Netflix's Second Turkish Series!
28 December 2019
I didn't keep my expectations very high after the series Hakan: Muhafiz. I ran into a series above my expectations. Although some of the scenes were ridiculous, I found the series successful in general. At least the dialogues were not like translation. The acting was not similarly bad. The use of visual effects was more successful. I watched it and never got bored. Atiye has been a series above country standards.

One of Hakan: Muhafiz positive sides was the steps it took to promote Istanbul well. Atiye does the same for Göbeklitepe and Nemrut. If we look at the script in general, let's not use the word cliche, but I can say classic. But the places used in the series were good. Instead of creating a special universe for itself, the story takes place in today's modern Istanbul. Later, the inclusion of Göbeklitepe and Nemrut adds a mystical feeling to the story. Each series has a color. The selection of light cold and pastel colors was very pleasant. The music selection of the series was also good. Tense music in the tension scenes and the fact that Eastern melodies appear in the background during Göbeklitepe images further connects the viewer to the screen. One of the things I liked about the series was the importance to detail.

Of course, the characters had good and bad sides. The bad character image of Serdar was not as good as I wanted. I found it a bit simple and artificial. Hannah was obvious, too. Some things to improve the mystery of the season seemed a bit unnecessary. There were a few scenes I found extremely bad, but I want to forget them. That's why I won't mention it. It was inadequate for me that the answers of some mysteries were left to the next season and were not explained. I wish the first scene was answered in the season finale, but it didn't. For instance, it would be nice to see what Atiye's powers were. First season was like preparing for the new season. I hope the unexplained things in the next season are explained with a good script. We'il see it next season. 8/10

The Witcher (2019– )

The Witcher: Blood, Dark, Magic, etc.
20 December 2019
Production has an incredibly important place to shoot a series or film. Sometimes even a very minimalist story can reach an incredibly successful point after the right production stages. The Witcher series is far from minimalist. The Witcher is one of the best Middle-earth works in the world. Production quality is essential if you want to handle such a topic successfully.

The world that The Witcher goes through is a world with its own rules, races, characters, creatures, beliefs, even if it does not seem too strange to those familiar with fantastic narratives. In particular, the first two chapters carry the risk of being too confusing while reflecting the details of this world to the audience. After the chapters where it is difficult to fully understand which character serves whom and why, the story becomes more beautiful as the other characters gradually increase in the narrative. There are two main characters in the narrative except Geralt. One of them is Ciri, who was advised to find Geralt when her lands were taken over by the enemies. The other is Yennefer, a kind of witch whose aim is to gain as much power as possible. While the goal of these two characters is evident, the fact that Geralt at the center of the narrative does not have a significant motivation due to the character's characteristics causes the story to be thrown from one place to another. However, the story deepens as the characteristics of this character become evident and the dynamics of the world in which events take place gradually emerge. It is the primary factor that gives the dark tone of The Witcher's world that people use their power and material resources to seize land. The dark narrative that expresses the evil within man is supported by the visual language of the series. The visual language, dominated by darkness and shadows, brings The Witcher closer to a gothic horror narrative from time to time when combined with the characteristics of the characters it contains. This dark atmosphere also gains a realistic tone with the violence of the series. The Witcher, one of Netflix's most courageous works to date, relentlessly conveys the mess of the world it tells. It creates a consistent and dark atmosphere thanks to well-captured battle and combat scenes and technical details such as image management and music usage. 9/10

The Rise of the Joker!
13 November 2019
Joaquin' portrayal of a sociopathic, mentally unstable man's transformation to the iconic Joker was non other than a grippingly accurate, realistic and touching rendition. A dark and disturbing character piece led by an Oscar worthy performance by Joaquin Phoenix. You really do feel bad for this guy, which makes it all the more heartbreaking when he inevitably becomes the clown prince of crime we all know and love, although we've never seen him like this. We see him suffer throughout the movie to the point we're almost rooting for himk to become a mass murdering psyco clown, because that at least will make feel better; then it happens and we just wish this could have all just been avoided, because es so messed up. We feel for him and care about him. By the time he's the joker, we wish we could've helped him. There's a lot of great nods to the greater Batman universe, yet the movie is a self contained character piece. That can only be the mark of a great movie. All the acting is great, the plot (while similar to Taxi Driver) is brilliant and the quality of the movie shows you don't need CGI super powers to be a great villain in a Superhero movie. Is a joke not everyone gets. This movie is "the rise of the Joker!" 10/10

The Best: Breaking Bad
11 October 2019
Breaking Bad is in my opinion the best series of all time. What about a motion picture? I was wondering. It's a very successful film. Nice to see Jesse Pinkman again, b*tch! I hope the film achieves the desired success. 8/10

Everything is just beginning.
5 July 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The film tells the story of the events after the Avengers: Endgame. Everywhere was Tony Stark because Peter was incredibly respected and loved him. Naturally, it is normal that Tony Stark's absence is brought to our eyes throughout the film. Even at the first opening of the film, the losses of the Avengers are shown and there is a pleasant sympathy. Peter's loss of his mentor affects his powers, leading him to difficult times. The film successfully manages to reflect this trauma. You're experiencing Peter's pain exactly. After many people disappeared for five years because of Thanos, the world is naturally in recovery. While some people have not aged in any way, some have lost five years of their lives.

Far from Home reflects the line between comic book seriousness and comedy action mix very well. The fact that the action scenes are more than the first movie certainly does not bother. Adorned with stunning details, the action scenes look quite impressive, especially when you taste 3D and IMAX. The film offers an incredibly fun and visual feast. MCU films often go fast and are hard to follow, but director Jon Watts has done everything he can to get the important scenes for the audience to enjoy the movie. You will be happy to see faces smelling nostalgia for a few seconds. On the other hand, dress designs and especially the new costume of Spider-Man seem quite successful, of course it is impossible to overlook Mysterio's charisma.

Even for audiences who do not master the MCU universe, Far from Home is a surprisingly emotional film. On the other hand, it's like a huge group therapy session for MCU fans. Far from Home has succeeded to be one of the successful examples of its kind. The line between action and grief is well preserved. Of course, if you're following the MCU universe, you won't miss out on unreasonable details.

Finally, the film has two different endings. Obviously, after watching the first end, I wonder where they will tie the third Spider-Man movie and how they can get rid of such chaos. 8/10

The Central Park Five
10 June 2019
This production, which has been very popular since the introduction process, made an ambitious introduction to Netflix. When They See Us aims to tell an impressive story that has shaken the audience deeply.

The series focuses on the "Central Park Five" incident in 1989. Since many people are aware of this tragic event thanks to this series, the mission that the series takes on is very important. Five blackish youths are unfairly accused of rape in Central Park in 1989. The series, which tells the struggle of these five young people against justice, dates from 1989 to 2002. The series, which reveals a flutter that touches the heart, is not only important because it is based on reality, but also has inferences that shed light on today. When They See Us is very successful in reflecting the tension and drama of young people's struggle for justification. The main reason why emotions are well reflected is the excellent acting performances in the series. Accurate actor preferences help to better reflect the screenplay with an impressive fiction. Episodes ranging from 60 to 80 minutes allow the 23-year process to be followed step by step. A successful cinematography has been applied to ensure that this tense atmosphere is supported visually. Apart from the main characters, there are also successful names in episodes of the series. The series, which has a crowded staff, is becoming one of the productions to be watched thanks to this collective success.

When They See Us reflects a successful example of a genre not so common in Netflix. To see the reflections of a true-life event with its different dimensions in today's world will give the viewers a new perspective. An excellent option for those who want a quality drama. 10/10

Chernobyl (2019)

Now you look like the minister of coal!
8 June 2019
In terms of series expression, it moves on in a style that we can call "documentary-drama". But there is a serious scenario success here. The visual and verbal emotions of the series we watch are sometimes causing anxiety, sometimes causing anger and sometimes we cannot prevent our eyes from being moistened. The gloomy atmosphere of the Soviets is very well reflected. The background music supports this. It has a cinematic narrative. You feel the catastrophe up to your buttonhole. Nevertheless, acting certainly takes the business to a much higher level. Chernobyl is now at the top of the "Top Rated TV Shows" list in IMDb. This is a significant improvement, even if you are a person who does not consider the IMDb score very much. Such a great success in a short time... It really deserves a round of applause. 10/10

The Peak of Animation!
1 June 2019
We are faced with an incredibly creative anthology of 18 different stories ranging from an immense variety of animation designs, cinematography, music-sound use, and transhumanism to cyber punk, from robotics to artificial intelligence, from the life of others to anti-militarism: Love, Death & Robots.

It was obvious from the trailer that we would be watching interesting things, but I didn't expect that much. The taste of each episode remained in my palate. Death, Love & Robots show the end point of the animation. Cyberpunk, love, death, technology, apocalyptic, a variety of topics such as space is told. So each viewer can find something in the series. There were criticisms of sexism and violence, but I didn't encounter such a problem. Episode lengths range from six to seventeen minutes. Although it is a little short, you can understand the quality when you watch. 9/10

Great Disappointment...
20 May 2019
We left behind a year in which the fans had been waiting a long time, ran from theories to theories, brainstormed and all expectations were destroyed in the 8th season. At some point, I can almost say that I was almost happy to say the series is over. Why does such a series end up so bad? Character development was ignored. Very big disappointment. It would be better if Drogon and Ghost made sex in the final.

I would have preferred a finale that was left open but created a big effect. We didn't need to know what was happening to every character, that they were all happy and strong. Almost democracy was coming. I couldn't see the finale that was bittersweet. The creators of the series once again proved how unsuccessful they were without a source. You can see this difference in diplomatic sentences easily by opening a random episode from the first three to four seasons of the series. 1/10

Cryptic Dimensions!
19 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The OA left many questions to be answered behind with the first season finale and was highly appreciated by the audience. The OA's second season is quite chaotic and confusing.

In the first season, all the theories that came to mind were refuted and an unexpected scenario was written. The OA, which is the most watched series at a time in Netflix, arouses your curiosity with its unexpected plot and never lets you get away with it. In the second season of the series, you understand that the first season is an impressive story in its own right, and it is a preparation for the complex concepts that will be put ahead. In the first season, we find ourselves in a more complex world while watching the life and death issues after death; multiple universe theories and when we die we wake up in one of the parallel universes. In the first season, while watching the life and death issues after death, and in the second season we find ourselves in a more complex world; multiple universe theories and when we die we wake up in one of the parallel universes.

The second season brings together the universe we remembered from the first season and the universe where Prairie wakes up as Nina Azarova after being shot in the school. So the characters we know from the first season are the same but the events developed with small differences. This caused Prairie to wake up in a universe where Nina Azarova's father did not die and she was not adopted. In this universe, the main tasks of Prairie are to find Homer, in which she has come through difficult ways to integrate with Nina Azarova and to be together.

The fact that the first season ended with Homer's name was a clue to us. Yes, Prairie finds Homer in this new universe, but in a completely different way: Homer is not aware of anything in this new universe. In spite of Prairie's efforts, Homer's recollection of his past life is entirely through the integration of Prairie with Nina Azarova. According to Elodie, one of the new characters in the series, the lives of Prairie, Homer and Hap are interdependent. They will find each other in whatever universe they are. This is the truth that prepares us for the third season. In the final episode, we are moving to a completely different dimension. While this dimension answers the question of what's behind the mosaic glass in the season, it also prepares us for developments in the third season. I hope that future seasons will be enriched by adding new layers. 8/10

It's got its own action style!
17 May 2019
This universe, created without any source material, had to develop and expand itself in every new film. The same fiction can not be made for each film. We don't know if Derek Kolstad had thought that John Wick would be this big when he first created it, but when we came to the third film it seems clear how the story deepened and became beautiful.

This film offers you all kinds of action. The film has a unique style of action. Any action you can think of is included in the third film. Moreover, exponentially! The enemies are increasingly jumping. As we saw in the trailer, there is even a horse escape scene. There's so much more to it. At this point, sometimes there can be a small illusion in the viewer. Only action-oriented films can be considered empty. We can say that John Wick 3 offers almost uninterrupted action for 2 hours and 10 minutes. But in doing so, it doesn't forget the story. You will learn new and very interesting details of John Wick and you will get new ideas about the functioning of the universe.

Stahelski has very impressive shots. The main venues preferred for the main fights were especially appreciated. The fact that the director's vision is so blended with Keanu Reeves and other actors is very effective on the traceability of the film. Stahelski deserves great praise.

The film also brings new characters. One of them is Sofia, played by Halle Berry. Obviously the audience will love Sofia. Halle Berry has done a great job. Mark Dacascos is one of our main villains; He portrayed the character Zero in the film.

Among the action films, it was both a strong story and an ambitious way of action. I think that the action-lovers will be pleasure separated from this film. 9/10

What did you do, Dany?
13 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
It was really disappointing that Dany burned everyone. It was terrible to burn innocent people when the city surrendered. The process towards being the Mad Queen is very poorly processed. She was like an adolescent girl. If you're gonna own the throne, you shouldn't be like this. Power officially drove Dany out of control. Dany died for me...

I think Drogon should sit on the throne. It worked hard, and it deserved.

The King's City was very easily invaded. I expected it to be more difficult. We didn't even see the Golden Company fighting.

I hope Cersei doesn't die because of the falling stones. The biggest disappointment for me is this. Because I want to see her shiver in front of the dragon.

Euron was very strong in the previous episode. But he was like an idiot this episode.

Tyrion and Jaime's scene was beautiful. The sensuality between them impressed me.

I never understood Arya's hustle and bustle. She ran right and left, like someone who had no purpose.

What was Bran doing during the whole war? I was really curious. Maybe he's watching the war from above.

Visual effects may be good, but not enough to save this episode.

The actors were all very bad in this episode. I think it's because of the script.

The only positive thing I saw was the fight of the Hound and the Mountain. They say goodbye with a really epic scene.

I respect it for the labor, but I'm disappointed. I want to erase the eighth season from my head.

I think it will better to wait for the books to come out. 5/10

I don't want to remember bad.
6 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
It opened with the scene where the dead were burned. They were quickly saved from the effect of the Long Night. We see celebrations after the war. Jon Snow makes a victory speech after the war. I wish we'd seen it before the war. I didn't see you act like a leader during the war. It was bad that the dragon died in such a simple way. I'd like to saw Dany and her army came south. It was like a time lapse. They found themselves suddenly in the south. I look forward to the fight of the Hound and the Mountain. I think that's the only thing that will satisfy me. I'm sure the last two episodes will be more beautiful. It seems that Dany will die, Arya or Jamie will kill Cersei, and Jon will sit on the iron throne. We will watch and see. I don't want to remember Game of Thrones badly. I've reduced my expectations and I'm happier. 6/10

The Battle of Winterfell!
29 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The episode featuring the longest battle scene in the history of the world was finally released. I can say that there are almost no catchword in this episode. The helplessness was conveyed in a very good way cinematic. While the main characters were fighting, the helplessness of the other side characters fighting around was perfectly conveyed. The atmosphere is great, the visuality is great. It was visually satisfactory. I can't say the same for the script. The only bad thing about the battle was the high expectation. The high expectation led to an increase in the number of people who did not like this episode.

The Night King and his army are coming. Preparations were made at Winterfell. Melisandre's arrival was good. I think the defense of the castle was wrong. Dothraki warriors are open area warriors. Riding horses in the land is different from riding in a snowy area. I didn't expect them to be useful by riding horses in a snowy area. It was indeed as I expected. Dothraki army weren't outnumbered. Sending the Dothraki army from the front was a big mistake. They died and fought on the side of the dead. The first Dothraki army that crossed the Narrow Sea unfortunately died in vain. The catapults were used incorrectly and little. On the other hand, the Night King saw the dragons as the most powerful weapon of his opponent and neutralized them by creating a snowstorm. The dragons were ineffective for a while. It was a smart move. He really showed he was a king. So the Winterfell defense's tactic has deteriorated. I would have liked to see Tyrion Lannister's ideas that led the war, but he did not leave the cellar throughout the episode. Jon Snow did nothing during the episode. Jon couldn't even use the dragon. He should have fought with the sword. The Night King was already more strong with the army he owned. We saw the dead wake up from the graveyard in Winterfell. From this moment on, the only thing that the Night King needs to do is to stand back and wait for the battle to be won. Already the dead would most likely win the war. But he moved forward to find Bran. He got into Winterfell. But Arya... As everyone waits for Jon Snow, Arya is on stage.

The Unsullied army is truly an incredible. Extremely disciplined and charismatic. The dragon animations were really very nice. Without dragons, it would be like an ordinary battle. Apparently most of the budget has been invested here. The scene where the dragons stood in front of the moon was incredible. The fight of the dragons with each other was very nice. It was nice that Melisandre committed suicide after completing her mission.

I don't know what Bran's trying to do. Although he is very strong, he is useless. All he does is show us the war from above. Lyanna Mormont's scene was very good. Her death was the most epic death of the war. She died just as she was supposed to. I thought one of Mormonts would die, but they both died. Edd, Theon and Melisandre are dead. Most characters didn't die, but the war is not over yet. Melisandre's blue eye expression told me that Arya would kill the Night King. Arya proved to be a complete assassin. Arya's killing to the Night King was good as scene, but I didn't expect that. She had no way to reach the Night King. I was really surprised. There had to be a one-on-one battle between the Night King and Jon Snow. The Night King shouldn't end this way. The legend of Azor Ahai I guess will remain legend. Maybe the Night King will come back. Maybe when it's all over, Bran comes as the Night King. We will watch and see. 8/10

The End of an Era!
25 April 2019
After Avengers Infinity War, we waited for the Avengers Endgame. We wondered how the story would go on, how our heroes would turn back, what would be the end of Thanos. Many theories related to this have been put forward. Avengers Endgame was undoubtedly the most anticipated film of recent years. Normally, the higher the expectation, the higher the probability of disappointment. But this is not the case for Endgame. Whatever you're expecting, you find much more in the film. This means that the biggest concern about the film has disappeared.

On the other hand, another comparison comes up. Is Endgame more successful than Infinity War? We can comfortably say it Avengers Infinity War is just the beginning of the story. Endgame was the finale of the story. So we shouldn't think of these two films as two separate stories. There is only one story divided into two parts.

Avengers Endgame is, above all, a great homage to the ten-year history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The story highlights the original Avengers team. Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye are at the center of events. No character comes in front of them. Of course there are many characters that play an important role in the story outside the original Avengers team. Everyone's concern was that Captain Marvel, who was included in the Marvel world, overshadowed other heroes. We can say that this certainly did not happen. What is important in this struggle is not how strong you are, but how good you are. This comes to the fore in all areas. It gives good message about being a hero and a family.

Of course, Avengers Endgame has some critical aspects. For example, is the three-hour period necessary in terms of the story? It can be discussed. The head of the story moves much slower than the rest. It also drags the heroes into an emotional predicament. Then the tempo is rising and the heavy scenes we are watching are getting more meaningful. The last 45 minutes of the movie is fully action packed. But the last 45 minutes goes so fast that you don't even realize it. Action and battle scenes are really successful. There is not even a slight distress about visual effects. There are also slight logic errors in the film, but in general the story is so successful that these details become meaningless and insignificant after a certain point.

Lastly, Avengers Endgame doesn't have a movie end scene. Because after the film's final, there is no need for another scene. The Marvel legend Stan Lee appears with a small stage. But this is the last surprise scene in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Moreover, there is no clue about Marvel's future. This makes us wonder more about Spider-Man: Far from Home. 10/10

Towards War!
22 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
It was a better episode than the first episode. It was a episode that prepared the viewer for battle. It gave us the signal of the next episode. I think we will finally see the battle of ice and fire in the next episode.

It started with Jaime's court scene. Daenerys was more angry with Tyrion more than her hatred of Jaime. She became more angry with him for deceiving herself and showed Tyrion guilty. He was somehow pardoned by Brienne's defense of Jaime.

Bran and Jaime finally met. It was one of the scenes I was expecting.

Then we watched the scene of Daenerys and Sansa. Their speeches as if winning the battle were disturbing. They should have been more serious. I didn't like the reaction Daenerys showed when she found out that Jon was Targaryen.

We've seen battle tactics. We're going to see if the war will begin in the next episode. Events can be estimated right now. I'm waiting for astonishing events in the next episodes. Waiting for the next episode with impatience. We're going to watch a longer episode than 1 hour. 8/10

We warmed up!
15 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Opening credits! The change in the credits has been nice. There were radical changes and the icons had changed. The details of the ice from the broken wall to the south were very nice. I liked the new credits. In this episode, there were parallel things about the first episode of the series. In the first episode of the series, Robert Baratheon was coming to Winterell and Bran was watching the armies from the tower. In this episode, one child climbed up the trees and watched Daenerys's army. Even the music used on the stage was the same. The reaction of the northern people to the dragon was fun. The scene of Cersei and Euron Greyjoy was a short, good and consistency. It was a scene I never expected. Theon Greyjoy's rescue of Yara was one of my favorite scenes. The scene where Jon Snow flew with dragon was very fast and a bit simple. I think it should have been more difficult. It made me feel like something Jon was always doing. The most critical part of the episode was to Jon learned that was the true heir to the throne. I wish we could see the elephants. Unfortunately they did not. Actually, it was an episode to warm the fans. This episode reminded us what kind of history the characters has with whom. 8/10

The Umbrella Academy (2019–2024)

Netflix's Troubled Super Family...
27 February 2019
The Umbrella Academy is a very exciting series with its theme and script. But I can tell you that the script is not very loyal to the comic book. It has a more original scenario than the original story. There are so many aspects of the series that leave the comic book. This is both positive and negative. In addition to all of this, the series has very strange references. In the series, the black comedy is combined with the drama and added fantastic powers onto it. I can say that a good job has emerged with the processing of the subject, family relations and post production. Compared to Marvel productions or superhero teams like X-Men, The Umbrella Academy has less action and slow but is good enough. Acting, music, visual effects were fine. The most successful actors in the series are undoubtedly Robert Sheehan, who plays Klaus, and Aidan Gallagher, who plays Number Five. The series focuses on a family that has been severed from each other, hidden secrets and the past. So if you are expecting the heroes wearing costumes and advanced weapons and vehicles, you will not find you want in The Umbrella Academy. If you determine your expectations accordingly, The Umbrella Academy will be your liked a production. 8/10

Action & Brutality
27 January 2019
First of all, the film shouldn't be a movie you'll definitely take seriously. Please leave your brain if you decide to watch this movie. Because this film is a crunchy film that focuses entirely on the action and the charm of ferocity. So there is no deeper meaning nor a deep scenario.

The visuals are great, the color palette is so good that even the nature looks modern. It looks like an Instagram filter has been applied to a picture taken with a proper camera. The girls are beautiful, the main character is charismatic, the bad character is a fat asshole. There are plenty of clichés. You can predict what's going to happen. Predicting what will happen is a problem in such films because it eliminates the thriller factor.

You don't have to pay much attention to, it's a fun movie. If you love action you can watch. 7/10

Too much death too much blood!
24 January 2019
After the first season, with the release of the second season, I finished the series in a breath. I think this is the best project of the Marvel-Netflix partnership. It is a solid series that has been achieved after the cancellation of many Marvel-Netflix joint projects.

Action and blood enthusiasts will love this series. There's a lot more blood, death and action than the first season. In the second season has as much violence, blood, action and cruelty as you don't want. At this point, one of the other thanks must go to the kerography team. As you will certainly notice, we are watching episodes filled with fight and conflict scenes. The tempo is not interrupted for a moment, and each episode tries to place at least one action sequence. The Punisher's 2nd season just put Frank Castle in the chaos he deserves, and he succeeded in bringing all the minuses into a negligible situation.

The season has two main villains and both are as wild as the Punisher. The fiction is also established accordingly, and our two main villains are advancing in parallel. Curtis is one of the good characters of the season. He represented the conscience side of the series very firmly. Amy is another prominent character of the season. She's under Frank's protection because she's close age to Frank's dead daughter. It's fun to see Amy with Frank. Amy is a well-designed character. Her adolescent behavior, her indiscretion, and Frank's reaction to all these things are very natural. With Jon Bernthal's great acting, we have access to the emotions of a father hidden behind a bloody face.

The music uses were probably the best among the Marvel-Netflix co-productions. Too much music has been used and each one is very successful in passing the emotions of the scenario. Like Daredevil's corridor scenes, it's like we're going to look again at the Punisher's list of songs. And of course it is necessary to mention the last episode. It was one of the finest series finals for me. After many striking and emotional moments, it is impossible not to experience emotional explosion with the last scene. The Punisher role is seated on Jon Bernthal like a shirt.

We have watched an immaculate season with strong scenes of conflict, good acting, immersive fiction and fluent scenario that never falls behind its first season and even better for some of us than the first season. I hope it will be a long-term series and we will continue to watch Frank Castle. 10/10

Sex Education (2019–2023)

It's Fun !
20 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Sex Education is a coming of age story about 16-year-olds, their life in high school and at home, and, most importantly about their sexual developments. The main storyline unfolds around a boy named Otis. His mom is a sexual therapist, which makes sex and everything connected with it even harder for him to talk about. Ironically, Otis, who has very little experience and feels tremendously awkward when it comes to sex and relationship, is surprisingly good at giving advice on those subjects to others. Therefore, this edgy cool girl Maeve, who is, as most would say, way out of Otis' league recognizes his "talent" and encourages him to start a sex clinic inside school. And so that the story starts.

Compared to other teen series and films found on Netflix, Sex Education may be the most substance-rich, but it lack innovative concepts and novel themes to be called a round work. So you get presented many important discussion that deal with homosexuality, family problems to far-reaching critical issues such as abortion. However, I found dealing with these conflicts often very clumsy and superficial. In many places I had wanted more depth and a more intensive handling of the individual topics. Instead, the discussions were kept to a minimum and barely picked up by the characters and packed into meaningful dialogues.

Another point of criticism was the often stereotypical portrayal of many protagonists and the entire social environment shown. So it seems almost a trend to be that just standing in the corner inconspicuous boy may someday have the girl of his dreams. I do not doubt that there are such social structures or at least similar ones in every school and in almost every life of a 16 or 17-year-olds. But the creators of the series could have trusted more and to be able to present a story without the obvious presence of such clichés. There are some clichés, but it has no special effect on the whole. Even at its lamest, cliche moments, this quirky show remains quaintly entertaining. In many series or films for similar target groups, puberty, first love and first sex are often portrayed romantically and therefore often appear unrealistic. Sex education, however, shows a blunt and sincere approach and may perhaps convince one or the other viewers of this uniqueness.

I believe it's important to see this series. It opens a subject about sexual developments of teenagers that should not be ignored. It also shows how everybody has their problems and nobody is perfect, and that there is an explanation to everything. We can see the fact that everything happens for a reason, that everything has a start somewhere and that if we as a community help to find that start, we can also help one to get rid of their issues, feel full as a person and happy with who they are.

In terms of acting performance, Sex Education painted a picture similar to own. The individual performances were in some cases quite authentic and convincing. However, some protagonists were so over-cliched in my eyes that the performance of the actors had to suffer as well. So you may praise some protagonists for their performance, others were not particularly prominent and therefore not very credible.

Although most of the time the viewer will know what the stories are all about, "Sex Education" is the first pleasant surprise of the production year. With consistent and clever ideas, playful performers and a lot of charm, this coming-of-age comedy with adult audiences should be a reliable "binge watching" candidate for many. "Sex Education" was certainly not a bad series and could also take some positive points with its open-hearted nature. 8/10

What would you do for love?
19 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The Lifetime series, adapted from Caroline Kepnes's book of the same name, came to Netflix on November 26 and was liked by the users. The series attracted my attention thanks to Netflix. I started watching the series without much anticipation. It was very immersive and fluent. The monologues were fine. It's nice to be told the events through Joe's eyes. I think that's what keeps the series going.

The series tells the story of an obsessed perverted man falling in love with a woman. When Joe first sees Beck in the bookstore, he falls in love. We are going to see Joe's interaction with Beck, which starts with a book offering, and turns into a relationship. Joe proceeds to stalk Beck on every available social media site, quickly determining that she's the one for him. In the process, Joe is doing some amazing things. He's watching Beck's house, following every step. He goes into her house and steals her stuff, her clothes and her phone. He kills her lover, researching her friends. In doing so, he remains so calm that everything he does looks normal to the viewer. You realize you're wrong, but you don't hate Joe. Joe's problem is actually his background. His past experiences make him obsessed. Both Joe and Beck are two problematic people. "How is the relationship between two problematic people?" We find the answer to this question. Although it isn't true, Joe is doing everything for the woman he loves, Beck doing it for herself. You decide who's worse. Despite the bloody appearance, the series is not horrifying.

I found acting performances in the series successful. The soundtracks of the series was good. Colors, sounds, frames - everything works correctly on the atmosphere. Although it is simple as subject, its immersiveness increases the traceability. If you don't watch with too much expectation, I think you'll have a good time.

The series has a lot to say about our society's addiction to social media, and the dissonance between the curated images we project of ourselves online and our authentic selves. While You offers some suspense, it also offers a distorted way of looking at Joe's criminal behavior. This series is well worth watching and will make you think about your social media account. 8/10

The Peaky Blinders Rises!
8 January 2019
In Peaky Blinders we follow a family after the First World War that is always looking for power and money. But a policeman arriving at the city is looking to stop this family, but it's not easy. It will also be noticeable the segregated fight of ghettos like Italians, gypsies, local gangsters and Jews. Peaky Blinders is an excellent gangster drama full of rich, interesting and diverse characters. The fact that Peaky Blinders is a crime series can give the impression that characters are macho men. But this is not true. The series also incorporates many powerful female characters. It has an excellent cast and script. Thomas is a character who uses his strategic intelligence and applies violence to his own ends without hesitation. The film music is the highlight of the series along with Cillian Murphy and Tom Hardy. The director does resort to a modern soundtrack that reflects the fiction.

It is estimated that one episode of the series is worth 1 million and 1.5 million euros. This means a rich, detailed and beautiful work of art. Constantly supporting the narrative structure visually, Peaky Blinders often touches upon the working conditions of the working class in Birmingham. Peaky Blinders, with a color scale that chooses to contrast between pale blues and greens, and contrasts with the shades of red, makes the strongest manifestation of emotions in the midst of this unknown, while attributing a distinct obscurity to Birmingham's misty air. Also, the visual effects used from time to time are quite clever. The visual effects used are also quite compatible with the historical theme of the series.

Peaky Blinders makes each episode a separate action and drama. It's a breathtaking series where you can see the rise of Peaky Blinders. 9/10

It is possible to see all kinds of chaos. Neo-Nazis, motorcycle gangs, drug and bet mafias, good bad cops...
7 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
The second German series after Netflix's Dark series. We are witnessing the wars between the Neo-Nazis, Turkish motor gangs, drug and bet mafias in this crime series in Berlin.

The best player Orkan Erdem in the German national football team, who happens to be of Turkish origin, is murdered in Berlin. Even though he was married, Kurt Grimmer, one of the murder table detectives who was with his lover, coincidentally comes to the scene of accident. As soon as he finds out who the body is, he thinks he's facing a delicate situation and confiscates this circumstance. The next evening, there is Germany-Turkey football match. He thinks that the German national team, deprived of their best player, will lose the match. And he goes to make a bet. Although Kurt succeeds in convincing his superiors to keep his murder secret until the end of the match, his main goal is to prevent the Turkish national team from betting odds falling. After this incident, Neo-Nazis, Germanist Turks, Serbs, Arabs, mafia and gangs will enter each other. And we're gonna watch a big chaos. Kurt Grimmer, an old Neo-Nazi, and Erol Birkan, a gay Turkish origin German police, conduct the murder investigation together. Two dissident police officers are trying to solve the murder of Orkan Erdem. They are also after Tarik Amir and Kovac gangs. We are also witnessing the underground rap world of Berlin through side characters.

Gangs, racism, drugs, bets, rigged game, discrimination, lovelessness, unfaithful spouses, dirty cops are among the topics that are criticized by the series. In the series, we see the racism against the Turks by the Neo-Nazis. I think Neo-Nazis are badly shown. Not the Turks. As it's supposed to be. They also shows the German police in the series as bad police. There is no attempt to badly shown the Turks. Yes, maybe there is racism in Germany as well as in the whole world, but I don't think they do this series to make Turks look bad. And I'm a person against racism. It is a country that has already well defined the issue of citizenship. I just look at this as a series. And in my opinion successful.

The cast of the series is quite good. Turkish-born German actors are taking part in the series. All acting is fine for me. As I watched the series, the Turkish sentences I heard increased my interest.

The series started with a fast pace and continued at the same speed without slowing down. I found immersive and fluent. They show Germany's underground world and the fight between the gangs in an impressive way. Weapons, drugs, bets, gangs, women, fights, everything is in this series. As a drama, Dogs of Berlin delivers in spades. You can watch this series in one breath. 8/10

Diseased mother-daughter relationship...
4 January 2019
Camille, who was drunk almost every hour of the day from the moment she arrived in town, tries to repress the traumas she has experienced but she is not very successful in that regard. We understand with instant flashback scenes how emotions that Camille suppressed suddenly surfaced and she can't cope with her past. The town's suc-cessful drowning atmosphere, combined with masterful work of fiction and image management and with the convincing performance of Amy Adams, turns the series into a complete mood, so to speak. With the hypnotizing music that plays in the background while watching to the series we seem to be drunk in the Wind Gap with Camille. There are great soundtracks from Led Zeppelin to The Doors, from Bob Dylan to Johnny Cash.

The scene transitions between past memories and the present are very successful. It's like the scenes are intertwined. You're not leaving the general story of the series as you watch the past memories scenes. It's very well tuned. We see that the series doesn't go on a straight timeline. The scene at the beginning of the episodes is actually the final scene. Although not in each episode, some episodes have these time shifts.

In the background of the series, the words shown for 3-4 seconds may give hints about the series. At least when you watch it carefully, it makes you think. Who knows, maybe a subliminal message. You're unlikely to guess who the killer is. Because in each section you focus on different people. Ideas may change as new details emerge. So it's a little hard to guess. Something I like about this series. Because an unpredictable series is more attractive to me.

I found the acting very good. I think Amy Adams deserves the Golden Globe award with this performance. She conveys her character's mood very well to the audience. You feel deeply the feelings of Camille. Amy Adams and Patricia Clarkson are really good. I found the tension between them very good. Unfortunately, it is not possible to escape from the parents we are attached to. Camille also lives this situation deeply. I guess one of the most complicated things in life is the child-parent relationship. Eliza Scanlen who plays the character Amma is very successful. Like two separate characters in the morning and night. It's like there's someone else in Amma when it's night. Of course it is necessary to open a separate parentheses to Sophia Lillis. She performed very well.

Although the first episode starts with a slow pace, the next episodes are moving well. And it reflects thriller very well. The entire town, including the police, seems to be looking for the killer from a single perspective. It's like the killer is the whole town. I love watching horror movies but I can't say I'm scared most of the time. But in this series, there were a lot of scenes that creeped and disturbed me.

In the series the mystery of the killer is preserved until the last moment, but in the final, the series shoots the audience in the heart with a single sentences. The series manages to leave a shocking effect on viewers with its final. Sharp Objects gave the message that it wanted to give in eight episodes. I can recommend it for those who love the psychological thriller and killer themed. 9/10
