Jerry Lee & Aretha doggy style
A cop with no experience with dogs takes a trained police sniffer dog to help him finally catch a big drug lord. The dog must be made clear who the boss is right away, but Jerry Lee is a tough nut to crack...
Jim Belushi may not be John, but he's up to the task in movies like this. I love watching him, and the dog is awesome. Mediocre story, mediocre realization, mediocre action, and mediocre humor, but Jim and Jerry have good chemistry with each other, and their charisma, combined with several stronger moments in the film, make it quite fun to watch. I loved it as a kid, and watching it again with my kids didn't spoil my childhood memories.

The sixth film in the "Beethoven" franchise is considered a reboot of the original 1992 film, but it is not a reboot in the true sense. In a way, it could be viewed as a prequel, but even that is not quite accurate. In fact, this film describes the (fictional) series of events that led to the creation of the original script and the making of the first film. In this way, they justified the use of a large number of gags from the original while avoiding the rip-off label. Although technically an obvious plagiarism, "Beethoven's Big Break" rearranges all those stolen elements and presents them on a new stage and with new characters, charming and receptive enough to forgive their lack of originality. And the iguana is awesome.

"Isn't this entertaining? Hicks and their dogs."
Beethoven meets a female and becomes a father. When a female is kidnapped, Beethoven and the puppies go on a rescue mission. And some people are there too.
Sequels to the 1992 film were not planned, but after "Beethoven" was a box office hit, they quickly put together a few more. This one is quite decent. If you liked the first one, you'll like this one too. Even though it's a class below, it's still fun, and the puppies are adorable. A good choice for viewing with young children. And then there's Danny Masterson, Hyde from "That '70s Show."
