A failure in all respects
10 April 2023
The goal that I understood from this series was for Paul Pogba to come off as "just another average joe" & "likeable". This goal failed so laughably in all aspects. What the series displayed is a narcissist that has more money than I will see in a lifetime. A beautiful wife, a family that loves Paul, a mansion to spend his days in with immaculate outfits. Many scenes in this series are shown with Paul spending his vacation time in Florida. Insults are thrown his way for relaxing in the sun when he should be working, even though he insists that he has 3 exercise times a day. Paul is an arrogant, obnoxious human being that happens to play soccer. I did not know much about him before this series. What I have seen did not win me over & annoyed me.

Evil Dies Tonight
19 October 2021
The Kills & Music are Great. All the other elements are poor, dull & unmemorable. This film does not stand on its own. This film relies far too much on references to the original & the previous film in the franchise. This film made me miss Donald Pleasence more than any film I have sat through. He brought a powerhouse performance to Samuel Loomis every time he took on the role. RIP Donald Pleasence.

Unfunny comedy with no substance
8 June 2020
Lifetime has this film scheduled for a 2 hour & a half time slot. Seeing as how this garbage is 1 hour & 40 minutes that means 50 minutes of ads for a film with the quality of a Lifetime Original. I have not seen the television show & know that it has to be better than this

Art House Television
16 February 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This series is a first of its kind. I have seen Art House films, yet before this never an Art House Television Series. It is a risky move and the rewards are bountiful. I started with the pilot of Mr. Robot 3 weeks ago. I binged and finished the finale just now. This is my favourite show of anything ever and I wept twice watching Season 4. This is high art. The Cinematography, Score, Editing, Acting, Direction, Humour, Characters, Plot and Themes are all immaculate. Everyone involved should be proud of what they helped create, especially my boy Sam Esmail. A visionary who can challenge the viewer and himself with: 1. An episode that appears as a oner 2. An episode with dialogue starting and ending the episode (the slices of bread that reference what is between them) and the meat of the episode being hacking action without dialogue 3. A Bottle Episode that is the best episode of the series for me, that is split into 5 acts with 5 characters and is able to have the feel of a stage play while delivering immaculate direction, acting and cinematography 4. A lost walk through the forest being one of the best episodes of television & the series 5. An ending that subverts expectations, makes sense and is incredibly satisfying given the information we get up until the twist of the final 3 episodes 6. Many episodes that have no "gimmick" and are among the best that television has seen to this point in time and for a long time going forward. We get shows like this but once in a lifetime Themes of mental illness, grief, sadness & loneliness are often used and add to the authenticity the show portrays. The viewer is a character that our protagonist refers to in the first person and it works beautifully without feeling stupid or pretentious. I was alive on this earth during the time when this show was aired and that is a beautiful fact. This will be my favourite show until my last breath Hello & Goodbye Friend Bonsoir Elliot Farewell Kiddo

Comedy Gold
4 November 2019
This is the best example of turning a film into a television show. The characters are fleshed out & the comedy is as funny and fresh as ever. Comedic guest stars and wonderful performances all around. FX allowed for freedom of expression from the writing staff & director. This is great to see as most big companies censor the work to meet network requirements. The "rules of being a vampire" are constantly mocked with excellent results. Give this a watch

The Best Canadian Show
27 October 2019
My Home Country of Canada has few shows that are of any value. Nirvanna The Band The Show aims to fix that with gut busting comedy & clever satire/parodies. Matt & Jay's comedy flows naturally and they work well off each other. This show does a good job In selling the tourism for Toronto and making it look like a wonderful place to visit. I pray that Season 3 can find a home now that Vice Canada has hit the dust. I watched both seasons on City TV back home so we can only hope they can find the rights for Season 3. This is the best Television Show that Canada has ever produced & hardly anyone knows of it. This is a masterpiece & my favourite non animated comedy. Give it a go

Creepy Religious Horror
26 October 2019
This is obscure spooks for the 70's done right. The plot has its fair share of twists & turns to keep it interesting. The mask & soundtrack are bone chilling. The acting is less than amazing. For all horror fans out there dig this gem up & give it a go

A wonderful statement on society and technology
8 September 2019
Joaquin Phoenix gives an excellent performance depicting a lonely man looking for love. Spike Jonze delivers a wonderful statement about the human race and our dependency on technology in the 21st century. This is a chilling depiction of what the future has in store for us as humans. The cinematography is immaculate and the colour depicted in the film give us an insight to Theodore's emotional state at that point in the film. Bright, warm colours for moments of happiness and dreary blues for melancholic sad moments. The colour choices remind me of Kubrick's use of colour in Eye's Wide Shut. This film is a masterpiece in all aspects. Give it a watch

Poor Reboot

A poor stand alone comedy, even worse when compared to the National Lampoon Vacation. Do yourself a favor and skip this film

Great Teletoon Show during my childhood

I spent many summer days watching Camp Lazlo as a child. Looking back on this show I would argue that it has good animation, great voice acting/characters and still holds up today

Intelligent Storytelling with fascinating characters
26 August 2019
I am new to Anime and this is the first full series I have viewed that is not a film. The characters and story are incredible as are the arcs the characters go through. Ryuk is my favourite character with his love of human world apples and how juicy they are. 🍎 If you are looking for an introduction to anime like I was, give this a watch as I was not disappointed with the time I invested into Death Note. I am excited to see other anime series now and see what else has been created in this beautiful world of ours

A Damn Good Love Letter To The 1980's
18 August 2019
A show that is able to encapsulate the feel of the 1980's in the 2010's and make it feel like something new at the same time gets a tip of the hat from me. Stranger Things features an engaging story, unique characters with great performances and three seasons of quality. The finale of season 3 is the best episode of this show I have seen yet. I am excited to see where the show goes from here Season 1 > Season 2 Season 3 > Season 2 Season 1 > Season 3
