Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters (1985)
Magnifique
Before watching this film I thought that making a movie based on the incredible life of the famous Japanese author Yukio Mishima is certainly not possible but Paul Schrader has done the impossible and created a masterpiece. Brilliantly directed, masterfully acted, and painstakingly edited; the cinematography and the production of this gem is on par with the greatest movies of all time. Adding that to the complex and superb narrative and a breathtaking score makes Mishima a must-watch for all movie lovers.
"Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters" is one of the best movies of the 20th century and it is definitely deserving of such praise.
PS Reading Mishima's books beforehand will enhance your experience so don't forget to read them.
The Little Things (2021)
Don't waste your time
Good acting wasted on awful pacing and editing. The storyline was dull and mediocre at best too.
