Fit (I) (2010)

Cheesy, but a good message
17 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Fit is one of those films that you either love or hate. Sure, the acting isn't GREAT, and it is sort of cheesy, and pretty cringe at times (You wot m8? You callin' me GAY?!).

Despite this, I enjoyed it. It has a good message and nice characters that I genuinely felt hate/sorry towards. The characters all had segments dedicated to them, and how they struggled being gay/having a gay friend, and all of the surprising amount of homophobia in the film.

There is quite a lot of change throughout the film as well. There was a character I hated, since he was one of the Chauvin bullies, but it was eventually revealed that he was gay. After that, he began to get more friendly, and TBH, I felt sorry for him.

The one I felt most sympathy for was Karmel, since she had Homophobic parents and was scared to come out as gay.

Very fun
21 February 2016
Warning: Spoilers
There is not much to complain about. It has excellent characters, good storyline, brilliant, memorable jokes, and decent actors. It may take one or two episodes to get into, but it is worth watching. I watched the first season in one day, and the second season the next. It only takes a few hours to watch, which is a shame.

You honestly feel sorry for certain characters, like Linda, as she is always the one being bullied for being Asian and ugly.

Season 1 get you into the characters for the first couple of episode, and then get into it. Season 2 introduces two new and just as excellent characters, while taking away two from season 1 (One of one is Oliver, my favourite character).

It is also based on the Office, with its camera movements.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl is a fantastic game that completely immerses you in the atmosphere. The game play is beautiful, and I love the idea of limited weight. The open world allows you to explore a lot. The mutants are frightening and believable. The storyline contains twists and turns. The Underground labs are some of my favourite level designs, and can be quite scary at times.

The game does have a few problems. It is very buggy and contains numerous glitches. The in-game voice acting can sometimes not be all that good.

Putting that aside, It truly is an amazing game that everyone should experience! Final Review: 9.1 / 10

How the hell are people entertained by this garbage? Its awful! Their jokes are lazy and repetitive, and quickly runs out of originality. The narrator's voice is boring and almost never changes tone. He honestly sounds like he just wants to get the video over and done ASAP so he can collect his next pay check.

I especially hate it when they make videos about films that are actually good, and make it look bad.

I know that you are probably going to say 'Oh its just a joke!!' Well if its a joke they should make it funny.

Good Game
14 January 2016
After the failure of Clear Sky, I didn't have high hopes for this game. But I'm glad I bought it, because it is honestly a really good game. It's atmospherical when it needs to be, similar to ShOC.

I thought the mission Underground the Jupiter factory was the best part of the game. I had do most of it myself though, as all my buddies died near the start.

The game is VERY stable, and I have only had it crash once or twice.

I didn't really enjoy the graphics, and found them kind of looked like they started to run out of time. I have also found that it is Extremely LAGGY when anything else other than the game is open, so its difficult to play if trying to record with FRAPS. But that might just be my edition of the game, I don't know about anyone else.

Metro: Last Light (2013 Video Game)

Improvement Over The First Game
19 November 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I love this game. The story, the characters, the gameplay, the atmosphere... Not a lot to fault with this game. Some of the characters skins (mainly the trousers with pink lines down the side) I didn't really like. And the boots were not really very good looking. Aside from this, GREAT GAME. Improvement over Metro 2033 in almost every aspect. I don't understand why anyone would not like this game.

There were some people that faulted the game for its use of Female characters being sexualised. I felt the sex scene with Artyom and Anna fit the story, considering the fact they were going to die. The strip club was a little weird, and there were women in the Theater that could be considered 'sexualised'.

I also prefer the style and layout of 2033, but Last Light contains better gameplay.

Not as good as people say
19 November 2015
Before you bring on the hate, I understand everyone has opinions and I understand why people love this game. But I just didn't feel it. Chapters 1-7 were good. I enjoyed them. Chapters 8-13 just didn't feel as good to me. The chapters with the Alien planet I liked, even though the layout was stupid. The final boss battle was just too difficult. Personally, I like myself a good challenge, but I just didn't like it. Theending was also not very satisfying to me, either. The story was very slow, and never seemed to get too interesting. For its time, it was good. But I just didn't feel it myself.

R.I.P.D. (2013)

Not as bad as Critics say
7 August 2015
I found R.I.P.D to be a very fun film. I bought it on DVD a few months ago, and just watched it this morning. I really enjoyed it, and I will probably watch it again. I can understand why people don't like it - It is similar to MIB, but it IS based off a comic, remember? Im not sure what people were expecting when they saw it. Because the trailer made it look like just a bit of fun. And it was. People seemed to think that they were going to see an 'intellegent film'. People can be dumb.

So, Im going to wrap up this review. R.I.P.D is a film that you are sure to have a lot of fun with (I did), and I recommend you buy it.

Signs (2002)
8/10
Very Misunderstood
1 August 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Signs is one of Shymalans best films. But for some reason people didn't understand this film. Which is bulls*it because it is quite easy to understand. It is about loosing faith and then regaining that faith. IT IS NOT MEANT TO BE AN ALIEN INVASION FILM.

A lot of people did not like that the Aliens were hurt by water,a nd were complaining: 'Oh, but they cant take over a planet filled with water because water hurts them!'

Okay, I have a couple things to say to that. THEY WERE NOT TRYING TO TAKE OVER THE PLANET! If you had listened to the film, you would have found out that they were there for the people, not the planet, dips*its. Even if they were here for the planet it would make sense. If we found a planet that was filled with acid, we would still try to take over.

So I get a little angry when people say the Plot Twist was terrible, because it was great.

Skellig: The Owl Man (2009 TV Movie)
5/10
Not as good as the Book
30 July 2015
The highlight of Skellig was Tim Roth's acting. I feel that the film was just not really that great at all, just not as good as the Book by David Almond. Sure, It was close enough to the book in areas, but it just sort of failed for me.

It almost seems sad that an actor like Tim Roth is in this, as he could do (and has done) so much better, and in better films. The other actors were 'meh' and just didn't seem to act very well. But what do you expect from a TV movie that everyone forgets about?

But other people seemed to enjoy it, so I guess that most people liked it better than I did.

F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate (2007 Video Game)
8/10
Underrated
30 July 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I did not enjoy F.E.A.R.: Extraction Point as much as the other games, so I didn't have very high hopes for Perseus Mandate. But when I played the game I thought is was pretty good. Then i went to see what reviews it got, and all websites seemed to give it about 6 / 10, which is odd, since it was a HUGE improvement over Extraction Point.

I guess people didn't like it because it 'looked dated' and 'wasn't original'. I found it quite fun, and an interesting story. I even felt for one of the characters - Lt. Steve Chen - I was fairly sad when he died, as it was hinted he had a family.

So, I had fun with this game, and I hope other people do as well.

One of the best games ever made
29 July 2015
Warning: Spoilers
F.E.A.R.: First Encounter Assault Recon is mind blowing. It has Good Action, A seriously scary atmosphere, and an amazing story.

I found the story a bit confusing to be honest, which is good, because that is probably what Monolith productions was going for. I tried to just play the game, and have fun, which I did.

On the first time round I managed to pick up that Alma was a powerful psychic, mother of Fettel, the one you are trying to kill, who is also commanding a Battalion of Cloned Soldiers, then in a plot twist you were the other son of Alma, and Fettels brother. Harlan Wade is your grandfather, and Alice Wade is your aunt.

On the second time playing, I found out much more from laptops and phones about all the experiments and who was involved, and other stuff like that.

I would also recommend the other games, created by Monolith, Day 1, and even the Vivendi expansions (Extraction Point I didn't enjoy as much, but not terrible).

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky (2008 Video Game)
5/10
Not as good as the others
29 July 2015
This game was not too bad, but it really annoyed me - Your health goes quickly, armour is useless, etc..

I have only played the start of the game, around the first time you see Sidorovitch - Too difficult and, I never thought i would say this on a STALKER game, but kind of boring and really difficult - no money, not armour, too much sh*t in my inventory, and other things like not being able to stash just be clicking - you have to DRAG the items into the box.

There is also no atmosphere in this game. The other games definitely have some pretty good scary/creepy moments, but Clear Sky does not seem to at all. Maybe it gets scary, but I probably wont find out myself.

Though this game is not too bad, I probably will not really get into this one. I would highly recommend Shadow of Chernobyl and Call of Pripyat.

Just bad.
6 July 2015
Warning: Spoilers
This film is bad. Don't bother with it.

The girl obviously has something wrong with her (self harming, violence, etc..), and the parents don't want to do anything about it. She goes to see a therapist, and he recommends medication for the girl. He is fired. Seriously, what the hell?? He is just trying to help her.

Also, the PARENTS Don't TELL HER (or anyone else) THAT SHE HAS TOURETTE SYNDROME!!!! How could someone try and hide the reason of the child's behaviour that she clearly is worried about herself.

This film is just absolute s*hit. If you want to see a GOOD Drama film, I would recommend 'White Oleander'. THAT is a film worth watching.

Easily the best Animated film
6 July 2015
If I could give this film 11 I would give it 11. My mind was BLOWN by the brilliance of this masterpiece. I find it hard to believe anyone could hate this.

I love the tension i this film. It had me on the edge of my seat in the cinema 5 years ago. I cried three times in this film - I think you know when (Lotso's back story, Furnace, and Ending). Come on, you cried as well. Pleease tell me you cried. I cant be the only one.

I also love the villains in this film. Each of them has something about them that just seems great. Lotso's back story really just says it all.

I Shouldn't Be Alive (2005–2012)

Absolutely outstanding show
20 June 2015
While some of the acting is not that great, 'I Shouldn't be Alive' is an amazing show, that tells dramatic and thrilling stories of people that have been in some of the worst imaginable situations.

I have seen some films where people have gone through situations like this (for example, 'Touching the Void' and 'The Beckoning Silence'), but the fact there was a TV show about these sort of things is incredible.

So like I said before, some of the acting is pretty terrible, but aside from that is it really just an amazing show.

The Mist (2007)
10/10
One of the best films ever made
30 May 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Along with directing the best TV series ever (The Walking Dead), Frank Darabont has also directed one of the best, and most underrated film ever: The Mist.

I was unsure what to expect at first. I knew it could never be as amazing as TWD, and reviews from film sites had not been spectacular. But when I watched it, I was amazed at the greatness of the film.

I have never been a fan of Roger Ebert, but when I found out he disliked the Mist, I was shocked. His review was paragraph after paragraph of hate.

Marcia Gay Harden's performance was truly spectacular. One of the most unlikable movie characters (asise from Captain Vidal from Pans Labyrinth) The ending of the film really makes it. The guy shoots his son and three others, only to find out that help was only a minute away, and if he had stayed at the supermarket they would have been fine. Extremely depressing.

Not a Bad Film
30 May 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I am a very big fan of Simon Pegg, (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Worlds End and Paul). A Fantastic Fear of Everything is not Pegg's best work, but still a rather enjoyable film that I found hilarious (The best was probably PC Taser playing 'Final Countdown' near the end).

A Fantastic Fear of Everything is one of those films that you just need to sit back, watch, and just enjoy the film for what it is. I have only watched it once, and, truth be told, it will probably stay that way.

There isn't really much else to say about this film. It is basically a Comedy/Thriller about a guy scared to go outside because he thinks he is going to be murdered.

Just watch it.

Sucks at being a Horror
29 April 2015
I don't really have much to say about this film.

The Dialouge is bad, the Character development is REALLY bad, and the plot is... I don't even have a word.

And another thing...

It sucks at being a horror film. Seriously. After the film had finished, I thought the genres it would get on IMDb were: Action, Fantasy, Thriller. Then I saw that Horror was also there, and I thought to myself *WHY????* It made the film even worse for me (Horror is my second favourite genre, with Thriller being my favourite)

I wouldn't bother with this film. If you see it in the shop, don't buy it.

A Good Monster Movie
16 April 2015
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is one of my favourites, and don't understand why it received mixed reviews.

Vin Diesel portrays the character of Riddick quite well, and the monsters and graphics were quite good for its time (And likely still good today)

But there are two things i need to complain about:

1. The fight scence between Riddick and Johns near the end is *way* too short, and Johns was defeated almost instantly (Although when the monster bites down on Johns's head is awesome)

2. I was unsure about the story at first.

Okay, okay, I know the plot better *now*, but I was somehow unsure what was happening during the first half of the film until my friend explained it to me.

And as I said in my Summary, *A Good Monster Movie*!!!

Daredevil (2003)
7/10
Enjoyable
16 April 2015
Note: Director's Cut Review I found this film to be surprisingly good, and don't understand why it got such low reviews. Ben Affleck was surprisingly quite good in the role of Daredevil, along with Michael Clark Duncan in the role of the Kingpin, and Colin Farrell as Bullseye. Elektra could have had a better actor, but I'm willing to put that aside. Some of the fight scenes were a bit fake, and there are a few errors throughout the film. There also could have been more action in the first half of the film (It was mostly just people talking to each other), but it somehow kept me interested in what was going on throughout the entire thing.

I had not seen the film up until a few days ago, and even then I almost didn't watch it (My friends were telling me it was not worth watching), but I did watch it, and I'm glad. While it isn't the perfect film, Daredevil is a good film to just sit back and watch.
