and the winner is.....

Great to see beautiful (the real ones and the pretenders..) at the EMMY's again.

Great tributes but the one with Aaron Spelling with the Angels is the show stealer!

I think, it's time for the EMMY to changed their trophy and mold it a'la Jaclyn Smith...the woman knows how to steal the thunder from everyone especially her co-stars. It also shows why she's still a fave in Hollywood. I don't think, there's any bad bone in her. She's just as sweet and classy as she was in the Angels show. She hasn't changed a bit. From head to toe, Smith is just smashing....!

Excellent and enjoyable TV ride of the 80s
18 January 2008
This series has the distinction of being the only female character in this four-week cycle TV-series from ABC.

It is also one of the most rewarding ones in the company of Columbo and B.L. Stryker. It's just unfortunate, that the series didn't last longer. It interesting to know as well, that this is from the same production company/creator of the highly successful LAW & ORDER TV series -- the legendary Dick Wolf.

It's a clever concept and the idea of having a series of this kind, is a welcome medium to all the fans of this genre. Veteran actress Celeste Holm, as Smith's divorcée' mother is an absolute "scene stealer." She's funny, she's gorgeous, and she's got 7 ex-husband to count on, when she needed them -- well, just in case.

Smith is also excellent, relax and well-composed as Christine Cromwell. This is the kind of role, she's bourne to excel.

Rage of Angels (1983 TV Movie)

TOP TV DRAMA of the 80's
11 June 2007
This is probably one of the best adaptation of a Sidney Sheldon's novel. Shown in 1983 as a two-part TV miniseries, Jaclyn Smith stars as Jennifer Parker, a novice New York lawyer who had to clawed her way to the top.

Book lovers of Sheldon's novels, will enjoy this adaptation. Sheldon serving as executive producer of this film, made this film like reading his book.

Smith's performance is an added plus.A capable performer, Smith is excellent as usual. Armand Assante and Ken Howard provides the love interests. Assante is excellent and Howard portrayed his role of a politician like a real one -- huge, and boring! Excellent music and Smith's never been so beautiful on the small screen. A must for fans...

Settle the Score (1989 TV Movie)

Outstanding drama...
14 January 2007
I'm not quite sure if this is the same movie the other reviewer saw. I reckon, this movie is one of Jaclyn Smith's best performances.

It's not a typical "Jaclyn Smith" melodrama. It's deep, and disturbing. It's actually a welcome change from Smith, who's become so popular as Sidney Sheldon or Danielle Steel's poster-girl-- sort of, for appearing in so many of their miniseries.

The movie itself is excellent in every angle particularly the last half hour. The "kitchen scene"is particularly excellent at the last part of the movie.

The production value is excellent and acting ensemble is absolutely five star in all aspects.

One of the best TV Drama in the 80s....
23 September 2006
Jaclyn Smith may not be the Cate Blanchet of her generation but definitely talented as compared to most of her contemporary.

This is also one of the best TV movie drama in the 80's. Sad to say, Hollywood don't make this kind of movies anymore.

Excellent performances from the entire cast. Jaclyn Smith is acting here with sincerity. You can't avoid watching her face ( beautiful in every angle) gracefully on the screen, but she's shown emotions over and above expectation.

Smith is not the "ïndie film star" of sort --a.k.a critics ravers. But if you want to sit down and enjoy a two to three hour TV production in the comfy of your own home then this one excellent production is for you.

Highly recommended....

Escape from Bogen County (1977 TV Movie)

Howdy Angel...?
1 July 2006
This is the first major TV movie of actress Jaclyn Smith. It was actually made during her hiatus from the first season of Charlies Angels.

Jaclyn has been given always a first chance among the angels to branch to a higher degree of fame. While Kate was looming to some other projects and Farrah doing tons of commercials, Jaclyn was starring in this well written and violent drama.

Her role is a contrast from her tight pants image in her series. Shes believable, scarred and yet sexy. She purrs and scream and run like hell and yet you still wanting her to not to escape in the county.

Worth watching because of acting, plot and a good ride to sit down and eat your home made popcorn!

Bourne to TV.......
29 May 2006
This is one of the best espionage/thriller ever produced on television. It's a shame that this production ended on television and not in the big screen during its released in 1988.

Although, it's understandable because during those times television was definitely much "bigger" than the movies....plus the stars Richard Chamberlain and Jaclyn Smith were the sort of royalties of U.S. television -- dubbed King & Queen of Miniseries.

Excellent performances which was awarded with nominations from the Golden Globe and Emmy Awards.

This is true to the book. If you're going to watch the movie version with Matt Damon make sure you see this one first...

Love Can Be Murder (1992 TV Movie)

Excellent ......
7 November 2005
I must say that this my fave among Jaclyn Smith's movies --welll, with the exception of "The Bourne Identity," this is my " special fave." I remember that during this time, Smith wanted to shake her halo and do more comedy but it didn't happen. Sad to say, this is probably the lowest rated among her movies in the Nielsen chart when it was shown many "moons" ago. It was released during Christmas time and we all know it's not a good idea to have movies like this competing with any movie with Christmas stories (!!!) But in all aspects, this is I reckon is excellent. Smith is wonderful and Bernsen is an actor always worth watching on the small screen.

Smith proves once and again that she is still the undisputed Queen of TV Movies!

Excellent Psycho Drama......
7 November 2005
Jaclyn Smith is definitely having a good time being "bad" on the small screen. She reminds me of Gene Tierney's character in the classic film "Leave Her To Heaven.

Smith is always a capable performer and this is one of her best. Acting wise, this is a top notch. Not only fans of Smith will enjoy this film but also fans of this genre.

For the fans, there's some shots in the opening credits of Smith's "real" magazine covers from Vogue, etc..., well, she played a former model who must have everything even the love for her best friend's husband.

Final verdict : Gorgeously Evil .......

Navigating the Heart (2000 TV Movie)

An enjoyable romantic ride.....
23 April 2005
The direction of the film is one of the weakest elements in this movie. Luckily, veteran TV superstars Tim Matheson and Jaclyn Smith are on hand to deliver one of the best romantic performances you'll ever see in the small screen. It's a pity the director didn't give the two more screen time to explore the relationship between the them. It's half bake.

But this is the kind of movie, you rarely see in Hollywood now a days. The two lead stars are so wonderful to watch and probably one of the best chemistry I've seen on TV. These two should make more movies together!
