The nostalgic, the 80's feel, the aircrafts, Tom Cruise in his prime and everything else that related to the first one, what a movie experience.
27 May 2022
Tom Cruise is one of the greatest actors living among us and he made Top Gun in 1986 and now we got to see the sequel. It had so much that reminded of the first one and everybody who got together to made this movie, they have a nostalgic sense to the first one. There is so much that I loved about this movie and I will have an emotional feel to this movie along time.

I was waiting and waiting for this kind of a sequel that gets the first ones feel and emotion and nostalgic correct. It's also a little bit better than the first one, because of the emotion and throwing me back to the 80's movie.

Fred Alvarez produced this, he didn't direct
18 February 2022
I have never been a Texas Chainsaw fan, but I like some of the movies. The remake that was made in 2003 is still the best. This was just not the Chainsaw that I know it to be, from the beginning I did know that this is going to work. Fred Alvarez feel and his way of making a horror movie, it had it, but the director didn't made this movie into the best Chainsaw movies I have ever seen.

In the beginning, like I said, I saw too much color and vividness, every time I have watched a good Chainsaw movie, they had a darkness in it. I just saw so much of happiness and joy in the first outing of the cast. The cast wasn't that memorable, except the Texas lone star I. The beginning, I did find him to be interesting. But with Sarah Yarkin and Elsie Fisher in the lead, I just didn't find nothing that got me invested to them.

The runtime if this movie is mostly the same as the first 1974 movies and that's very cool, but this is the year 2022 and you need some more concept to get me invested to the characters. I knew that the Elsa Fisher character had a back story, but they didn't flesh in out, so that I could feel something towards the character.

It had a few things that made me cringe (witch is a good thing) and I had a laugh in it (that scene was really funny), but there was nothing that I got invested in the end.

Dune (2021)
10/10
Masterpiece
18 September 2021
Dune is a very well done movie with a great cast, music, visual effects, scenery and the direction of the camera. It's an amazing feeling to see a movie that is payin an homage to the book.

Frank Herbert made a great book about society and an messiah that is getting the feeling of a savior of the people. Denis Villeneuve took that book and made the best movie of the year with Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Jason Momoa, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolinand many others.

Timothée Chalamet shines in this role as Paul Atreides. He takes it all like he is the character and makes an amazing performance. Also he has the same qualities as Daniel Day Lewis and maybe he will be the next Lewis (John Campea said it first). Jason Momoa and Javier Bardem doesn't do much in the movie but while their on screen, they don't act the are the characters as does everybody else, but I just had to mention this two actors.

The music is by Hans Zimmer and although it's all about the sounds and not the music that works for me. When Paul and his mother are fleeing for the second time that music was breathtaking. Zimmer has completely changed the way I listen to music, 'cause even I now will listen to just sounds and get emotional over it.

The camera is so on point with all of the scenes. It has a way of showing you every little thing with out the audience yawning. I felt that the camera and music were really beautifully placed together and I had an emotional feeling to them at the same time.

The plot is is really good but we have seen it already by David Lynch, this time we were waiting to see something different from the director of Arrival, Sicario and Blade Runner 2049, Denis Villeneuve. He is the master at tge taking time and gets you to feel the movie.

Mank (2020)
8/10
One if the best roles of Gary Oldman and David Finchers well directed film
4 December 2020
Mank is a deep dwell to the movie that we all know, Citizen Kane. It has a powerful cast of characters and one of the best roles by Gary Oldman. Fincher has made again an excellent movie, but it lacks the excitement that will always make me think that David Fincher is one of the great directors living.

What makes Gary Oldman one of a kind is this kind of movies, where he has all the inspiration he needs to make a great character. Herman Mankiewicz has made a great movie and his life was difficult and intriguing. What Oldman did with this character was that he took the role and made it intriguingly inspiring for others who will make a career of acting.

The way that we all will know Citizen Kane is of course the black and white cinematography. Mank is also made as a black and white film with all of the characters that we need to make a 30s or 40s film. It's absolutely beautiful to watch.

I couldn't believe when I heard Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross where the ones who were making the music. But when I looked at the movie and listen to the music, it all makes sense. Reznor and Ross has a mark by doing collaborations with each other and it doesn't betray us in Mank. Their is also the difference in the films music that made me hesitate the movie but Reznor and Ross pulls it of marvelously.

Fincher has made yet another movie that will make it to the top 10 movies of this year, but it won't make it to the top. The movie is talking and that may be pouring to most of the viewers. I myself was a little bit pored in the second act. It didn't grip me like all the other movies that Fincher has made. Fincher has made so many different kinds of movies and this is one of them. Some people like it others won't.

The script is talking and it does have to have the energy and the intriguiness that makes a movie great. Jack Fincher made the script and unfortunately he passed before David Fincher (his son) could make the film. Their are some elements that will make you yawn, because of the talking, but their is the last act that will make you think about the movies familiar ending to other movies by Fincher.

All and all this was a great movie that I will watch again. The ending was beautifully done and the intriguing way that Oldman made the movie live is one of a kind. It's all in the hands of the director and the script writer.

Great cast, bad movie
24 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Don't get me wrong there are elements and scenes that I like in Hillbilly Elegy and Amy Adams and Glenn Close are great. There isn't anything more in the movie that I like.

The camera is going every where most of the times and the film editing is even worse. The film has no structure to the camera work.

The music is good. Hans Zimmer and David Fleming made the best score as they could. There's this scene in the end when the son and the mother has there confrontation in the motel, that one gets me.

Ron Howard didn't make any Forrest Gumpish movie, but there are elements that will make this a Ron Howard movie.

The movie has moments but the whole plot of the movie was to make it a different kind family movie, not an Oscar winner movie.

The Rock (1996)
10/10
"Winners go the prom queen"
4 April 2020
General Hummel (Ed Harris) steels nuclear warheads to Alcatraz (The Rock). Stanley Godspeed (Nicolas Cage) is a scientist that knows how to make the warheads unarmed. John Mason (Sean Connery) is an old escape artist. He has broken out of the Rock twice and is in custody now and he is the right guy to show you the way to the Rock.

This movie is one of my personal best. This is also Michael Bays second full-length movie, his first being Bad Boys. The movie has explosions and car chaises and slow-motion action. It's all that this movie needs and Bay did a terrifically job with this.

The Rock has a great cast in it also. Nicolas Cage is wonderful over-actor, Sean Connery is a bad-ass and Ed Harris is terrific whit his eyes.

The action is well shot, and all the explosions are great. The camera work isn't top notch but it works with what it can.

The plot isn't that new for now, but when the Rock was made it was a very different kind of view of a movie.

Night Killer (1990)

Funny in a way you probably think
12 March 2020
The movie is awfully good. It doesn't have any good characters, the directing is horrendous, the cutting is mushy, the score is bad and the whole movie is great.

I laughed my ass off when I watched the movie. Don't expect any good movie. You just gonna have to watch Night Killer without your brain, brainlessly.

P.S. why is it called Non aprite quella porta 3? Did they think that they are gonna skip the previous two movies and make the third one. I just want to know that.

Dr. No (1962)
8/10
The beginning of it all
9 March 2020
The first Bond came out in the 60's and the movie didn't know it yet but they would be a franchise.

Bond is investigating, why two of the 00-agents were killed and who is behind it all. The job will take him through Jamaica and it's islands.

The movie is very well done for its time but time has passed and it hasn't done justice to the movie. There will be some who thinks that this is a boring movie, but Dr. No is a spy movie and it's well done.

The scenery is magnificent, composer is one of a kind and the acting is well done. The movie plot is old-school and most of the plot twist, you can spot them miles away.

All and all the movie is very good and it's the first time we get to see Bond... James Bond.

Watchmen: See How They Fly (2019)
Season 1, Episode 9

"That guy talks too much"
16 December 2019
A wonderful way of ending the season. There was great music, scenes, acting, directing and the script for the whole series was great.

What I loved about the series ending was that it didn't rush to the end. It was all done very beautifully with Regina King as the main character.

I just have to say again that the music was one of a kind. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross made a unique music that had their trade marks.

The acting in the whole series was great. Jeremy Irons, Regina King, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Tom Blake Nelson and Don Johnson, they were all great in Watchmen.

I don't know how the screen writers are gonna make a season 2, but I'm rooting for more Watchmen. But I also can say that this could be a perfect ending for the film and the series, but I hope that it ain't.

... when the series gets really exiting and fantastic.

This episode was the best so far. Everything was put in to right place. The actors were great, the music was great, the sights wore fabulous and the whole god dam series is great.

This could be the next Breaking Bad.

I haven't had a single plot-twist thought in my mind and I'm still loving this series. The episode had all the right moves. It will get you thinking about who to support in Watchmen, but it will also answer to the regular viewers, questions of it.

I'm still saying that the music was spot on. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have talent which shows in the series. The give you the music at the right moment. When the ended the episode with a familiar song that was the right move.

I don't think about the end because I can't. I do not know what the end will be.

Marvelous episode
25 November 2019
Intelligent episode. Finally we know Will Reeves' point in this series. This episode had the grip to keep you watching it until the end.

The black/white cinematography and a hint of color in it, was spot on. It will make you more interested in Will Reeves.

The music was good. I especially liked the scene at the end, with the warehouse scene. It had the hooked on the right situations and the music also had the feel of sorrow.

This episode was great and I hope that it will stay great to the end. I will wait for the next episode and hope that it will stay as mysterious and interesting to the end.

"Your God has abandoned you"
18 November 2019
Tim Blake Nelson's episode. This was a great episode. We get to see the Looking Glass backstory and we get to see the plot evolved.

The music ain't just Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, it has memorable tracks from the 50's to the 70's.

Tim Blake Nelson is great as Looking Glass. He is a great actor with a very peculiar role, but still interesting.

The episode is about Looking Glass and his evolvement in the storyline and it will confuse you and make you thing about the bad guy. Who the hell is the bad guy?

A weaker one but still interesting
11 November 2019
This episode was a little dull, but I'm still intrigued about the end. This was also the first episode that I didn't find Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross music as valid as in the other episodes.

The end was excellent. What can the future of Watchmen bring.

The cinematography was great. All the sceneries in the movie was beautiful. The messyness came from the way that the story went on. There was great actors and actresses, but the didn't give that much to the movie.

A perfect episode
5 November 2019
This was a very interesting episode and one of the best. Laurie Blake is the interest and when her character was introduced, I was intrigued what her character was.

The music is ones again top notch. The Brick -song was very mysterious and it makes you shiver inside. Well done Trent and Atticus!

This was a magnificent episode because the music was right, the acting was correct and the series still has its right place.

Watchmen are here.
28 October 2019
I can't wait for the conclusion of this season.

This was a slow, but a perfect episode. I can't say enough of the music that Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have made. The music is perfect.

Regina King and Jeremy Irons are the ones that I'm looking. They are interesting and mysterious at the same time. What will happen in the next episode.

Watchmen as a series
22 October 2019
The series has a very mixed beginning but it still has the watchmen feeling in it. I love the movie. The darkness and the way that it doesn't feel like a comic book-movie. Comic book-movies always has the good guy and the bad guy but the movie will make you think, who is the good guy. That what the series also make.

The way that the series is made, is that it will not answer all of the questions. The way that the camera moves doesn't answer all of the questions. This is a very well shot and made series.

Also Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross has made a masterful music to the series. This music I will listen too many times.

Great series, great acting, great camera work, great plot, great music and great, great, great! I will watch the series to the end.

Daredevil (2015–2018)
10/10
This review comes from a comic book-fan
15 December 2018
Warning: Spoilers
One of the best series I have ever seen. Charlie Cox nailed it as Daredevil, actually you could say he was made for this role. He has a great way to show the vulnerability off the character and also the way, how the character evolves in time.

I also love the fight scenes, especially the long ones. There are two scenes that had you in the fighting moment. And in the third season, I felt Daredevil came out of Matt Murdock and be as Daredevil.

I have to mention The Punisher, from the second season. The way Jon Bernthal made the Punisher live is amazing.

There is also a very dark element in the series and it is the scenery. That's what you want to see in a Daredevil-series. A dark, murky city life, with a devil that has angels on his side.

The best Marvel series and one of the best series I have seen. Great job with the atmosphere of the series and it's truthfulness.

In a way a good movie
19 October 2018
Any which way you can is fairly good. I was more interested in Clyde than I was to Philo Beddoe. The movie had a plot but it wasn't well but out. There are so many sub-plots in the movie that I don't know what to say. If you like Clint's movies you have to watch this, at least once.

Jersey Boys is a story about this four guys. This is definitely a Clint Eastwood movie that has a ok script. Eastwood makes the movie live, but there is something that doesn't go with it. The actors are ok, the way that the movie is shot is ok and everything else is ok. I just didn't find it that interesting as a movie.

Inception (2010)
10/10
This movie makes you think, are you asleep
25 June 2017
The movie starts very strangely for the first time viewers, but when the movie goes foreword you will get it. Or will you.

Inception is about sleep. How well do you know that you aren't asleep right now? Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) has a machine that will make you fall asleep and dream. You also need an architect that will make your dream.

Inception has a massive list of stars; Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tom Hardy etc. DiCaprio is the star in the movie, but there is also a very strong character that is played by Gordon-Levitt. Levitt is an actor from the hit TV-series called 3rd Rock from the Sun. After the show Levitt started in a very mediocre movies, but when you see him in this movie you want to see more of him.

Cinematography is very difficult in a movie like this. It has ankles that no one has made before. Also the music by Hans Zimmer is beautifully crafted. Zimmer way is to make you feel like you are in the movie and he does it.

The philosophical way of looking at this movie has a very strong appeal to every viewer. Philosophy has always got questions but never answers and that doesn't come out in the film. But if you look at the end of the movie, the very last scene, you have to ask yourself: What just happened?

Funny
1 June 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Shameless (U.S.) is a remade series from Shameless (U.K.). I haven't seen the U.K: version but I liked this one. Episode starts with a inside to the series, where Frank, the father who can't do nothing right in his life, tells abut his family.

Th episode was funny and dramatic. A lot can happen in one hour. William H. Macy doesn't act a lot in this episode but he sure does great acting when he does. Emmy Rossum is truly the actress in this episode and she does a great job. She can make Fiona Gallagher a daughter that does everything to his dad in a great way.

The episode was funny and I would like more of this.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is easy comedy
1 June 2017
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was a easy comedy as its predecessor. I haven't laughed that hard in a movie for a very long time. The movie didn't have any witty characters and a clever plot, it was all simple.

The music in the movie is a great 70's and 80's song mix.The begging of the movie you will hear ELO Mr. Blue Sky which is a great song for the movie to begging with. James Gunn has a reason for this music and it's that all the youngsters in this life would hear all this "old" songs.

GotG Vol. 2 is a very funny movie and the movie has a way to show everybody that you don't have to have a clever plot, only a very funny one.
