
Journal 64 (2018)
It's kinda funny ...
The last 7-8 days I have read Journal 64, Fasandræberne
(The Absent One) and Flaskepost Fra P (A Conspiracy of Faith) and I saw all 4 Department Q movies.
They were seven such different stories that the producers could have saved the money to the original author, Jussi Adler-Olsen, and called the movies something else.
I'm happy to say that the next movie will be produced by Nordisk Film with Ulrik Thomsen as Carl Mørk :-)
Fasandræberne (2014)
The author hates the movie and I understand him.
I read the book earlier this week and just watched the movie. I could only recognize about one percent of it!
I'll bet none of those who likes this movie has read the book.
Catch and Release (2006)
I love Kevin Smith, but ...
But this is the most boring movie I've seen (some of) this year.
I only stod about 30 minutes.
The Revenant (2015)
The Revenant is the longest death scene I've ever seen!
Two and a half hours have not felt so long since I went to school more than twenty years ago!
There are some beautiful pictures in the movie, but it's really boring.
Halfway I thought he finally died and I started to cheer. Unfortunately he was just dreaming ...
Sons of Anarchy (2008)
It really sucks ....
This is the most ridiculous and unrealistic series I have ever seen.
I don't understand how I got through almost 2.5 season.
The instructor is living up to his name. In Danish Sutter means sucking/sucks. Kim sure does suck ...
Nordkraft (2005)
If you've read the book, you will hate the movie!
It looks like Ole Christian Madsen has ripped Jakob Ejersbo's masterpiece into a 1000 pieces and then putet them randomly back together.
He left out many important parts and added others.
The only two actors who lived up to the descriptions from the book was Steso (Thure Lindhardt) and his father (Lars Mikkelsen). They were both awesome.
I can't believe that Ejersbo (1968-2008) was pleased with the film.
Nerve (2016)
I'm old!
If you're forty like me you're (probably) too old for this movie ...
When I played Truth or Dare, it was more like kiss her/him or eat "this". This film is just strange (or I have to refer to the heading).
Mary Magdalene (2018)
A big disappointment
This is not a movie for people who know the Bible. It was filled with errors and a lot of important things were left out.
Now I understand why it's not in Danish cinemas!
I had to take a ferry to Sweden to see it (It's only a twenty-minute trip). At least I had a nice day ...
Pizza King (1999)
Surprisingly good
The film takes place in Nørrebro, a infamous neighborhood in Copenhagen, where there are often problems with gangs, Hells Angels and other criminals. A lot of the citizens are unemployed, alcoholics, drug users or immigrants. The movie takes place in the nineties, but could just as well have taken place today. We meet four small-time criminal friends with very different dreams for the future. Zuzu want to be actor. Bobby want to be a real gangster. Junes want to start over as a legit, and Fauzi want to be a cop!
In a random burglary Bobby and Junes find a suitcase with 25 kg of hashish in it. It is worth a million Danish kroner (150,000$). Of course, they steal it, but they steal from the wrong men ...
I'm not a fan of Ole Christian Madsen, the man who totally destroyed Jakob Ejersbo's fantastic book Nordkraft. I think most of his movie sucks, but along with Janus Nabil Bakrawi he has written a good story and turned it into a good movie with a lot of talented actors. (I rated it 7). Janus Nabil Bakrawi, Ali Kazim and Farshad Kholghi had their breakthrough in this movie. They are all still actors, but today Kholghi is best known as a social commentator.
