Masters of the Air: Part Five (2024)
Season 1, Episode 5

Not much to say that hasn't been said. Best episode so far
20 February 2024
Definitely the best episode so far, and the reason is simple. More action and combat and less nonsense. These men's stories are important and the show must have more to it than just combat, but it must be the right proportion. There's no mistake why everyone says this episode was the best. The action always draws viewers of war shows over substance. The mission and the air battles were amazing. Imagine the horror of not only being in one of these flying fortresses during battle but then having to jump out of one that is going down in flames. Just remarkable bravery. I'm hopeful the rest of this series will come together and be another great one from Hanks/spielberg. I'm sure they will shed some light on these downed pilots escapes from enemy territory. I think the most hazardous and scariest place during war would probably be a submarine but a close 2nd would have to be in the air during combat. Great episode . Hope it keeps up this way.

They don't have many episodes left to blow me away
11 February 2024
I think it would serve best to not compare this to Band of Brothers or even Pacific although difficult to do. So far it's good but not what I was expecting. I'm not crazy about the characters and the Elvis guy isn't much of an actor if you ask me. The combat is much more difficult I'm sure to shoot for aerial combat than ground fighting as well as more expensive. It is such an important story to be told of these brave boys who had extremely low odds of coming back each mission so I'm glad it is being told. This episode was slow and there is always one of these in the BOB and pacific series. I mean it is not hard to tell they are trying to replicate it in many ways. More fighting and less nonsense would be great. I will of course stay with it but so far this was slowest and worst episode. We all know these guys went off and got laid but they showed zero combat scenes when they finally bombed the U-boat pens. Maybe the next episode will show a flashback of that mission otherwise what a waste. So far not great and not 8/10 overall. Cmon people. We all want to love it but it has not hit the mark yet. Just MO.

Not bad but how can anyone buy that she's ugly !!
21 August 2023
The show is interesting so far a few episodes through but is anybody really buying that this chick is some hideous monster ? I mean she's extremely pretty with a great body and supposed to be smart with a good job. Where is the undesirable parts about her.? I understand they needed to get someone and I guess she doesn't look like the prototypical Asian girl (again I don't see it) . The looks aside of the main actress it is pretty funny and is definitely not some of the real garbage Netflix has been putting out lately and passing for series. I'll stick around and stay put for the rest but man is she so not ugly .

Same writers as Lost. We should have known. Just bad all around
20 June 2023
Wow. What a total derailment of a show in the 2nd season after such promise. Another episode and still more mystery and guessing. Unfinished plots everywhere. The girl who came back who killed her brother is unwatchable and possibly one of the worst actresses I've ever seen. Now it's giant killer locusts flying around killing people or not killing people ? I don't know where to start with this convoluted mess of a season. I think that weird nursery rhyme about it comes for 3 has to do with those locusts who killed the annoying guy who was pissing everybody off. The guys wife who was in bed and now it's either the daughter or the drug addict girl who will be the 3rd one ?? Those "silver bile bullets" lol. Guess those were another dead end. The music came on the radio signal which stopped the creatures who we still know less about than the very first episode. Why, what, when, all questions still a total mystery. I'd say that was good if we had an inkling as to a reason in 18 episodes. Let's just say the finale better be some of the best television I've seen to save this titanic of a show.. lastly, the writers are the ones from Lost and I didn't know that until recently. We all shoulda known from that and saved ourselves in the beginning from this nonsense. The budget must have been under a million dollars for this because the acting and filming location etc.. are nothing special to be nice. I'm now curious as to how badly they will polish this turd off. What a disappointment!!

Never Have I Ever: ...had my dream stolen (2023)

Great show, but am I the only one noticing a pattern of racism
18 June 2023
So I think the show is great and very inclusive and all that stuff. It hits on every race , but I notice some under tones of racism or say strong stereotypes of white people. Now I know when ok if you are stereotyping white people over any other but should I point out each character and the flaws of them portrayed. They make the boys in Devys school like Ben gross as the rich entitled snob. Or the "hot pockets" as thief's and dumbasses. Devys grandma BF Jeff Garlan is some kind of thief con man. The mom says "slamming doors is for white children". If any of these roles were switched to a person of color people would be on here slamming the show as being racist. I just want to point out the hypocrisy we have in this country when it comes to racism and stereotypes. I must say I enjoy the show , and personally don't really care about these aspects, but I don't see anybody bringing this up and it's simply because if it's racist towards white or Caucasian people it simply flies and is not that serious. If this show was about a white kid from a a upper class family and it portrayed the grandmas new black boyfriend as a scammer or the screw ups and thief's at school were all black nobody would probably watch the show and be on IMDB and other social media crucifying the writers and creators as super racist and not "woke". All the white characters have strange or plain bad qualities but I guess if your gonna have to have the screw ups and idiots to be in the show and to be a certain race it may as well be the white ones where it's ok to stereotype and make fun of without Zero backlash. The only person who doesn't get stereotyped is John Macenroe but he's just a narrator and that idea was brilliant. Great show but I had to point this out.

Oh boy .. What happened to this show. Talk about a flop
13 June 2023
Once again we get an episode that teeters on possibly giving us something of an answer to who and what and why only to fold onto the same boring dragged out plots we've been dealing with all season. They start something that seems like it will be a breakthrough and just leave us on a cliffhanger, and I don't mean a good one. There's too much going on and not enough answers to the plots they are tossing out to us. The weird guy just stumbled around giving us nothing but clips of what could be an answer only to go on about the stupid drawings that we have no answer to what they mean or serve a purpose for. The acting is HORRIBLE and the writing is lazy. I warned people they were not expecting to probably even have a second season and rushed to try and put something together. So far they've failed miserably. Unless the last few episodes blow me away which let's be honest is not going to happen then I'd say this was one of the worst 2nd seasons and let down I can recently remember for a TV show. I mean I'm surprised the overall rating hasn't dropped to a 6. I'm being overly generous with a 5. I just want 1 answer next episode or at least the conclusion to 1 of these ridiculous plots that we get no answer to each week. A tip to the writers would be to at least finish a plot before you start 3 new ones each episode. My lord does this stink lol.

I'm I the only one that doesn't hate this totally ?
12 June 2023
I think people are giving this way to harsh a critic. It's a guilty pleasure for sure , so take it as that. I'm hearing a lot of people over analyzing this show because The Weknd can't act and and Johny Depps daughter isn't him and lots of nonsense. I think this episode was pretty decent getting into the way these pop stars are used and abused at times. More so in the 90s and early 2000s as I think the music business has evolved from over working these poor girls to death. This episode shows that even though Jocelyn is the star she must jump and run around like she's in a 3 ring circus. The whole Tedros thing is starting to get a little interesting as he's obviously going to brain wash her and take total advantage of a crumbling soul that is Jocelyn. Now I'm not saying this show will win any awards , and it's certainly not HBO finest, but it may get interesting and if for nothing else it will kind of shock you a bit with its wild sex scenes and crazy soundtrack. If it's not for you that's fine but I find it funny that people come on to destroy it now for a 2nd week but are obviously intrigued as well or they wouldn't be writing or rating about it. Maybe give Depps girl a shot. She doesn't seem talentless . She just plays a pop starlet lol. Im going to keep going. It's got my interest for another week.

A Great diamond dogs send off
31 May 2023
Well this looks like it for Ted Lasso and it's incredible run, though short it was a beautiful show . It was very positive, and unlike most shows on these days. It was about love and friendship, and heartache and life. The characters were wonderful. Dare I say any one character you truly hated to see in a scene. The episode was a nice send off to Ted with Richmond almost going out on top, but really nobody losses here. I'm really going to miss Ted Lasso, and the wonderful cast and way the show made me and I'm sure millions of people feel. Maybe somewhere there is a spin-off I'm sure or Ted Lasso comes back after a hiatus. Let's hope so because there weren't many like it. The show took the world by storm for its positive messages and very funny humor. We truly got it all with Ted Lasso. Diamond Dogs... Out !!!

I think better, but no means saved the season
30 May 2023
This episode was definitely an upgrade to the past few episodes for sure, but by no means saved the season. We need much more revelations and good reasons as to why the group is there and the whole deal with the creatures. It was a pretty good step in the right direction at least with the whole Boyd blood transfer to the creature. That looks like it was a peak into something about maybe how they can kill the creatures or something along those lines. Still though it hops around the same boring storylines way to much. I think we now need to find out a solid reason as to why they are all there, or at least a morsel of something that's going to lead into the rest of the season as to why. There's obviously someone watching because of that radio transmission, but that was final episode of last season for gods sake. Since then we literally have radio silence about any answers. Where did Boyd go and what are these alternate type realities they jump in and out of in the tree or caves around the town. So although the final 15 minutes were at least entertaining, it simply is t enough. They need to really ramp up the plot lines and answer questions. Like I said about yellowjackets show. I think this show wasn't intended to be so popular and get a season 2 , and I think they just threw together something for a season and what we get is a mixed bag of and shoddy plot development. Just seems like a ton of filler mixed in with portions that are relevant to the story. Simply put, they were not totally prepared and didn't have much time to make a solid season 2. Just a theory on that though.

Like the beginning song... no return
30 May 2023
Ok, so this season we can all agree was not nearly as good as season 1. I have a theory about these shows that become popular but we're not intended to be so welcomed series's much like the show From for example. They never really thought out a solid season 2 to this show so what you get is kind of a messy bag for season 2. Almost forced together and outrageous shoddy plots that have holes everywhere. This whole season has been building up to something it doesn't deliver. We just get scenes in the wild that are for shock value but not much else. Then the group as they are now running around trying to cover up a murder and dealing with their own problems they "brought back" from the wilderness with them. The Finsle was not very good at all but much like the entire season it did not deliver. Still more questions that I don't even think the writers of the show know how to answer well. Sad to say this show really struggled this season and I don't know if they can recover , but there will be another season so who knows. I think they were not prepared and threw this season together on the fly. Just to many things going on that have t really gone anywhere.

Is anything going to happen this season ??
22 May 2023
I'm watching week after week hoping to get some payoff after a great season 1, but it seems to be a lot of filler and stories that don't pan out into anything. We are 5 episodes in now to season 2 and we have just more questions and are getting no really good answers to why they are all there, and the creatures etc... Were they not prepared to get to a season 2 with this show ? I'm going to stick with it because I really think there can be a great payoff somewhere but it's getting late into the season for really nothing to happen. I really hope it picks up starting next week because it's shaping up to be a classic dud of a show at this pace.

Silo: Machines (2023)
Season 1, Episode 3
9/10
Wow. Talk about edge of your seat !
13 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was so far IMO the best episode, and an important one as we see Nichols pivot from head mechanic at "the bottom " sector to accepting the sheriff position. This episode was mainly about the mechanics having to fix their failing generator and to do so they had to shut down power to the entire Silo and risk losing it forever. Without giving to much away this episode kept me focused and on the edge of my seat for nearly the entire 58 min. This episode was important because now Nichols will take the sheriff position and what I would assume is go on a quest for truth about not only her dead boyfriend but the original sheriff's "truth" about why they are in the Silo and more important, what is outside of the Silo.

Now during this episode the mayor makes a long trip down to the bottom to present Nichols with the sheriff position , but stops at different levels on her way. Almost like a farewell tour which you will find out as the episode goes on. While the power is temporally shut down you can see the screen that shows the outside world from the people in the Silos perspective glitch for a second or 2 to actually green lush outside. A few notice but that will definitely come into play in the coming episodes. Who saw what and who will act on the pursuit of the truth as to why they are all down in the Silo, who built it, what was this so called rebellion, and most importantly, is the outside world really this poisonous wasteland or are the people being held captive by whomever is in charge ??

So far this is a really good season, and I'm someone who is usually skeptical about these type of shows and get bored fast. Not Silo. This has been well acted and good pace and story as well as keeps your attention throughout so far. Hope it stays on course.

So far the best episode IMO.
21 March 2023
So the Aurora tour starts with some major problems in the band. Daisy and Billy have major issues musically speaking and it's obvious they are both in love but are terrible for each other at this point in time. Daisy has a new "trophy" husband who we get to see just how sleezy he is. Together they are toxic and doing a lot of drugs which is destroying Daisys life and relationships with the band members, especially Billy's . They hate each other at the beginning but as the tour starts they get into a groove musically and the sparks fly once again. Billy travels with his brother who finally comes out about his love affair with the lovely British keyboardist, as the other bus is partying with the main one being Daisy. She cannot face her feelings for Billy or juggle the tour. This all comes crashing down, but will Daisy and Billy and the rest of the six be able to survive the tour? It will be fun to find out lol.

Daisy Jones & The Six: Track 7: She's Gone (2023)
Season 1, Episode 7
7/10
This episode branched the show out.
21 March 2023
Now from what I see it is the lowest rated episode, but by no means a bad episode. It gave the show some range, and after all Simone is a character in the show and needed her story told. It definitely gave insight into just how different culture was in different parts of the country in the 70s, especially the LGBTQ community. Simone was able to be much more open sexually in New York and the disco scene there. She still had to be careful, but it was a better situation than in LA at the time.

So then she received a telegram from Daisy that is very vague which makes it sound like Daisy is in some big trouble. She uproots her and her GF Bernie who is Simone's GF and DJ/business partner. The episode shows just how out of control and selfish Daisy is . Without getting into major spoilers the band gets back together but Daisy and Billy have major tension still. It shows Daisys downward spiral with drugs and men. Can the Six keep this crazy train going ?? Or will it ultimately fall off the tracks like so many tragic stories of great bands with major problems?? Just watch and see !!!

Makes Americans look dumb and lazy. Not great
6 March 2023
I thought this would be a little better than it was. I expected silly type humor with Eugene Levy, but the schtick gets old fast. I mean we get your "reluctant" and basically have a theory that anything but your million dollar mansion in LA is cringeworthy, but you don't need to shove it in our faces. I think Eugene Levy comes off as making these wonderful people who are showing them their culture look very childish and like they are the strange ones. He makes Americans look really dumb and uncultured. The point of the show isn't lost on me as I get what they are going for, but just found it kind of insulting towards people of these beautiful countries and resorts. They lay out the red carpet and best of what they have to offer just for Eugene to make stupid jokes about them, off camera I may add. Each episode is kind of the same formula and coulda been more informative.

The White Lotus: In the Sandbox (2022)
Season 2, Episode 4
9/10
Brilliant show, great episode
21 November 2022
There are currently about 5 storylines going on within the white Lotus this season. This episode brings to light a few possibilities. First we are all thinking who the body is going to be from the opening scene of this season. Will it be Ari or the English boy who seem to be in a love triangle now, or is it something more? Michael imperioli seems to be drinking himself into madness because he sees his son with the girl he wants to be with but he's trying to stop his philandering ways. Monica meets some new "friends" but what are they after ? She seems like a golden goose for them , and they are trying to get her off the island for maybe a sinister reason ?

Harper now is understanding what Daphne is talking about at the palazzo regarding men. Lucia and her friend are up to their same tricks . Hilarious!

So many different stories. What will happen when everyone but 1 gets a toy in the sandbox ? Definitely some sinister things to come. This show is brilliant and the writing and acting is top , and the filming and location is just stunningly beautiful.

Their suppposed to be from Queens but they all have a Boston accent??!
2 October 2022
Ok, so the movie was ok, and the acting was pretty good. It had some good laughs and has a decent message, but the 1 huge think that's wrong is that they are supposed to be from New York, but they all have Boston accents lol. I mean how could a director like farelly , who is from Boston and clearly knows the difference between accents, let this go.?? Is it so hard for them to at least get that right ? Major misfire in the film. Zack Enron was good and bill Murray had his moments of silly jokes.

The best part was actually the bringing of the beer to his pals. It's an awesome thing chickie did, and so crazy it could and is a movie !!

Five Days at Memorial: Day Five (2022)
Season 1, Episode 5

Riveting. Hardcore, but necessary watch
3 September 2022
5 days at memorial is as good a show as there's been since Chernobyl in my opinion. It's raw and brutal to watch, but very necessary in my opinion. We are sheltered as a society to the horrible aftermaths of these natural disasters. We are always shown the best and heroic actions, but it is necessary to not forget the horrors and learn from the mistakes of our governments and it's citizens. This episode dives into the aftermath of the "killing" of the 45 patients and the actions a desperate few nurses and doctors put into incredible circumstances to make life making decisions in a hospital lost to a devastating storm and insurmountable odds. This is not to show wrong or right, but to hopefully learn from these tragedies and hopefully correct the wrongs from happening again. Very powerful episode and series. Must see tv.

Just because it's GOT stamped doesn't make it great.
22 August 2022
Really, all these 10s for the 1st episode I do t get. I loved GOT, but I always find that just because this is a GOT story doesn't make it or give it the right to be put in the same category. I really wanted to love the first episode, but found it dull and the characters all unlikeable as well as miscast . The characters make a show and while an actor like paddy considine is a fine actor he and that king wig are totally unbelievable lol. The plot is very much the same as GOT also, which isn't a bad thing but hopefully it gets much better. I found it hard to stay focused watching it which is a sign to me that I am obviously not into it. I do have hope for the show, and I'm praying it gets better because I've been waiting like everyone else for this new GOT series. Only time will tell, but unlike GOT first episode that had me craving more , I did not feel that way about this series first episode at all.

Found it dull and the actors unbelievable.
22 August 2022
I will start with that from the start I was not into the first episode at all. The characters unbelievable because the actors seem miscast. Paddy considine is a fine actor, but not for this part. The production and HBO obviously sink millions of dollars into the series so there's no issue on that aspect. I just found it too similar to GOT as far as the plot. The wigs as well, OMG lol. Obviously many have noticed that from the reviews. I was very bored and actually fell asleep 2 times trying to finish the first episode. I will give it a chance and hope I warm up to it or it actually gets better. Just because it's a GOT story doesn't mean it's necessarily good or great. The 10 star reviews are mostly bogus as usual.

1 August 2022
First off I'd like to say the acting in this series is obviously phenomenal and Edgartan is a rising star but PWH takes this character and role of a dark twisted child murderer to another level. This episode he mesmerizes while speaking of a murder so well that you are hanging onto every horrific word he says. Just must see television. This series is as good as any that I've seen. I'll put it up there with the first season ofTrue Detective.!!! YES, it's THAT Good. Unbelievably believable character and one of the best serial killer depictions I've ever seen.. phenomenal episode !!!

26 June 2022
Great story so far and of course Bridges shines along with Lithgow. I'm really enjoying the story as it plays out, but man I forgot why I watched so many streaming services. The commercials on FX have gotten worse and worse. I feel like I can't remember what's going on there are so many interruptions. FX offers some great award winning television, but they need to go to cable or something. I can't with these commercials every 6 minutes of storyline. Terrible way to watch a interesting show.

CODA (2021)

Very sweet , but is this what is passing for Oscar worthy
8 March 2022
Now I think the movie was very beautiful and heartwarming as well as a very well timed film, but (I know I will be the villain here) is this really what is passing for best film at the Oscar's potentially?. Have Hollywood been so over soaked with remakes and super hero movies that we are just getting a watered down version of what we consider great films. Coda was a lovely movie and the source material was great, but I just don't know if I can come to call this a best picture worthy film. I hope most cinephiles like me are not satisfied with CODA being the best movie that filmmakers have to offer us over an entire year. We need to get back to making original films from the great directors that we have. I know marvel an DC movies will not stop being made because of the money they generate but they are destroying the movie industry and the reason so many potentially great films are not being made and we are settling for basically a Disney style film as being the potential winner of the highest achievement in film in 2021. I don't mean to be harsh and I enjoyed the acting and art direction and everything about CODA, but I cannot give it a 10 or except this as the best film Hollywood has to offer us. Sorry :)

I think it could have been better
28 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
First I'd like to start by saying I think this season was amazing, but I have to agree with the people who don't think the finale was all that great or fit with the rest of the great season. The whole shoot out at Fezcos with Ash was a bit much, and not necessary. I feel like we didn't really close out the season with answered questions, but really more. I get that they need to set the table for season 3 , but I felt kind of empty at the end of the episode. I feel like we watched to much of Rues fathers funeral, and we watched the same thing we did the previous 2 episodes. All in all a sloppy episode. Euphoria was still excellent this season, but finale definitely fell short, and although I wanted to love the finale I just really didn't.

I think people just don't understand the addict.it was a meaningful episode
14 February 2022
I see a lot of people who understood this episode and many are saying it was filler or flat or unrealistic after what they saw from Rue in the previous episode. The answer is simply that yes, Rue as most addicts can go through a day or any period of time that they are completely out of control or searching for their drug so as to not be sick, and turn it around quick when they either hit bottom or get their fix. In this case it was both and she was given medication to not have withdrawal symptoms so she went back to her normal self. I think people that don't understand addiction say that she was so bad to people she loved that that is just how she is, but that is not true in most cases. She was being controlled by the need to do her drug and would stop at nothing to get it, but that is a symptom of addiction and not oneself.

Besides that it cleared up the whole Jules and her disk being out there and Nate and Cassy seem to be as dysfunctional as Nate and Maddy were in their own way. Fezco and maddys sis seem to be getting close , but it looks like the cops are going to raid him in the next episode or finale.

So I disagree that it was a flat episode or filler. It actually sets the stage wonderfully for what Rues future is going to be as far as her addiction. Remember at the end it looks like she will not be able to enter an in patient rehab because she already went through withdrawal and is on a anti withdrawal medication like methadone. This could potentially be catastrophic as an addict needs time in a rehab and not just a few days and some medication to really have a chance at getting clean. So much happening it's hard to say this was a bad episode or not on track with the story. I say excellent depiction of drug addiction and it's effects on a family.
