nostalgic for some, average for others

The movie has a low rating, mostly because people hate that Britney Spears is it, that's it. It's in no way a cinematic masterpiece, but it's also not offensively bad as some people say.

It is a very average teen movie, nostalgic for some because they saw it growing up, or just a silly flick for others. The script is not good, but it has some heartfelt moments - as well as a cast that will surprise you. Did NOT expect to see Dan Aykroyd or Kim Cattrall.

Give it a chance

The movie is insanely beautifully animated through its' entirety. But it lacks a little in story and its' characters. The first half of the movie works really well in setting up the story - I especially enjoyed the first third of it immensely. But the last half feels rushed and a little chaotic. We don't really know much about Mary, but we certainly know more about her than Peter, who barely gets any personality at all.

It's hard not to compare it to Studio Ghibli, especially since a lot of the animators from Ghibli created Studio Ponoc after Miyazaki's "retirement". And in that regard it feels very much like it's trying to capture the spirit of a Ghibli movie, which honestly feels a little forced. I mean it is almost entirely made up of elements from Kiki's delivery Service, Laputa and Totoro.

The artwork however is truly magnificent, and on par with Ghibli's greatest.

everything you want and more

Endgame is the culmination of a more than decade old journey. Finales are often hyped up so much, that the finished result leaves one disappointed. But Endgame delivers on everything it promises and so much more.

The entire movie is a love letter to the fans, rewarding them with references and nods to all the previous movies during its three hour run - every one of them will put a smile on your face. Because of this though, anyone who hasn't seen at least half of the MCU movies, are going to be very confused - they're going to think the movie was great for sure, but they're not going to understand much of anything.

I honestly couldn't have thought of a better way to end this incredible journey, if you love the MCU you are going to LOVE this.
